21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Psychology of Blockchain users on: May 29, 2024, 08:37:33 PM
Have you ever wondered why people are so passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency? Or why some folks spend hours upon hours learning about it, investing in it, and talking about it online? As blockchain and cryptocurrency continue to grow and change the way we think about money and technology, it's important to understand the people who make it all happen.

Right now, we're missing a project that looks at how people act and interact in the blockchain community. For example, what makes blockchain fans different from people who use social media or online forums? What motivates them to join online groups, attend conferences, and share their ideas with others? Are there any projects out there that try to figure out what makes blockchain users tick, what they care about, and what drives them?

Understanding the psychology of blockchain users could help us create better tools, services, and communities for everyone involved. It could also help us identify potential issues and find ways to make the blockchain space more welcoming and inclusive for people from all walks of life.what are your thoughts on these do you know of any projects already doing these, I noticed a memecoin with similar identity. BlockChain people. Since it's a meme do you think it'll fulfill this objective?
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't You Think the Power of Flexible Savings Counts? on: May 26, 2024, 10:13:10 AM
So I expanded my research and discovered the apy on Bitget PoolX is 18.97% for USDT & 28.61% on ETH. The highest I've seen during this study. Maybe I'll expand my search. If you're holding ETH, I believe this is a way to grow assets without getting caught up in the day-to-day market fluctuations.
I know that you're shilling this exchange but I cannot find that poolx and only find out the savings which is about 4.5% for USDT.
And with ETH, it is 3%.

While I still use Binance and Okex for different reasons, I still believe that this means of increasing one's holdings can go a long way, because if one saves up $100K he would be getting $2K monthly and that's enough than risking to lose everything to high leverages, how do you see this to count for traders and enthusiasts?
If I've got that amount, I won't be confident depositing it on any centralized exchange to be honest even with attractive rates.

I think some top exchanges pull billions of $$ in daily volumes.i don't think depositing that is risky, I just feel proper research needs to be done and stick with platforms with some good reputation. Here's what I got from Twitter. Also noticed PoolX is flexible & you earn hourly too. Might take a look further.

I understand your point. Using platforms like Bitget PoolX can be a viable option. After reviewing the diagram you provided, I noticed that they've got the highest APR. Their PoolX event can be considered..

I understand what their volume is getting and there is no doubt that they get a lot. But the thing is, you don't hold the private keys whenever you deposit to an exchange. It's a centralized exchange and you have no problem if you trust them. However, that fact won't change even if you trust them solely and the entire volume of theirs is getting billions daily. Look at the most popular exchanges in the past, they were also trusted but what happened..

I understand your point I use dex too, but you can't completely rule out cex influence and investment in the crypto space. They still play a major role. Since the FTX saga I think some exchanges are taking rensponsibilty rn. Bitget POR funds & merlkle tree, binance safu funds and I think bybit has some too. Those are examples. I believe we shouldn't ignore their effort because the past has been rocky..there's still more to discover mate..
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Women Who Rock the Blockchain World on: May 25, 2024, 04:44:43 PM
As a participant in the dynamic crypto space, I can't help but be in awe of the remarkable women who are leading the charge and shaping the future of this industry. Two names that stand out to me are Yi He, the co-founder of Binance, and Gracy Chen, the CEO of Bitget.

Yi He's story is particularly captivating – hailing from the remote countryside of Sichuan Province in China, she defied her humble beginnings to carve out a successful career in psychology and television before finding her true calling in the world of finance and technology. As the co-founder of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, Yi He has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to identify and nurture talent, building a strong, diverse team that has been instrumental to the exchange's meteoric rise.

Equally impressive is the story of Gracy Chen, who has seamlessly transitioned from a successful career as a television host to becoming a trailblazing entrepreneur and now the CEO of Bitget, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges. As the head of Bitget, Chen oversees a team of over 1,500 employees, demonstrating her exceptional leadership skills and her deep understanding of the crypto industry.

The stories of Yi He and Gracy Chen serve as a powerful reminder of the immense talent and potential that women bring to the crypto space. These trailblazers are not only redefining the industry, but also inspiring a new generation of women to pursue their dreams and push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of finance and technology.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will It Be Jubilation or Devastation? Ethereum ETF Call Imminent on: May 24, 2024, 10:00:03 PM
I think Solana is likely to be approved for an ETF next. The Solana ecosystem is strong and has a lot of potential, but we know that unexpected things can happen in crypto. Even with ETF approvals for Bitcoin and Ethereum, the market hasn't surged yet. I'm still hoping for a big price increase soon, also on the event you mentioned saw a similar event on Bitget where they reward trade for leveraging.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Could This Web3 Project Be Aiming For Greener Solutions? on: May 24, 2024, 07:12:05 PM
As people try to reduce their impact on the planet, the blockchain world is also trying to go green. Traditional mining uses a lot of energy and hurts the environment, so new blockchain platforms are being created to fix this problem.

These new platforms, like SolarX, offer ways to mine cryptocurrency without harming the planet . https://solarx.ai/whitepaper
Do you think this is a good idea? Will big blockchain companies start using these eco-friendly methods, and how will this change the industry?

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will DeFi Wallets Remain Relevant in the Long Run? on: May 22, 2024, 10:07:41 PM
I just checked my calendar and realized today is May 22nd—Bitcoin Pizza Day! It's incredible to think it's been 14 years already. Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day, everyone!

This brings me to what I want to talk about today: DeFi (Decentralized Finance). DeFi projects have been coming up with some impressive solutions. For example, many projects are creating their own decentralized exchanges (DEX) and even have native tokens. When I see projects like these, I feel they have strong use cases and potential for long-term success.

Take HashPack, for instance. It's a wallet on the Hedera Hashgraph ecosystem.Projects like this seem solid and well grounded. It's also pretty impressive that they have their own wallet, which shows it will be  here for a long time. What are your thoughts?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Interoperability protocols in defi on: May 20, 2024, 01:32:49 PM
Saw a tweet about interoperability protocols and it got me curious. From what I understand, an interoperability protocol is like a bridge that connects different blockchain networks, allowing them to communicate and share data with each other seamlessly. Think of it like a universal translator for blockchains!

In the DeFi space, this means that different projects can work together more efficiently, sharing resources and information. It's like having a central hub that connects all the different servers, making it easier for them to talk to each other.

I'd love to learn more about interoperability protocols and explore some examples. Can anyone share their insights or mention some specific protocols that are making waves in the DeFi space?
28  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Kucoin suspended P2P in Nigeria on: May 16, 2024, 04:02:52 PM

They’ll come for all other exchanges and we are all expecting that at the moment now. After all this steps they’ve taken, we have not seen any appreciation in naira against dollar, will the fight still continue with cryptocurrencies or they’ll go through another means which they knew the right means to use to tackle this all along.

This is no more a problem to we the crypt enthusiast. The government have done so much and they wont rest till they eliminate every way Nigerians have been using to operate in that area. Only one thing is certain that they will get tired and forget about all this fruitless actions. Soon everyone will forget about what is happening and focus on themselves, the government has a hidden agenda based on their actions which they are using to blind the eyes of the youth. Surely their plans would never work out, we will surely have a way.

Someone mentioned the govt has an hidden agenda and won't be surprised to see them bring up their own P2P trading system. Thinking about it I think it may be true ahah. Anyways till then they're still good platforms that has P2P running. Someone could suggest some and you may check them out..
Yes I feel you on that guy, has in I sometimes wonder 🤔 that the government can't be doing this without having a plan of their own sha,for now me dey with Bitget I have been using their P2P for sometime now it quite reliable you fit check them out
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How AI is impacting web3 and our everyday life on: May 15, 2024, 01:49:33 PM
Hey everyone! I come from a time where AI is revolutionizing everything - from how we work and think to how we solve problems. Though mostly created by humans and comprised of code, AI is making our lives easier and faster. That's why I'm always intrigued by new projects, especially ones like VIRTUAL Protocol that bring AI solutions to the web3 space.

VIRTUAL Protocol enables the creation of AI entities capable of text, voice, and motion responses in virtual environments. Its main goal is to produce and market these AI personas effectively.

The protocol incentivizes individuals to contribute data and create AI models, while validators ensure quality and functionality, earning rewards in return. Integration into the system is simple for DApp founders, allowing for quick and cost-effective creation of immersive experiences. Content creators can creatively monetize their characters and stories. Exciting times ahead! What possibilities do you envision for AI in the web3 space?
30  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Could this be the Cause of increase in dollar rate in Nigeria? on: May 14, 2024, 09:11:15 AM
I saw a tweet that says the cause of increase in naira to dollar is caused by the dollarization of the country that the government are allowing transaction to be made in Nigeria with dollars and this caused the naira to loose value over the dollar it was said that the only legal tender in Nigeria is suppose to be naira and all the transaction should be made in naira why government con dey allow dollar to be use to pay house rent pay for pilgrims and many more why they con they allow am the economic constitution in Nigeria didn’t state that the market force will be the cause of increase in naira to dollar buh the use of naira in Nigeria and it is well known by the government and the government keep allowing the use of dollar in nigeria why.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Crypto's Hidden Benefits. on: May 14, 2024, 01:27:30 AM
I’ve been thinking about how cryptocurrency exchanges often give extra benefits when you put in a lot of money. This is different from traditional banks, where you usually don't get much in return. Crypto platforms offer rewards for things like depositing and holding onto your coins.

It makes me wonder why some people are still hesitant to try cryptocurrencies. The fact that there are so many incentives available, like rewards for depositing and other perks, shows that crypto can be a good option. It makes me think about why some people are skeptical and how the world of finance and technology is changing.what are your thoughts on this please do share?
