21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BRK] Breakout Chain | BRK Sale Raised 851 BTC! | Multicurrencies + Free Poker on: July 10, 2016, 07:45:05 AM
Has there been an announcement that all coins left after ICO that were not purchased were provably destroyed? Also have the Devs set a date for when the held BRX will be released for sale?

Also are the 6,627,494 BRX held in reserve for the second sale currently staking or are they cold?

Anybody know?

These coins will not be staked except by buyers in a coin sale. Period.

brk coin scam
because his value trade from 1 btc to 0.0001400btc

At the end of the sale, 1 BTC was the price of a "share", which got you 4500 BRK.

When I start the App, there is a hint to upgrade to the latest Version. So I downloaded latest (from OP Link), but the hint still shows up at Start. What number is latest Version?

1.4.0.0

So where can I get it? Opening Post still links to 1.3.7

There are two Links, one is outdated...

I missed the links to earlier versions in updating the OP. Those have been fixed and updated to the newest which is 1.4.1.0.

Version 1.4.1.0 is a significant stability improvement over earlier versions. Please update to 1.4.1.0 for a better experience.

simply use logic,if it is BRK I am sure thousands of people who play poker there

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1509819.msg15185978#msg15185978

but there are practice chips and main chips ....both worthless ...dosent seem logical to me

What can I do with my chips at Breakoutpoker.net?

This post aims to clear any confusion about the various balances and use of our free-to-play poker site Breakoutpoker.net. When playing at Breakoutpoker.net, you will see various balances.  In the Poker Lobby next to the "Cashier" button you will see:

and if you open the Cashier you will see:

Many people have asked what you can do with your brchips, bonus points, pokerpoints, rewardpoints, and practice chips.  The answer is fairly straightforward, you can use your brchips to enter special tournaments that award BRK, the rest is unused and will never be converted to real money, BRK, or anything else.  This poker software is a mirror of a real money site with a lot of extra functionality that does not apply to free poker.

When a separate real money platform is launched with a different url, these features may be utilized. However Breakoutpoker.net will remain free to play and all contests awarding prizes including BRK will always be free to enter.  If you ever run out of brchips to enter these contests, then email support@breakoutpoker.net for a free reload.

How to win real BRK

You can win real BRK at Breakoutpoker.net!  Real BRK are the crypto coins on the Breakout Chain that can be withdrawn into your wallet and traded on Bittrex exchange.  This is different than the brchips whose balance is shown in your Breakoutpoker.net cashier.  When you win BRK, we will keep a separate tally of the BRK coins that you have won off site at brk.breakoutpoker.net.

The names of the current tournaments that award BRK coins are below.

BRK Coin Tournament
BRK Facebook 1K Freeroll
BRK Twitter 1K Freeroll
BRK Coin Holders 1K BRK Freeroll

You can view your cumulative balance of BRK won by visiting brk.breakoutpoker.net.  You will also be able to see payout structure, and tournament schedule.

Your BRK balance will be updated on a regular basis and payouts will begin on Monday August 1st, 2016 and every Monday thereafter. You will be able to withdraw your BRK into your wallet at this time or trade them at Bittrex exchange. If you live in an area where it is legal to play poker for real money, you will be able to use your BRK to play on our real money site to make even more BRK.  You will also be able to use your BRK to play on our eSports site BreakoutPVP.com that will launch in July or buy digital downloads of video games at our Breakout Game Store.

Please visit http://breakoutpoker.net/en/promotions/WIN-A-MILLION- for more info.

Special tournaments like the BRK Bittrex Bounty Tourney that award BRK will be added to your balances and paid on the same date.  Special prizes like cards from the Deck may be paid immediately.

What was the three day lag period between the end of the crowdfund and the opening of active trading? Did I miss something? (honest question, Im a noob).  Is BRK on any exchanges besides Bittrex?

The lag period between the end of the crowdfund and the opening of active trading was about three hours, not three days.

BreakoutCoin, we (developers) need a source code of wallet! We can't do anything without daemon version or source code at github!

Sources will be available in about 3 weeks.

So does the coin hit the exchange right after the ico?

The only delay will be relating to any technical work for Bittrex to switch over to a trading market. It may not be immediate. Bittrex will know the answer to this question better than we  will.

Don't get too focused on BRX. You should do the math.
If you would buy 1000 BRX for the same price as BRK you would need 20 Jears of staking to get 1000 BRK out of it (based on the 5% inflation p.a. statement).
Instead you could've bought BRK and you have them immediately.

So sure if you're planing a VERY long time investment, BRX could be worth it. Otherwise just take them as an additional goodie for the early investors.

It's fixed rate . it's 5% total increase for the first year , which each year as the total supply increases will get gradually smaller.

Block reward is fixed to about 10 coins each block you mine . so if you stake 1 coin or 10000 coins when you hit a block you will receive about 10 coins for each block you hit .  so you got the math wayyyyyy off

It's a true 5% interest rate where the block reward is based on the existing money supply. As the money supply grows so does the block reward.

Even if not all BRX is staking, the money supply still increases by 5%, compounded every time there is a PoW block. It's likely that most stakers will see better than 5% because not everyone stakes.

Hi can anyone share any information on the following statement in the OP:

. This breakdown does not include private sales and early buyer bonuses.

I am not trying to spread FUD I am a little cautious investing in something like this when people will be able to dump at a much lower price than the final ICO. It would end up like vox that is 10 times less than the ICO price. This had people dumping mush less than ICO and was really unfair to the point of scam in my opinion.

I hope this isnt the case so would really appreciate if these private sales were detailed somewhere to ensure this isnt going to turn into a dump contest.

If any of that is cleared up I will add a little more to the pot. If not I will stick with my 0.5 BTC

Great question. The way we worded it does indeed look horrible, except for where we state "Over 500,000 BRK & BRX were purchased through alternate channels at 5000 BRK & BRX / BTC".

There were two private sales that account for the coins that are not represented at http://chain.breakoutcoin.com/balances/

Both private sales were at the highest price of the original ICO. They are not included on that page simply because they did not go through the bitcoin address linked to the main coinsale page.

I wrote a script to calculate balances for the distribution that would happen after genesis block and wrote the log file as HTML so that first sale buyers could check their balances.

Because the private buys came very late in the first sale, any private buyer paid the highest price of anyone in the first sale.

How to know how many BRK I will earn (daily or yearly) by staking for example 1k BRX ?

Block reward is a fixed amount , so it's a specific number you will get each block you hit , i think its something like 10 coins per block reward .

Only real way to get info would be to stake but since staking hasn't begun properly yet it's hard to get accurate numbers .

A semi accurate estimation would be to figure out how many BRX total will be staking , how big your stack sizes you choose , then figure out the 5% POS average for the year on BRK coins created .

I think if none of the BRX coins are sold in this IPO they will be held in bittrex cold storage not being staked (can dev's confirm for sure) so staking for the first few months + will be more than double when all coins are in circulation

All unsold BRX will be held in escrow by bittrex after the sale and will not be staked.
