It's good to see that we have -active nodes increasing 500-600 to 720 now ( http://nodes.digistats.info/) -many new members in this thread. (they're obviously welcome ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ) -and also more miners back @ theblocksfactory and elsewhere too i suppose. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Good time for Digibyte?

It looks to me that Digibyte will be the first to activate Segwit ?
Yes i think. I was just pointing out that their have a better communication on segwit activation process than we had. The answer is "no". https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1777136.0Sorry, we were talking about Litecoin and Digibyte so i understood :Will digibyte be the the first of both to activate Segwit ? The answer is "yes".

Let's pump dgb to 1000 sat today!
Do it ! Thatīs only a small investment for a guy but a giant leap for the whole DGB Community. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Only 2614 BTC is needed to reach 1000sat @polo ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Right now seems more like a little "dump time"

I'd like to remind everyone using an NON HD wallet (like i do) to backup the wallet.dat as soon as a new DGB address is created in it. Otherwise if your wallet.dat get corrupted, a fresh install & re-sync with an old wallet.dat will completely ignore the newest addresses and you won't recover the funds received with these addresses. New HD wallet doesn't have to be saved as often: one backup is enough, even the addresses created post backup will be recover by the old wallet.dat which contain the original seed. Edit: I'm sorry, i was absolutely wrong when i wrote those words. My truly apologies for that. I've misunderstood what a HD wallet is, and also how a classic wallet works. I've made the test on an unencrypted core wallet updated to 6.14.2 containing an old wallet.dat (HD key generation disabled), and everything is ok : after re-sync, an old saved wallet.dat has received the funds sent to a new dgb-address created post backup. Anyway it's still recommended to backup your wallet.dat time to time ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

There's still nodes and peers using versions 4.0.3 and even 4.0.0 . Each digibyte core wallet owners should be warned when an update is available. Is that so difficult to implement such a thing in the core wallet ? I don't know very much about how digusign works, but could it be used in this purpose ? I mean each update could be signed to the blockchain with its proof of existence. So the core wallet get the message from the block-chain and inform the user.

![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F6RVJvfw.jpg&t=662&c=EJylap2PGkcP6Q) BTW, the stop loss on the 15 minute chart "extension" is 87 SAT. Crypto has a strong tendency to break these "red line" levels, technically breaking the trade, and then continuing after shaking people out (we see lots more of 76.4 level stuff in crypto - more indicative of speculative and emotional markets than stable markets). It's very common. With as healthy as I see DGB, I wouldn't be banking on too much of that on the longer term time frames - so don't hold your breath - but on the 15 minute, perhaps the odds are much better that those stops at 87 SAT get "run" . . . and that would be exactly what would take price down into 82 SAT where you'll get filled on the 2 hour time frame (longer term). ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Have fun learning, and good investing to you (because, when it's all said and done, I'm not suggesting you become traders, just that you become better long term investors by improving your entry points). Nice work. Thank you very much for taking the time to share with us your charts analyzes, trading knowledge and advices. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We should all value that.

Great, now even if I delete the old wallet and reinstall a new one, this one doesn't open at all... I'm totally lost. Note : I delete in roaming the folder with wallet.dat and reinstall an old one (5 days before today), wallet launchs again but it still unable to synchronize. I find again the same problem that at the beginning. I can suppose the new wallet.dat was the problem that explains I was unable to open the wallet window.
i'm not sure if there is a connection with your problem but i had this kind of things : Wallet core (4.0.0 & 4.0.3 x64 /win7) not launching. (Even the digibyte-4.0.3-win64-setup.exe) I've found out that the problem was because of my AV Avast. Try to disable your AV and your firewall if you have one, before launching the core wallet. Thx for your answer. I will try tomorrow, I'm too tired for now:) See you:) edit : unfortunately, I desactivate my Avira antivirus but nothing changed Ok, too bad. You should try a clean install on another computer if you have the opportunity. Test this fresh installed core wallet (opening, closing, let it sync until the end, etc). Close it and replace this new unused wallet.dat with a copy of your old wallet.dat. Re launch, wait... and test. (All fine ? All your DGB are here ? after few hours: sync ok ? etc) Then you may also delete (core wallet closed) all the files and sub-directories existing in the roaming directory. Except the 2 files: peers.dat and the wallet.dat. Relaunch and see if the core wallet resync from the beginning 'til the end (with your old wallet.dat). At least you'll be sure there's nothing wrong with your wallet.dat, and that problems are in the first computer. If all mentioned above works, then you could try to do the same in the first computer. Always keep safely backups of your "old" wallet.dat EDIT: By "old" i mean the latest working wallet.dat you've been using for your DGBs. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I think this was the best time to do a hardfork. Now the community is smaller, If we would have waited with the hardfork untill we had alot more users. I think then there would have been alot more wallet problems.
+1. I think the same. Besides, challengers have to take those kinds of risks. It may also draw more attention on DGB. My bags are bigger then ever.
The same here. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

OH Dear Jared is getting slated in the troll box on Poloinex...dont read it Jared ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Not good at all its being called a scam as well...maybe time to jump ship...dont want to be involved if the hate starts to set in yep, you're right. May be it's time for you to leave the boat... And dont worry, you wont be involved in anything. I've been on polo a lot today, I haven't seen any negative comments.. Most ppl just questioning where the dumps are coming from!?!?! Also, is there news tomorrow? or is it scheduled for next week? There isnt any news that was just bull crap to keep the dream alive...only news so far is the new fork messed up & all the suckers that bought DGB at 40-45 got done once again......If you were on polo most of the day then you would have seen username Victoria letting Rip, poor girl believed in DGB & lost 10BTC by selling lower than she paid for it......yet another DGB investor that lost confidence in this coin. You can call me a troll all you like all i am doing is pointing out the FACTS..NOT trolling at all, i am not telling anyone to dump or pump..is that not what troll are meant to do I've read Victoria posts @poloniex troll-box. The "poor girl" Victoria is not an investor: She is a trader. She lost 10 BTC because she cut too many times her positions, like a trader should always do when the trend doesn't go the expected direction. And you want us to "jump ship" just because of her disappointment (and yours) about Jared and DGB ? Now you speak about "bull crap" and "messed fork" and "suckers that bought DGB "... Well i don't know, but are these words facts, opinions or something else ? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

So ? And the winner is ... ? tadaaaa ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) We have drawn a winner. There are 2 reasons that we have not yet made the announcement. First, we wanted to make sure that our wallets were updated and everything was set with the recent fork to DigiSpeed. Second, I've had a busy week so I didn't get the contest winner info sent out. And, for the past 48 hours I've been working to re-create all my outgoing mail server info. As soon as we notify the winner in person, we'll make the announcement here. Thanks to all the members of the community who entered the contest. Our first contest (back in August) only had a handful of entries. With each new contest, we get more and more people entering, and more and more people joining the community. It's great to see. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Eric Thank you for the great work and your involvement. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) How many entries this month ?

Nobody can say that the transactions aren't fast !
@theblocksfactory.com you're running 4.0.3. And it seems that you have much less orphaned blocks than even before the hardfork! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) (on qubit, skein and groestl). May be i'm wrong. Can you confirm ? I confirm the diminution of orphan (yesterday vs today), but i don't know if I have less orphan than before the hard fork : Skein 9% -> 1.6 % Groestl 7%> 2.5% Scrypt 33% -> 10% Sha 9% -> 2% Qubit 8% -> 0.8% Ok thanks. Good news ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
