21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Lotto Winner Takes Time To Claim Their Rewards, What's The Point? on: May 22, 2024, 05:42:18 PM
I think a lotto winner should take a little time before going for the reward. This time, make plans on how to make use of it.
If it's a huge amount that can change their life's,
It's necessary to be patient when going about taking your reward of winning a huge amount of money.

It's important to engage a professional adviser to help manage the money.

One needs to be smart not to overspend; it's good to make a good decision and be determined with such money.
Making the right choice.

Take your time, don't rush, create good financial plans, pay off your debt, set a budget, stay grounded (I mean, be disciplined), and invest wisely. All this is possible with a professional advisor.

Some people are too quick to take this reward, and they end up not making use of it because they don't have any plans for it yet and it just came.

Where there is no leader, anyone is free to direct you, and it could be bad or good; you never can tell. So relax and don't think negatively; hence, you might regret it.

It's unfortunate that the young guy lost such a lot of money. With the way internet scammers are everywhere, one should be careful, especially the ones trading online. Don't be too curious, and always ask questions.

When there's information about some program, I believe there are people who will also know about it, so when you get this message, one should try as much as possible to get more information about it through someone else.

Something happened to me years ago. I was with a friend, and I got a call from an unknown number, requesting some information. With so much profit in my eagle, it came so exciting even without me knowing the contact, but at the same time I turned to my friend and told him about it. Immediately, he shouted and asked me to block the contact, saying that they would call me back and tell me some stuff, which I was curious to know, but he told me some after an argument.

Do you think I should block them immediately? No, I never did. I kept the contact, and when they called back, the same thing he told me happened, and I immediately believed my friend and blocked them.

What I'm saying is this: assuming I never spoke up that day, I would have become a victim. So we all should try to tell someone before going into an online investment. They might have experienced it or know someone who has or even has information about it.
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you found a new way to make money playing games, would you tell your friends? on: May 21, 2024, 12:12:45 PM
If there's a game for me to get money, I will surely tell my friends too.
Considering the fact that when every member of your group is winning, it gives no room for jealousy and envy and also helps you use your money well. Yes, where there's a group of five friends and one is only winning, you're at risk of being jealous, and you might not even be able to use it well because there are lots of people to help. But when everyone is loaded, then you can save yours too.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How has big wins and jackpot stories affected your gambling habit? on: May 20, 2024, 04:07:15 PM
So my girlfriend's younger sister and her friend played a girl, and she won a very big amount and her friend won more.

How it happened: I went to visit my friend and I saw lots of properties in her house, so I asked her how they came. She told me her sister played a game and won a very big amount, which she used to pay her school fees. She bought a slider and a standing fan. You can imagine the amount she won because she still had enough to shop for clothes.
The story really interests me because I was so broke during that period, and I was wishing I knew about the code before then. So I asked her for her contact information and started requesting a code to gamble. I lost a lot of small money that period; I couldn't even win one, so I decided to stop. Success stories can make one gamble and hope for a pay day. I agree with you.
25  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Tomorrow you wake up, You got 50000$ in your hand. What will you do? on: May 14, 2024, 10:55:49 PM
The first thing that came to mind was a pharmacy.

Both wholesale and retail pharmacies if the income can stand it. In a very marketing site.

Employ good pharmacists and nurses; grow it to establish other dreams.
26  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding cryptocurrency on: May 14, 2024, 10:36:28 PM
Trading is not a thing you can just wake up and jump into.
I have come across a simpler thread, and I will always advise you to get a better understanding of it.
I guess the guy isn't well educated about cryptocurrency, because if he has good knowledge about it, he will know that losses are also included, and he isn't wrong either about advice to his friends,  he's alone, watching out for his friends.

It's important for you to know that in trading, there's always a loss, and it's inevitable, especially when you ignore the basics of it.

Analysis, good communication, basic knowledge of the wallet, and confidence—that's what you need for a beginner.
As a beginner, you also need a mentor, and as long as you have the ambition and patience, you can become a professional trader.
27  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As newbies we should know the significant risk in trading on: May 14, 2024, 07:43:24 PM
As a newbie, it's advisable to have adequate knowledge of trading and to master your strategies before thinking about trading. With this process, you are no longer a newbie before you start. Yes, because before you can finish preparing your analysis, you have grown above Newbie.

Trading's a market; henceforth, there's lots to buy and lots to sell. Even in our daily market, it's an advantage to ask questions or make special requests about the business just before you can start. The base knowledge is necessary as to the business itself to avoid prime losses.
As a newbie, I believe you should have no business with jumping today trading unless you have a good mentor in it.

Don't be greedy in the pursuit of acquiring income; it's a process, and when you skip these steps, you're already falling. The success of trading is not equal to the losses, but most traders have backups, which you, as a newbie, might not have.

I have not really been here for a very long time, but I noticed there are lots of things to learn, not just Bitcoin but some nice ways of reasoning, writing, and helping me to read more often.

While county was very difficult for young people a long time ago, lots of young people went into different ways of making money, which wasn't really legit. I started watching my male friends to know what they do for a living. So I noticed they aren't into any illegal stuff, but they were doing so well, so I asked, and they told me I can also do well if I'm patient and ready to learn, so I decided to join and learn what they know.
And believe me, I have been trying my best to read more often than before, which is even helping me reduce my TikTok lifestyle, which wasn't beneficial to me.
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope I'm doing the right thing. on: May 11, 2024, 07:44:56 PM
As you said, it's important to have many ideas about what your money is going into.

In Bitcoin, the little knowledge I have is that everyone can actually invest in it, old or young. All you need is the fund to invest, and when that's available, you can register an exchange your country allows to deposit and buy bitcoins.
You also need to know that Bitcoin is just like virtual money, not your regular cash money.

How you can also earn more so you can invest is maybe by starting up a channel on either Facebook, TikTok, or other social media and letting your clients pay in Bitcoin.
While investing in Bitcoin, you also have to acknowledge "patience" because it's an investment.
You can get a lot of knowledge about coins that are low in price, buy them, and save up for growth.

Reading threads about bitcoins can help you invest without fear. It's always better to give it a try.
Lastly, you can apply for half-time jobs online and let them pay you in Bitcoin. If you are afraid to put your savings into Bitcoin, at least this money is coming in already, so you wouldn't really feel bad.

As a beginner, you don't need so much risk to invest; invest what you can actually let go of for a period of time, not your life savings.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An aggressive gambler irrelevantly easing his Irresponsible gambling manner. on: April 29, 2024, 12:21:55 AM
I have heard lots of jokes about this, like people planning on changing their betting pattern.
Going from football to boxing, just so you get some pain for letting them lose money, and it's funny.

It's a game; one can lose or win, but these people do not want anything other than winning. Sometimes it's a way for them to console themselves after the loss. This also happened in football; despite the love they have for you, you're the cost of their loss. For that day, you automatically become a careless baller or keeper. I see no reason for being aggressive about not winning, and the statement isn't called for.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: April 29, 2024, 12:03:01 AM
When I came across this type and read the thread, I just smiled. This is actually a true-life story about how gambling addiction can destroy a home, not just the violence.
Years passed when my dad was very much into coupon, a gambling game. He came home one day and told my mom about someone who sells vegetables wholesale because my mom deals in vegetables. This woman gave her husband almost all her money that faithful day to help her purchase it; unfortunately, my dad used the money for gambling in the hope of doubling it before the vegetable woman could come around, but he was so unfortunate that day that he lost that game and the money was gone. That very night was a war zone for both of them. First, he pretended to be sick to avoid questioning how funny that sounds for a mature man to do, but he did it, but that did not save him. It took the grace of God for my mom to forgive him because her business was down for a while.

Gambling addiction is actually one of the worst things that can happen to someone.

Gambling affects one's energy negatively, especially when one is losing. His emotional status will definitely be affected, as will his sense of reasoning, which will lead to misunderstandings between the man and woman, which, if not controlled, will lead to a very big disaster. They will hardly be seen at home because there's always a new match to predict.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: April 24, 2024, 11:33:04 PM
In this case of not investing for the future, I have come across these things a lot of times, and I keep asking why they live such a life. Even before the economy got to this point, this had been happening.
Some of this is the fact that they hope that this opportunity will surely come back to them, and when it comes the second time, they can use it to build up for the future.

Ignorance is one of the major reasons for this.

While growing up, I could remember a time when opportunities came to my place (the community), and there were a lot of chances to work in a company given to youth and older men. Unfortunately, lots of them sow out their chances to other people, use the money for flexing, and squander it without proving anything. And unlucky for them, this opportunity never came back. That was actually the last, and they couldn't make use of it.
And in the same case, there were also men who actually took the jobs and also squandered the finances in the hope that the work would last forever. Lots of people are living a despicable, indescribable life, not putting their future in line of failure. It's not just about the economic system.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: April 24, 2024, 10:53:38 PM
Both poor and rich gamblers take risks, yes.

Risk is actually using 70% of what you have to acquire something you aren't sure of. The reason it's different is because every rich man has an investment they won't talk about. A rich man who's not addicted to gambling wouldn't be able to gamble, which would break him down. Yes, when he loses his bet, there will be pain, but he can't even get broke with that.

Most people gamble their last cash or money in the quest to achieve what's bigger, and in that process, they lose all.
In some cases, it's the strategy that matters in taking risks, and even the poor, as you say, can get a bigger win. The best way to do this is to have a fallback plan; in this case, one doesn't need to use all he has for it but stick to a big sure code and go with it.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with economy power controls the world. on: April 20, 2024, 02:52:50 PM
Borrowing doesn't necessarily mean that a country is weak or powerless. I think for a country to grow into a strong economy, we need to develop ourselves.

In place of oil and gas renovation, which we basically export to other countries to refine and to be brought back for us to consume, I think if we bring in this idea of refining it all in the country and selling it back to other countries, it will boost our economy and make a strong economy too.

The country can employ the producers or make a decision that involves those producers bringing their tools to the country and producing these goods now.
In the aspect of borrowing, as a businessperson, you most often run into or sometimes run into debt. This is only to acquire more goods for your business to make more profit because the more finance you put into a business, the more you make profit. Lots of these mentioned countries are in different debt but still have a strong economy because they have sources bringing in income. So let's not limit ourselves to the little we get. Let's develop our country now.
35  Other / Off-topic / Re: The act of getting loss when writing.. on: April 20, 2024, 01:50:58 PM
Read and re-read the topic first, try to analyze it to your own understanding, try to maintain your view of it, and get what gives you inspiration to write. Maybe listening to a cool, nice song, or maybe yours, could be a calm place too.

Some people can still memorize in a noisy place, while others will lose their minds with the noise, so try to understand yourself and then work with it. I believe if you can do this, you can improve.

Another way I believe it could help is to read another learned comment. When you do this, you get a different view of the types and ideas before you write.

You don't have to write plenty; just write reasonable and related stuff, so you don't repeat it.

We are all learning, and I like topics like this so we can all learn new things every day.

36  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Do you not think those land borders should be opened again on: April 20, 2024, 12:42:17 PM
I consider the government should reopen the border, yes. I still remember when the border was suddenly closed. This really affected most Nigerians, especially those workers. I think our economy was better then than now.

Closing people's source of living without a major plan to fall back on is absolutely wrong. The local source has even more experience now, so it's not even a fallback plan.

In place of rice, which is currently the major consumable in the country, our local rice is not doing justice to us; I doubt if the producers even eat the rice they produce. The stress of preparing the rice will definitely make one get the foreign rice without undermining the cost. I believe if the border is reopened, there will be a place of competition in price, quality, and quantity between the foreign and the local rice, which basically will make the local producers sit up and do the needful. Once this is done, there will be more demand for local rice and less for foreign rice, which is actually their major reason for closing it. It is the first place for Nigerians to patronize our local rice and for it to be exported to other countries for sales. But with the look of things, this rice can't even pass to other countries unless it's been reformed. So to achieve the goal, I mean the reasons for closing it, we need to improve.
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When you make mistakes, do not fail to take corrections. on: April 10, 2024, 11:47:50 PM
Thank you for this thread.

I really believe it's okay for one to understand what it takes to make an error, and other things are what you can learn from your mistakes.
I believe we shouldn't be scared to make a mistake; as such, we shouldn't be afraid to start or fail.
Ignorance is actually a poisonous disease for a newbie. The ability to acknowledge your lapses and work through them matters a lot.
Until you understand what it takes to learn, unlearn, and relearn, you can't grow to a greater height.
I acknowledge those that are available to correct for us to learn. As a newbie, we shouldn't be terrified to ask questions, seek clarification where necessary, break down threads into smaller pieces for a better understanding, practice regularly, and review previous types. I believe there is more to learn in this forum.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 10, 2024, 09:39:34 PM
I believe this method can be possible if you're just gambling for fun.
Double money and quit have a low chance of winning.
It takes only a lucky day to get one win, or maybe you get a code from a reliable source, then you can gamble with much confidence.
With what I see in the gambling world, I doubt if one can stick to this, except if you are talking about someone having a gambling budget, then it has the advantage of sticking to it.

The strategy some people use is to have a definite wallet for it, fund it when you want, place your bet, and once you can't win with the money you have in your wallet, you quit for the day. With this, you can gamble at different codes and at different times.
All you need to do is divide these funds the way you can. It's good to set your mindset to stop when you should, but it doesn't guarantee a win-win.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: how to survive inflation and economy hardship on: April 10, 2024, 05:07:06 PM
It's not only about cutting down expenses; most people even spend more in a month than they receive.
I believe if we are able to acquire new skills and practice them as a side hustle to add to our monthly salary, it will help.
I know someone who, before the end of the month, will finish his salary not because he overspends but because of the cost of living, and his salary is not even enough for him.
The economic system also has a way of helping us cut some expensive costs.
Employers are not even helping matters because their pay is very low compared to the job you offer. And as a salary earner, one should try as much as possible not to exceed two months salary for rent. To also add up, we should try to buy food items in bulk; it will really help cut down on expenses.

40  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Discussion] Family decision towards kids upbringing. on: April 10, 2024, 03:59:09 PM

I came across some wealthy homes when both parents were running this productive financial race to give the kids the best life.

This is not wrong but it has to be balanced. Two parents can't work into the night, it is when you have parents who work into the night then the kids will definitely be nothing equal to useless except with God's grace that one of them can excape being stupid and useless. So parents should be able to balance their activities in the home. One of them should be making himself or herself available after school hour to pick the kids up and take care of them afterwards from school. Being financially okay is good but not to the detriment of the children because if they turn vagabonds it means that home won't have much to be reckoned with.
I agree with you.
Some parents forget the implications of not being available for their kids and not knowing when the kids even need them.
This kid, if not given attention, might feel unloved and might not really be able to sustain the wealth that they have built for themselves.
Children need parental care, and the nannies can't give them all that.
I dislike some of these things because of how the kids grow; some get abused, molested, or mistreated by their so-called nannies.
But because they have no parent-child relationship, they might not be able to speak up.
They should be able to balance themselves, to know all about the kids, and to help them discover themselves very well.
Attend their school meetings to know when your child has been bullied and to resolve it. Create play time with them; let them feel love from home; it will help their social life.
