Well Idk about everyone else but when i log in to mintpal it still shows my cinni balance.
Theoretically that means moolah/mintpal knows exactly what is owed to everyone and the addresses for cold storage.
that means it is technically possible (although maybe infeasible) for moolah and cinni dev to email everyone with a cinni balance a new unique private key, which everyone imports into a new wallet, hardfork the chain and destroy all the mintpal coins/addresses/block transactions and create replica coins sent immediately to the addresses owned by the private key. Then everyone moves there coins to their own addresses with a different private key since its not really private anymore.
Probably some more technical detail needed but i think this would do the trick.
I'd like to hear a reply from dev about this idea. I dont know why we keep seeing people talking about wrong block chain because it is not the case. One person at mintpal had all the access to the cinni in cold storage and they have gone and run away with them all along with other coins. I still think the above is the only way to get coins back and that assumes Cinni Dev and what is left of mintpal/moolah want to do it and have the resources to do it.

Feature Request. Would it be possible to disable the Market Data feature altogether (and preferably by default) in future releases of the wallet? I don't use it myself, but after the recent Mintpal problems I'm concerned that the failure of this feature can cause the application to fail. At least with a simple wallet you can still access coins when there are problems with accessories.
Would it be possible also to update the blockchain zip? I deleted the blockchain before the fix was applied, and now I'm having serious problems resyncing the wallet. The current blockchain zip is 40 days behind, and after 12 hours I'm still 39 days behind.
Sorry to be complaining, but I'm still a strong supporter.
Better yet just fix the wallet code so that if it gets the error that there is no data from one of the market api's it will just show all 000's for that market. or whatever is deemed appropriate. But having the option to select which if any market apis you want to see would be cool too.

I have same issue on mintpal and they are not processing my manual withdrawal request yet.
Cinni Dev needs to work with them to get issue fixed

1111% is a bit drastic don't you think. The amount of coins will multiply by more than 11x a year. There is no amount of development that could fund improvements to counteract the drop in value especially because the price will drop before anything has a chance to be developed. How many times do you see an improvement for a coin cause the price to rise 11x? Never? rarely? It would never balance out it is a losing proposition.
just saying. I suppose we don't have much to lose since most silk holders only have a few hundred $$$$ invested at current price but I thought we were on track with just the voting system to support development and and attract new people to silk.

any plans for ccminer to add statistics like other miners out there or is there a version that has that already?
Average hashrate, current difficulty, etc would all be nice
|
|
|
ok but the hash rate really is more or less constant but if i look at the time stamps between Accepted line items it can vary from like 1 second to 10 seconds.... so something doesn't seem quite right there.

Anyone got any ideas why when using ccminer 1.2 mining in an x11 pool the time between accepted shares varies wildly? is it the pool or is this normal? anything i can do about it?

Thanks ttoroie. My signature comes from the XXIV Canto of Dante's Inferno (Divina Commedia). That's my leading principle in life.
Anyway...
About the vote system: the platform is great but the voting system based on money capacity is idiotic from my point of view. This means rich people wins. It's like recreating lobbies. For me it doesn't work. I would say one vote per address but then we have the same problem since one can create infinite addresses.
That's the main problem of the poll so far. Does this make sense?
I think this has been discussed previously but maybe it would be good to clarify where the proceeds of the voting "fee" goes. I.E for this vote currently happening do the proceeds of the vote go into a bigger pool to pay development bounties? Who controls the fund? does it just go straight to developers? acquafredda there really is no way to control voting so the silk community would have to decide which is the best way to go. 1 vote per address (but you can create infinite addresses) pay per vote (could be a means to raise funds for further development but means that the silk rich list gets what they want) need to decide how funds are used. 1 vote per address weighted by funds with some minimum age (prevents infinite addresses from voting, encourages some staking, somewhat limits influence from rich list, doesn't fund anything) may be other options but these are really the only options i see.

Can there be a cinni rich list that is operational before this timeshares thing is put out there. I at least haven't been able to find one
It would help determine if there are a few whales (or cinni himself) out there buying up a s#!@ ton of cinni just to dump all their new time share coins and cinni on the market later.

|

Is this a pump and dump happening as we speak or is someone really excited about this timeshares thing or the potential for a new dev? ? either way 9btc volume on mp is good news.

Got the Quad-copter/Drone from the Giveaway.
All decked out in desert camo in true silk style.

Anyway ill figure it out.
Thanks

Why wouldnt we try and get mintpal to keep us? They are taking feedback and user input.

If your looking for other coins that have had takeovers for inspiration or ideas on what to do and not to do look at silk coin. They fixed all their issues have voting platforms coming out, coordinating giveaways etc. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676976.msg7673641#msg7673641Silk coin is somewhat similar to Cinni maybe some cooperative work could be done with them to keep both teams moving. Just a suggestion.
