21  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: How To Progress as A Nigerian and Have a Succesful Life Despite the Situation at on: June 08, 2024, 02:36:13 PM
You have spoken well but you should have added Bitcoin to your post so that it would not be tagged as off topic, though you can still do that now to avoidthe moderator moving your post to off topic. It's true things have changed compare to when we were still kids. I could remember how things were so easy and swift to get but as the years go by, inflation sweeps the value of our currency away and this increasing the cost of living. But this is where Bitcoin comes in, the fact that it's not being pegged to any fiat currency make it outstandingly beautiful. Bitcoin is not being affected by inflation and from the statistics at hand, Bitcoin will keep rising as demand continue to increase. However learning a digital skill is important as the world is getting digitalized and this is another advantage for Bitcoin being digitalized make it an updated version of transactable currency to be used in this jet age. One can also learn any demanding digital skill as a backup, because these days school certificates are not a guarantee that you'll get a job but adding extra skills to your profession or relevant skill might give you a upper hand to be selected among several qualified graduates.

There are several persons out there who have use FX trading/ crypto trading to make good wealth for themselves and these persons are living comfortably well in this economy. Hoping on government and private office works are scarce this days and the probability of getting one is small, learn a digital skill and increase your worth/ value.
22  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can we proudly tell people that we're Bitcoiners? on: June 08, 2024, 02:10:03 PM
I guess one of the reason Bitcoin is decentralised is because of anonymity.

Sure bitcoin was created to be decentralized and out of anonymity but that doesn't mean that Bitcoin should not be advertised or spread to others, though it is not compulsory for people to know that you are into Bitcoin but I see no reason why we should completely hide ourselves as Bitcoin investors or enthusiasts because if we continue to be anonymous then how can the awareness about Bitcoin move to other people that don't know about it because we can't say that the higher percentage of individuals in the country know about Bitcoin or even if they know about it, is only few that are investing in it so making our source of income from Bitcoin know can help to convince others that Bitcoin is not a scam project as some people thinks and will also persuade them to be part of this life changing digital asset.

Sure it's good to spread the good news all over and tell more persons about Bitcoin but how about your safety? BDC agents are being arrested for involvement in crypto/foreign exchange transactions so why don't you learn from this experience and stay on a low. The government are fighting crypto and wishes to arrest any citizen that involves himself/herself with crypto, so for now it's better to stay anonymous for your own sake. You don't actually need to advertise Bitcoin before it is heard, the government are fighting against crypto exchanges and this alone is creating more awareness, not to talk of the recently launched Notcoin that brought many to realisation that crypto is a good network.

That's one thing I love about this country, we maximise opportunity and use it for our own consumption. Irrespective of the fact that our government is fighting against cryptocurrency we still do what's right and stay on our lain. Assuming our government complied to using cryptocurrency we would have been like El Salvador who made crypto a legal tender in their country. Standing as third place across the globe is a milestone and it only make it certain that we are actually intelligent and smart people.

I guess one of the reason Bitcoin is decentralised is because of anonymity. Having an anonymous wallet and lifestyle when it comes to crypto is advisable and a safe decision especially in a country like this were the government is fighting to stop dealings with crypto by restricting all P2P transactions. I prefer keeping any dealings with crypto a secret because you'll never know what's coming. We had several agents walking around arresting BDC agents for the service the offer. But the funniest part is that the government are only focusing on one direction, I don't know they haven't realised yet that crypto is not the problem to the inflation we are experiencing right now. After they have restricted almost all the exchanges and still the results is not in their favour, I don't know why they haven't changed the restriction status.
28  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Questions about Bitcoin. on: June 06, 2024, 10:47:16 PM
This is the more reason why I love Bitcoin and hope to invest in it soon, I love the fact that Bitcoin is not a centralised currency that could be messed up with by the government, else this invention would have lasted up to 6 months. Satoshi also took the best decision of going anonymous if not his life would have been threatened by those who seek to bring down this network. There are several critics who are huge holders today, at first they taught Bitcoin was a scam or even against government but today even some government are interested in cryptocurrency. While fait currencies are being affected by inflation, Bitcoin only keep increasing in value that is if you are a long term holder because, short term traders could run at loss based on impatience.

Op, the advise you gave is a good one. This recent coin that was launched really benefited many Nigerians and today there are more persons on the tap mode hoping other coins also get launched and pays like Notcoin. Within the passed few weeks I have received nothing less than 10 new project still on the mining phase that's yet to be launched, but the truth is majority of these coins are meme coins and they are not good for long term investment. Op this is were your advice plays important role, once you receive your reward after the coin has been launched the best thing I recommend is to sell a large fraction or convert it to Bitcoin and then to your Bitcoin wallet, then leave the remaining fraction should in case it also increases because meme coins are known to be very volatile and so are they profitable projects. The project if not totally scam project, it might give a x2,..to..x100 so taking profit after it must have double isn't a bad idea, but also it is better not to hold for too long.

Wow, that's Amazing. I never knew Bitcoin could also be this advantageous to one's financial activities. But I could picture the whole even and deduce that it's a true fact and it's a good one. Having more of your saving in Bitcoin and not in fiat currency would actually position your mind to think of it as scarcity especially when you are deciplined enough not to temper with your investment except the initial goal of investing has been met. Though I'm yet to buy my first Bitcoin, but based on advice and content here on forum, I'm hopping to secure a job first that could keep my investment rolling without any obstruction. To round it all up, I believe in Bitcoin and the potentials it tend to create in our financial lives because lots of testimonies have been shared, I hope to join the testifies soon.
37  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be sure of your informations before posting it here. on: May 31, 2024, 11:37:24 AM
I don notice say most people out of the quest to create new topic go just go gather any information they get for social media come drop for the forum especially the Newbies. Most of them no even get legit points to back their informations whether eh legit or make sense, them go just go see anynews carry come forum, I dey very happy as them share our Naija local board into different places come give us better moderator wey dey work very hard to move posts to off-topic or  for the accurate category where they belong. Most of these Newbies no they even act as if they come here to learn, them they do like say they done know everything finish for the forum and they go just they create anyhow topic wey no go even fetch them merits. For this forum learning na constant thing, eh no matter how long eh go take you to grow just calm down they learn from other senior members so you go improve instead of to they cap or go carry informations from anywhere wey you no go fit defend properly if person through questions or counter you all in the name of creating topics.

Op you have spoken well, information is vital and we all know that, so sharing information either increases or devalues you worth depending on the status of the Information being shared. Any person sharing false information multiple times is only keeping his/her account in probable danger because, the account could get tag for shitposting, lier or even get banned. Unlike other times, we now have a good local board moderator which is Igebotz and he is active, I remember how he gave few member tag for spam posting before he became our moderator, currently most post are being moved to archive based on the post quality of information I commend his good works. And this is also to let False information poster to be conscious of what you post here if you care for the reputation of your account.
38  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Trade your BTC/NGN, USDT/NGN on: May 31, 2024, 11:27:07 AM
Op I'm not quite clear with the project you are trying bro pull up. Are you trying to stand as a mediator to p2p transaction between member of this forum to ensure transparency?
Are you going to be taking commissions from successful trades?
What are the odds that a reputable member's account won't get hacked and used to scam  another person? And if this happens how can it be resolved?

I feel we should also consider questions like this before running into such transactions. I believe this is a public forum and any one can just create account and hunt  merit while he still uses the account for scam, these days scammer are becoming more patient and sacrificial. When talking about any thing that has monetary value experience has taught me to conduct only trusted and physical(knowing each other) business I don't know about the risk tolerance of others but I prefer an anonymous trade with a  trusted user.
