I would like to announce that we've requested that MintCoin be added as a payout option on Steak Cloud mining site. They are currently considering the coin to be added and would love to show them that this is a great community and will be beneficial not only to them but MintCoin itself.
Steak Cloud is a multipool mining site that allows you to use your payout address as your username and get paid in that coin.
If they add it I'll try it. |

I like the idea of a swap to eliminate lost coins. I'm worried about increasing interest rate. Afraid if to many Panda created the Panda I have will be worth less. Perhaps interest rate could fluctuate with the value of the coin. Like market cap up = interest up. Market cap down = interest down.

Price on coingecko is closer to bleutrade now.

It looks like pnd price is way up on coinmarketcap and coingecko. Yesterday up 200 + percent. I went to bleutrade and the price was nowhere near that. It was much lower even though coingecko said that price was from a few minutes ago. I bought some pnd and price was much lower than the price reported. Makes me wonder if these sites are useful for valuation of coins. Can anyone explain this?

Where can I download a bootstrap.dat file? I'm having trouble with sync. Is possible to just download it?
I don't think there is another way. Can someone create a torrent every month?  I got sync working. Worth the effort. New wallet running and up to date in minutes instead of days downloading the blockchain. |

Does anyone know how to create a bootstrap.dat. I received one sometime ago that gets me about half way thru the blockchain quickly. Twice my pnd wallet wont start without an error and i've had to reinstall the wallet and download the blockchain. Takes forever. I'd like to make a more current bootstrap.dat in case it happens again.

I did find out the deal with the hybrid mode is that during verify when you are behind also receiving blocks you can have that bug, one trick is to disable the network for the verify step; however I recommend classic mode for now if you are having trouble. once it gets that blkindex.dat error, unfortunately you have to delete everything except wallet.dat in your Pandacoin data folder (%appdata%/Pandacoin) folder to try again. Then when you try again switch to classic right away then exit, download and place https://bchain.info/PND/bootstrap.dat in the same place as wallet.dat and restart your PandaBank to speed things up some. Hope this helps some, you may or may not need a Pandacoin.conf file with good nodes (cut and paste example lines below into a plain text Pandacoin.conf file) so it is a good idea to make one and place it in your Pandacoin data folder also prior to starting Pandabank. I lost a computer with my pandacoin wallet on it. I backed it up a couple days prior to losing it. I downloaded and installed v3.0.2 but when I run it it just sits displaying "searching for peers" if I close it and rerun it has error loading something (I think it was block data.) I tried installing and replacing the wallet.dat with my backup but after that i got the error loading and it wouldnt start. Any help?
Created pandacoin.conf with the ip list in prior posting and still getting "error loading blkindex.dat

I have wallet version 1.17.0.0 on windows 7. I bought coins on 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/22, 4/30.
coins minted and showed up in my wallet for:
3/20 group on 4/10
3/27 group on 4/16
4/3 group on 4/23
expecting minted coins from the 4/10 group any time now.
So it looks like every 20 days or so. But my wallet always says “stake: 0″ Do I need to do something to make sure all coins are staking?
When I hover over the minting? symbol on the lower right it displays, “Not minting because you don’t have mature coins.” It changes to how long until minting happens (time varies every few minutes) for a short while before coins show up. Is this normal?
Does minting take place 20 days after coins are added to the wallet or do I need to do something to make sure? Also do the newly minted coins get added to the group of coins that minted them and mint more as a larger group 20 days later and keep repeating this cycle?
What do I need to do to make sure all my coins, old or new are staking?
Is there a way to reset the clock so groups of coins mint together?
The minted coins for the 4/10 group showed up and for maybe an hour the wallet showed a qty of coins next to Stake: equal to the 4/10 group plus the coins minted from the 4/10 group. I guess this means in 20 days coins will be minted from the new total?
Yes that is normal. When coins enter your wallet, they need to wait 20 days before they become mature. Once they become mature, then they become eligible for staking. When they start staking (minting), then you will see your "Balance" drop, and the "Stake" rise. Once they are successful at staking, you will see transactions come in, and they will be unconfirmed until after 50 confirmations, then your "Balance" will rise again, and the "Stake" will drop. When your coins stake, the new coins are added into the same address that it came from. So then next month, you will have your coins stake again, plus the new coins you minted, will also start staking. If you want to consolidate, then you should move all of your coins into 1 address as one lump sum, then they will be sure to stake the fastest as soon as 20 days is past. After they stake, they have to wait 20 days again to become mature again. If a block mints less than 30 days of being created , then it splits in half. If a block mints after 30 days of being created, then only 1 new block is created with the original amount and the interest combined. Hope that helps! So I don't need to do anything with the wallet? Just leave it as is and all the coins will stake? |

How large a stake before returns are more likely? Is it random, luck? I just want to understand how these work. Thought trying it would be best and hate to just give up on it.

I bought some blackcoin and started staking. The wallet keeps switching from I should get a reward in 2 or 3 days. It's been over a week and nothing. I don't get it. 1 percent isn't very impressive but I was wondering how it is or if it is compounded. Now I'm wondering if it exists at all. Can anybody explain how blackcoin staking pays out?
With nxt I leased my balance to a forging pool and the return so far is nxt to nothing. Anybody know how or if this 1 percent is compounded?
Do all pos coins payout only if your lucky? I don't get it.
