What can I do with my chips at Breakoutpoker.net?

This post aims to clear any confusion about the various balances and use of our free-to-play poker site Breakoutpoker.net. When playing at Breakoutpoker.net, you will see various balances.  In the Poker Lobby next to the "Cashier" button you will see:

Many people have asked what you can do with your brchips, bonus points, pokerpoints, rewardpoints, and practice chips.  The answer is fairly straightforward, you can use your brchips to enter special tournaments that award BRK, the rest is unused and will never be converted to real money, BRK, or anything else.  This poker software is a mirror of a real money site with a lot of extra functionality that does not apply to free poker.

When a separate real money platform is launched with a different url, these features may be utilized. However Breakoutpoker.net will remain free to play and all contests awarding prizes including BRK will always be free to enter.  If you ever run out of brchips to enter these contests, then email support@breakoutpoker.net for a free reload.

How to win real BRK

You can win real BRK at Breakoutpoker.net!  Real BRK are the crypto coins on the Breakout Chain that can be withdrawn into your wallet and traded on Bittrex exchange.  This is different than the brchips whose balance is shown in your Breakoutpoker.net cashier.  When you win BRK, we will keep a separate tally of the BRK coins that you have won off site at brk.breakoutpoker.net.

Release 1.4.0.0 (Protocol 61007)

Please upgrade to the newest release, v1.4.0.0, as soon as possible.

This release has protocol changes that influence money supply calculations and fee scavenging and is therefore mandatory.

Users, and especially miners, need to upgrade before protocol changes kick in, which begin at Fri Jul  8 12:00:00 noon 2016 PDT.

This release also includes minor fixes to the client alert system.

The only delay will be relating to any technical work for Bittrex to switch over to a trading market. It may not be immediate. Bittrex will know the answer to this question better than we  will.

It's a true 5% interest rate where the block reward is based on the existing money supply. As the money supply grows so does the block reward.

Even if not all BRX is staking, the money supply still increases by 5%, compounded every time there is a PoW block. It's likely that most stakers will see better than 5% because not everyone stakes.

Great question. The way we worded it does indeed look horrible, except for where we state "Over 500,000 BRK & BRX were purchased through alternate channels at 5000 BRK & BRX / BTC".

There were two private sales that account for the coins that are not represented at http://chain.breakoutcoin.com/balances/

Both private sales were at the highest price of the original ICO. They are not included on that page simply because they did not go through the bitcoin address linked to the main coinsale page.

I wrote a script to calculate balances for the distribution that would happen after genesis block and wrote the log file as HTML so that first sale buyers could check their balances.

Because the private buys came very late in the first sale, any private buyer paid the highest price of anyone in the first sale.

All unsold BRX will be held in escrow by bittrex after the sale and will not be staked.
