21  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: September 04, 2015, 05:37:02 PM
Brilliant idea!
I registered and deposited, now just waiting for players...
The interface is simple but nice and the free version is working well.
Only problem you may have could come from colluding players (if only 5 or 6 players form a team, it will be hard for most others to survive). Are you at least checking the IPs, so that several players with the same IP don't play on the same game?

I guess the menu problem happens mostly on mobile/tablet. We'll have a look and try to fix this!
24  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] crypto.rodeo, a community-based service for crypto products and services on: March 30, 2015, 02:20:49 PM
Hi,

We have just launched crypto.rodeo, a collaborative website to discover, rank and announce new bitcoin, crypto-currencies and blockchain-based products and services.

It's free and anyone can submit any link, provided that the linked product/service is related to cryptos.
The idea is to create a "Product Hunt" for cryptos, with a rating allowing the best products/services to get more exposure...

Have a look and tell us what you think!

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRAILER][DIGI] a new coin for crowdtrading on: January 24, 2015, 01:56:56 PM
From the website: "A trial of 'Worldwide Internet Nasdaq' [...] The project (still beta) is probably the most advanced legal implementation on the world at this moment".

Loved it. Smiled. And stopped reading after that.

When will the stupidcoin/scamcoin/shitcoin era be over?

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ Poker Site ~ Anon Web Wallet ~Many Games ~5% PoS on: January 19, 2015, 02:42:57 PM
A lot of new features and announcements, cheers!

Just a detail: speaking of marketing, don't you think it would be a good thing to have a single, unique logo, for HYPER?

The logos used on Twitter, on the official HYPER websites, on the wallet, on Reddit or on several fan sites are all different. It may sound as a mere detail, but it's probably a source of confusion, as some people may think there are different currencies/projects with the same name...

Don't worry about the FUD. Keep on with your plans. You seem to have ambition, motivation and good, innovative ideas. Just try to show a bit more of your work, to convince people that your project is as promising as it seems to be. Good luck!

Thanks guys, we'll do our best.

@digit: Sure, we will cover Blackcoin! (I love it personally, and it has for sure a great potential). We plan to treat about 30-35 coins at first (they are listed in the Links section).
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] Crypto.direct, news service on Altcoins on: January 03, 2015, 12:16:03 PM
Hi all,

We've just launched a new Web-magazine devoted to Bitcoin and Altcoins: http://crypto.direct.

Crypto.direct intends to provide simple, short and factual daily news on crypto-currencies, focusing on usage and targeting a global audience.

We will not talk much about mining, algos, trading or financial profits, but rather let people know what they can actually do with cryptos, and help them understand the benefits of using crypto-currencies.

You can read more about this project here: http://crypto.direct/about/ or in our FAQ: http://crypto.direct/faq/

Comments, critics, advices are welcome! The site is still young, so please be indulgent...

Hi, i have a small chart about the payout of three diferennt cloud mining bussines

i think it can help people, i´m updating this everyday and if someone have other payout data it will be interesting to add more Cloud mining providers

watamby.ovh

Sounds interesting, but you need to add more info, especially what kind of contracts you're using (not necessarily the same profits with different contracts on the same service) and how you define "net profit" (i'm not sure everybody has the same definition).

37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing faith on: November 23, 2014, 10:58:52 AM
If bitcoin is to be money, it has to be spend on buying stuff that is actually useful to people.  Next week, next year, 10 years from now, it doesn't matter.  But it has to be spend buying stuff.

Totally agree.
It's strange to see people complaining every day about the rise and fall of BTC against $, which comes from speculation, while treating Bitcoin only as a speculative tool... Are you paying the same attention to the price of $ against € or £ or any other currency? Probably not, and the reason is that you don't care: you're just using your dollars every day, to buy stuff and live.

The most important thing about Bitcoin's future is not its value in fiat, it's its adoption. We should not be concerned about whether BTC will be worth $100 or $10,000. We should worry about the possibility that one day, 10,000,000 merchants worldwide accept Bitcoin, (instead of 100,000 now). When Bitcoin is accepted pretty much everywhere, nobody will care much about its value against USD.

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I be doing? on: November 17, 2014, 10:29:32 AM

I am fairly new to cryptocurrencies and I do not know much about how mining works.

If anyone can suggest altcoins and how to get started I would appreciate it. =)

1. Stay away from mining.
2. Read, read, read (https://altcoinherald.com, http://www.coinssource.com, https://www.coingecko.com or others).
3. Don't listen to people whose only goal is to make a short term profit. Crypto-currencies are not (or should not be) about buying/mining shit coins that everybody knows will be dead in 3 months. Cryptos intend to change the way we use our money, the way we use the Internet, and the way we share things between people, without unnecessary intermediaries.
4. Find a few Altcoins you like and feel attracted by. Altcoins that you would really use, because they seem to solve a problem you have, or at least would simplify your life if they succeeded.
5. Download their wallet, try to get some free coins with faucets, or buy a few coins with small investment (<$100) on an exchange. Follow these Altcoins through social medias and community tools. See what happens and understand how it works.
6. Get back here in a few months ;-)
