22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: XCurrency (XC) BlockNet community thread on: October 22, 2014, 12:37:18 AM
It does work, and its not open source for several reasons, including the fact it is the most advanced mixer technology on the marketplace and would be cloned immediately...

Please dont call it the "most advanced mixer technology" when its closed source. If you want that title, open source it, have it scrutinized and present your case to the community.

Its claims like this that make investors run away.

Here's a great example.  Maybe you have the most advanced mixer WHO the hell KNOWS?  And how do you think you can make that claim?

I'm sure this will be deleted in the main thread ... it's like saying "I have the hottest wife in the world but you can't see her"

Everybody thinks *yeah right*

how is this XC community thread you dumb ass? this is YOUR thread...

maybe he wants MORE than just a f**** circlejerk?

probably too much to ask from 95% of the people in XC.

My advice (FWIW) - if you own a lot of XC send Dan a date you'll be dumping if it isn't open sourced.  Because honestly if it isn't open sourced soon - & I mean REALLY soon.  It will fall (in my opinion) far enough that it won't recover.  The charts to me look like a slow bleed of the devteam / long time holders while trying extremely hard to keep some buying pressure by pumping with "releases" where no one can actually tell (from the code) what has been done.

Effective way to bleed the market out of as much btc as possible i suppose.

Are the blocknet guys ignorant of the facts, or are they being intentionally misleading?

Look.  I think the SuperNET is borderline scammish and un needed.  But if SuperNET is scammish/scammy then BlockNET is a full blown scam.

Notice your thread isn't self moderated?  Notice they are pretty much stealing the idea of SuperNET and re-branding to raise money when their chat doesn't even work & they can't keep up with releasing to Mac & Linux clients (even though they sell a Linux stick?)

They are desperate for more money and tired of doing coin reviews to pump other coins.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Blocknet guaranteed 450% return on: October 21, 2014, 05:53:29 PM

Closed source anon coin (yeah ... let that one sink in) who can't get their chat figured out.  All new releases go to windows even though they also sell tor sticks.

Decided they need a new revenue source.

Good news - PROMISED RETURNS of AT LEAST 450% cuz intrinsic value.

Closed sourced I'm sure ...  Roll Eyes

But hey - feel free to jack off to this video in the meantime

moving over 200,000 BTC to prove his point back in mid 2011. He is also well known to be in the top of all LTC holders. So I do not think any of it is financially motivated.

holy f***** shit
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 18, 2014, 03:41:53 PM
10 % decline in a short term is too much when you consider it should be a store of value.
Monero needs more traders to absorb the dumps, but on the other hand, feed the buyers in pumps.

10% rise or drop is normal for altcoins.

It's obvious you haven't been involved in many alts if this price drop is a big deal.

That was a lot of good information.  So basically this guy has basically been the reaper for many a coin, but usually via raw power.  He hasn't said he was going to attack XMR (the exact opposite).  The worrisome thing is that he said he found an exploit in CN.  I am wondering if what he really means is "somebody showed him a fatal flaw".  The XMR trolls have pissed a lot of people off.  I can imagine another developer knows about a flaw and just hasn't done much but is considering it now.  Also, if somebody knew about a flaw and wanted to kill a coin but didn't have the resources themselves, then BCX is hands down the most obvious choice to contact.  He has destroyed so many coins; he apparently kind of likes it.  Even if I am wrong about this theory, I think there is something to what he is saying about flaws in the code.  He has a pretty bad ass reputation and apparently a high ego.  I am sure he would hate to get shamed and be wrong.

I'm still digging... there was a lot to go over and BCX has deleted a lot of his posts, most of which contain evidence I would assume.

Apparently he has also repeatedly used the time travel exploit. What kind of difficulty adjustment algo does Monero use??? As I think that is how the time travel exploit is utilized.

It is possible I guess someone tipped him off to an exploit in CN. It would be interesting checking other CN's Githubs for recent commits.. maybe in this case, the one that is in the know would have fixed the exploit recently.

Isn't there a forum that duplicates everything from here so it's documented even if deleted?

I have always been skeptical when he makes such claims, especially seeing as though nothing ever comes of them.
Does no one remember AUR? That shit was fireworks. Don't poke the dragon!

CoinHoarder would love to see him take down Monero ... the ones poking the dragon have a reason  Roll Eyes

From what I can tell the cryptonote devs are treating him with more respect than the AUR devs did ... so who knows.

lol o.0

If you want PoS - why would you buy something another dev who is building his own PoS anon coin reviewed?

Stupidest thing in the world.

Anybody curious about board members of cryptonote?
https://cryptonotefoundation.org/
Should be announced this month, anybody care to speculate?

That used to say August, so they've already pushed it back once.

They say it's going to be announced today

Removing liquidity from the open market by opening a closed market is a terrible idea for a fledging coin.
