22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blocks are still taking way too long. on: October 20, 2014, 12:50:52 PM
Over 30 minutes for a single confirmation does not (and will not ever) work in the real world.
(Almost) Every time I start to believe that BTC is "going mainstream", I have a delay waiting for a 30+ minute block....  Shocked

Gavin should just fork Bitcoin and fix this problem. That's what Satoshi would have done by now.  Smiley

I don't think so. Satoshi was the one who specified the 10 minute target per block.

Yes. The block target interval was suitable then. But let's face it, Bitcoin is a different beast now.  Smiley

It is still the same beast. Only older, very unstable and predictable.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If all block chain copies get deleted, what would happen? on: October 20, 2014, 12:44:10 PM
Well, simple. Bitcoin is gone forever if block chain get deleted... but is it even possible?

So if that happens, where can we get help so that we can get our btc back?
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dumb Question..... on: October 20, 2014, 12:37:37 PM
You must back up your wallet. You can import it on multibit wallet if blockchain ceases to exist or have some service interruption.

What if I did not backed up my wallet? What if that BTC is gone, where can I go or who can I contact?

BitCoin is good but it is not totally anonymous.

How can you say that? Maybe the best factor for me about BTC is the concept of anonymity. I got interested in it because of that. Why can you say that btc is not at all anonymous?
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Artwork sold for 35 BTC in Inside Bitcoins Tel Aviv on: October 20, 2014, 11:46:15 AM
35 BTC is an exaggerated amount for a not so well known artist. But bitmain has a lot of BTC. Maybe made the purchase to create news/ruckus to the bitcoin world. Therefore free advertising from 35BTC painting.
