Yeah, snapshot should be taken right? first block of the 26th in UTC has been mined 10 minutes ago
https://blockchain.info/block/00000000000000000159c6d590497c65281934c9b3d530c5fb812f1beb96d15a

Where does it say the first block mined? I didn't see that anywhere...
22  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDICE.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Monero ★ 0.5% Edge ★ Fast Cashout ★ Since 2014 on: June 24, 2017, 04:34:33 AM
SafeDice are getting DDoSed again. I can't login and can't pass the home page.

This is unacceptable. Nowadays there are DDoS protected providers at decent price. Safedice could have one of the lowest edge but this doesn;t compensate the lack of support and maintenance! You should do something or all of your players will find a more better supported alternative. Like me, lately playing mainly at duckdice and yolodice.

Site is back up now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you Juicey ...

Again I deeply apologize for any inconvenience caused by this ...

We used to have frequent DDoS attack few months ago, then we used a DDoS protection and it solved the problem for few months. In some cases these DDoS attack isn't so simple that DDoS protection does not work well , especially when I'm not online to change the security level.

I'm currently working on this issue , and for the time being I'll continuously monitoring the server and adjust the protection level accordingly. The side effect of this is that you may need to enter captcha frequently. Please expect this to happen once in a while in the next few days.

Thanks for the update - hope it gets solved soon!

about yolodice, so you are using 10x kelly. Does this mean if yolodice loses 10% of its bankroll you lose all of your investment or how does this work. Sounds very risky if that is the case. I noticed 94% of investors there use 10x kelly, does this change things. Do you use 2x leverage on safedice?

I do use 10x and it is definitely on the risky side. However they share 80% of the House Edge with investors and the HE is 1% so that helps a lot!

I also use 2x on SafeDice.

What was the maximum loss you had at SafeDice with 2x leverage?

Seems a bit risky as their house edge is too small.

Look at the chart. It is bumpier than Crypto-Games but it is doing the best out of all of them!

How can you sell blackbytes and do they go for the same rate?

You can sell them on the appropriate Slack channel. They go for about 1/40th - 1/50th of regular GB's.

Thanks! I saw this and assumed it was around that number: https://byteball.co/

Looks like most of the whales have not moved their coins yet
Whales might afraid to move coz the market volume is very low. I mean if a whale will decide to sell now or when bytes come, the price will drop dramatically and there is no guaranty that it will recover later. So it's a question of time when some of them will dump.

I mean I was just checking there wallet addresses here: http://transition.byteball.org/

Not many people are moving their bitcoins

wondering if snapshot is done, if so at which block...
Dev said in slack that it was done at 470514 block.
"tonych Today at 4:29 PM
block 470514 mined, it will likely be the snapshot block (unless there are reorgs)"
And yes, now u can move both BTC and GByte and will still participate in distribution.

Looks like most of the whales have not moved their coins yet
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 04:03:40 PM
It's a snapshot mechanism. You may now withdraw your BTC and still receive your Byteball.

Everyone calm down.

100% we can withdraw?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 02:36:57 PM
Ok so the 'snapshot' happened, right? Meaning they are basing everything off of the block that happened at 9:10am EST (13:10 UTC) and I can move my bitcoins if I so choose? Right?

I would wait! Better safe than sorry!
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: KINGDICE.COM - Bitcoin Dice & Invest in bankroll on: June 09, 2017, 01:48:14 PM
That is very sad. If you or Alexander ever change your mind, we will welcome you again in KingDice.com!
You want so cheap to pay off, it does not work.

You must be ashamed.

The joys of a public forum  Shocked

KingDice should set up an account on www.steemit.com. A lot of people are moving there now!
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 09, 2017, 01:31:27 PM
they already  did ........there is one account with circa 54k btc in it ...... Roll Eyes

Is that really fair then? Or is there a way to increase the equal distribution or just go with it and forget about it?

It aint no communist coin

There needs to be a countdown time before the drop  Cool

Alright and I am on board with my wallet linked Smiley

How long does it take to distribute it all this round?
34  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDICE.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Monero ★ 0.5% Edge ★ Fast Cashout ★ Since 2014 on: June 07, 2017, 04:32:36 PM
SafeDice still going strong in my opinion. No other site offering 0.5% HE that is trustworthy.

Is there a SafeDice version 2 coming out!?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 07, 2017, 02:17:57 PM
Are there any other coins like byteball that you get coins based on your Bitcoin holdings?

Looking at the list, I will pick Byteball, it is possible Poloniex has accumulate alot of free bytes by linking addresses with the chain. Polo won't do anything unless there is something in it for them

OMG I never thought about that, but that could definitely happen

38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why investing in the bank of a centralized cryptocurrency casino is a bad idea on: June 01, 2017, 03:21:32 PM
Because the author doesn't have a clue what he's talking about?

Laughable to call all crowdfunded gambling sites scams. When was the last time one scammed? Dice.ninja was the last major one.

All the more recent ones? If you get scammed by putting your money into a casino with no players and a 1 BTC bankroll you're going to have a bad time.
It's investing. Do research.

Just-dice returned ~56k btc (around $31 million iirc) to investors in 2014 after it closed. I returned 6k btc (around $5 million) to investors in December when I closed.

Bitdice has seen great returns for it's investors.

He doens't know the law at all.
FYI BetKing was operating legally from the UK without having on onlne licence. Pay a lawyer and follow the advice.
It's also not illegal to setup a company in Costa Rica and pay less tax.

I do agree with some of his points, particularly that licenses are scams.

But to just call all centralised casinos scams is stupid.

Decentralised online casinos will never be as popular as centralised ones. Great tech and great ideal sure but it won't work.

P.S. newbie account posting the link, assume it's the offer.

Also he's not a feared poker player, I've never heard of him Smiley
