First of all, good work devs and I wish you all the best with your project. I have a few suggestions, based on my experience with MCZ since the very beginning. This is meant as constructive criticism  Some points are probably also suggested by other earlier in the thread. 1. Get rid of the timer. Why limit both time and coins per day? It makes it unnecessary complicated, and in addition the timer does not work. Why not leave the app to generate/"mine" coins as long as it is running, just like before? 2. Make it interesting to take part in the project again. In other words, make it easy and make it possible to earn something. Due to problems with the app and the timer this is currently not the case. I would suggest a similar function as you had before. Make it possible to accumulate coins that can be generated. This can be set to expire after say 7 days, so its only the "leftover" coins the last days that contribute to the cap. This will make going on a long run/bike ride of say 5-6 hours worth it. If it is not possible to generate actual value, it won't be used. I'm not gonna bother with MCZ if I workout 5 hours and made 40 USD cents equivalent in MCZ (which is currently not even possible), and I doubt a lot of people will. 3. Sort out and communicate how value will be generated in the future. There was a cap before I think of 16M something. User expect a similar monetary reward, say in USD or BTC, for the same work. How will this work if you get a lot of users? How can you promote positive price / market cap gain? 4. Get the app working BEFORE you do any more promotion or referral campaign. As is it is now, I doubt anyone would stick with it, unfortunately. 5. Make the algorithm that decides rate of generated coins depend on both phone movement and rough distance travelled (using location, from cell towers should be enough to keep battery use low). 6. Find a good strategy to avoid people gaming the system (tumble drying a farm of phones, emulators etc). 7. Don't associate yourself with other cryptos. It's clearly not the same and functions is a widely different manner, and you will receive a lot of criticism for it. |

Thank you very much for pointing me to the tutorial!
i downloaded the wallet with Chrome. The problem is that the client does not load fully. The BTCD wallet icon shortly appears in the dock and then closes automatically. For that reason, there have not been created any system files.
Here is the crash report.
My guess is that the wallet is not compiled to work on os x 10.7. Many other coins' wallets have the same issue for 10.7 |

Unfortunately it looks like someone found an exploit. If you look at the limited block explorer, which I did twice in the last days, you'll see a lot of users syncing 7 coins (max limit). I also saw tons of users sending 138 or 139 coins to the same user a couple of days ago. Its probably this user who is now dumping the coins. I didn't take a note of the user names, but for the devs who has full access to the transactions it should be very easy to check this. Could perhaps the devs also provide us with a plot of how many coins have been "mined" over time? I wouldn't be too surprised if there is a sudden jump some where. My guess is someone is running VM's and faking accelerometer, or found an even more efficient exploit. If I'm right, and the devs don't act on this quickly, this is probably the end of MCZ edit: "end of MCZ" was a bit dramatic But I would make this less exploitable |

Nifty?  it's completely rewriting a big part of the code and improving it in every aspect but great improvements take time to develop but you know: we deliver  If Bitcoin would implement this properly you could sync the full wallet in 2-3 hours (depending on your internet speed) Oh my! What new things will bring the next release to the coin ?
Why don't you take a guess? Can't wait for the new release! Hope it's even more good stuff promoting widespread adoption. What I would love to see in the future are linked wallets, so that I can easily get PND from my main account to the my phone wallet account |

Are the pools working correctly at the moment? Payouts seem low/missing. Also the stats on the website, for sure the number of blocks since payment, are wrong?  |

The community should be seeing our marketing efforts come into play and witness the effects of community growth first hand before the month is over. We'll be following a strict marketing plan to build platforms to acquire newcomers from inside and outside of the cryptoworld and expose them to Pandacoin (PND).

Just some praise guys. I'm amazed by the work put into and the quality of the new wallets, pandabank and the android wallet. Keep it up, and the word of PND will spread wide and far slowly but steadily!

I want to make a statement for the record to address both the individuals who wish to provide negativity within this forum and to those who are naysaying those who are providing said negativity.
If there is a constructive piece of criticism you have--something perhaps that you think Pandacoin is not doing quite correctly, or something that we ought to be doing that we aren't-- please provide it, and support your statement as well as you can with logic and reason, and we will all engage in a reasoned and intelligent discussion with you. In fact, we may even come to the decision that you are correct, and adopt some of your ideas.
However, if your intention is to merely provide something along the lines of "This coin will fail" or "Enjoy the dump" without any kind of discussion or constructive criticism, there's absolutely nothing to be said to you, for you provide nothing substantive, and merely exist here to harm the individuals in this community.
Tl;DR: If you have criticism, provide it with argumentation and logic. If you don't, you won't get a kind reception if you merely FUD.

Before I go into this, just know that I'm in PND with 275m coins.
It's great that you're all so into PND the way you are, but you can't stick your heads in the sand. Lesser known alt's are constantly played, run up and then plowed and PND may be no different. Just because the devs may be great, which seems to be the case, and there are cool new features coming out, which seems to be the case, doesn't mean that the price won't tank after the official announcement.
Consider that the price has gone nuts in the last couple weeks based purely on hype and expectations of future news. What coin can anyone name had that happen and the price DIDN'T balance out at or below prehype levels? I'd bet none. Also consider the price you're seeing now is likely already factoring in the news, meaning it might not go up when the news is released because the price already reflects that. In fact it might go down because nervous investors will see the price not going up and start selling off, triggering a drop out, or it might be a race to see which dumper can get their cut first. They don't say buy on the rumor, sell on the news for no reason.
Point is don't blindly dismiss any criticisms or concerns because "PND to the moon". We didn't get to the actual Moon by closing our eyes and hoping for the best.
You are very reasonable reasonman. My eyes are on PND as I think they are a promising long term coin (friendly community, active devs), and that the upcoming news/features will help develop crypto further. I'm sure price will go up and down several times the next weeks and months, but for me it's the long term that matters |
