21  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 13, 2015, 11:03:45 PM
Cash is dirty and full of bacteria, bitcoin is digital clean and doesn't rot.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 13, 2015, 11:00:12 PM
if some one has little to no experience with investing they are better off contacting some who knows exactly how everything works.
investing is risky which means if you invest it in the wrong industry or wrong in a wrong way you might end up with a huge loss.

Both saving money in a bank and investing it are equally good and bad. Banking might seem more secure but you only lose in the long term because of the high inflation rate taking place. Additionally, investing in the wrong area is also bad. I'd rather invest than to save in a bank, and I'd rather invest in both gold and bitcoin.

I think somehow we all rely on banks for now because we do not know what to do of our lifelong savings. How can we put it all in a bitcoin wallet as it is more of an investment right now, if it falls, lifelong money will be lost and no one should take that risk, ever. Once it is adopted and used more like currency and considered less of an investment, I'd put all my money in my bitcoin wallet.

You have always gold, it fluctuates, but is less risky. And you have the fiat paper rectangles.

But bitcoin price are depends on fiat money? so that you can't say that bitcoin will replace fiat money. So we can used bitcoin or fiat money either of that still they have both risk.

Bitcoin does not depend on fiat money in any way. It is free market, private money with good money properties.

Its depend on fiat money, because buyers of bitcoins or users are depending on the price of bitcoin, they will used it, buy or sell bitcoin when they know if the price of bitcoin is high or low, So its means bitcoin is depending on fiat money.

There is some logic to what you say, because currently fiat money is more liquid than bitcoin, and you can therefore use fiat as an intemediate money type. But you talk as if bitcoin is unusable when there is no fiat money. On the contrary, when the argentinian peso dies, noone will want them, and bitcoin will shine.

Yep, argentine, greece, and other financially burdened countries need to switch to bitcoin asap. Its more liquid internationally, even if locally there arent more vendors.

The main problem is there is not enough supply. The GDP of a single small country like greece is about $280 billion, how can btc's less than 4 billion marketcap absorb all that new wealth?
23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: University Researchers: We Have To Accept People Who “Identify As Real Vampires” on: July 13, 2015, 10:57:27 PM
That's just ridiculous. Another stupid normalization of aberrant behaviour.
24  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The road to the End of Religion: How sex will kill God on: July 13, 2015, 10:56:29 PM
I like this idea, but when will we get rid of all sexually transmitted diseases? we may never see it during our lifetimes. It's a shame, because condon sex just sucks.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: The debt crisis explained very well. As a poker game :) on: July 13, 2015, 10:54:27 PM
This is indeed a poker game, and what are seeing now is a match that's being won by the troika, unless tsipras does an impossible move in less than 48 hours, and i dont think so.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats wrong with the blockchain right now? on: July 13, 2015, 10:53:20 PM
Wait for 30 confirmations? that will take a looooong time.

Use Bitcoin Core and you won't have to wait for 30 confirmations.

Whats wrong [...] ?

Some miners didn't verify the validity of blocks after the enforcement of the latest BIP. These miners then continued to mine on an invalid chain.

[...] how worried should we be ?

About 28.5% worried.

ya.ya.yo!

https://bitcoin.org/en/alert/2015-07-04-spv-mining

Miners generating invalid blocks. Wait for 30 confirmations? that will take a looooong time. Whats wrong and how worried should we be?

I think that was the blockchain split on the 4th of July, for more info refer to this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1108304.0

The blockchain has split like 6 times during this month already, andreas said so in a recent video.

Enrolled! Smiley

No, avatars are restricted to participants. Other than that no limits, atm.

No minimum amount unless those are not constructive/spam/insubstantial posts.

You say no minimum amount of posts, but it says in the OP that you need at least 20 posts to get paid :?
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: April 11, 2015, 10:57:52 PM
Buy one and be one a slave for twenty years. If you survive, you can then regret not buying more and retiring earlier.

How many would you say you say it's require to retire in 20 years then?
I also like the idea of having 21 Bitcoin, since only max 1 million people will have 21 Bitcoins, but given BTCs arent distributed evenly it will be even harder to be part of the almighty 21 Group.

the usual target is 100 with a price target of 10k, 100 bitcoin are not that hard to acquire, 10k value instead look almost impossible right now, but the future may hold a good surprise

1M should be enough for many, to retire

Lol 100 BTC are pretty hard to adquire... how are you going to adquire 100 BTC before price goes 10K or anything near it? because the higher the price goes, the harder it will become. It's a ticking clock.

you should have started before, or you can just buy them now(not all together, maybe 2-3 every month, 3 years = 100 btc), or another solution was, to join cointellect and scam their ponzi, with many account, adds to this signature and instamine(aurora coin, blackcoin, darkcoin) and 100 btc are easy to achieve
2-3 every month is a lot of money for most folk, let alone for 3 years. As the poster said, the price will keep going up. So in 3 years, the price should be way higher than what it is now. Let's say the price is back to 1200 per coin in 3 years. Who in hell is going to be able to buy 2-3 coins per month anymore?
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Support is holding, they said on: April 11, 2015, 10:47:19 PM
11/07/2014 They said the support was holding at $650, the bottom must be in! it could only go up after some side ways!
..
11/10/2014 They said the support was holding at $420, the bottom must be in! it could only go up after some side ways!
..
11/01/2015 They said the support was holding at $260, the bottom must be in! it could only go up after some side ways!
..
11/04/2015 They said the support is holding at $230, the bottom is in! it will only go up after some side ways!
..
11/07/2015 They will say the support is holding at $30, the bottom is in! it will only go up after some side ways!
..

Well they suck!

There is no bottom until $0 for bitcoin's final capitulation, Can't believe that they are still lying like this today!

Don't ever listen to bulltards again! They got you once you buy their sinking bitcoin ponzi coin bags!

You are creating several different accounts to FUD because deep down you know Bitcoin is going to rise sooner or later, so you couldn't confront the shame of all older posts, which leads to using different nicknames. Same old FUDster technique.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = $3.6 million 1990 USDs in future‽ on: April 11, 2015, 10:45:59 PM
Based upon the Gross World Product (GWP) and BTC's 21 million BTC controlled money supply, my prediction is that, once BTC becomes a truly global currency, it'll be worth 3.6 million 1990 USDs.

This is fallacious reasoning.

If bitcoin is ever worth even ten percent of the GDP, it will quickly explode to be worth the entire GDP.

If bitcoin is worth the entire GDP, there is no logical reason for it to stop there.  Humans are not rational creatures, and many variables and elements will cause the bitcoin universe to exceed the GDP by at least an order of magnitude.

Try $30 million dollars per bitcoin, in the end game.  Of course this figure is prone to collapse at any time, depending on world conditions, just like current markets are.

If Bitcoin becomes a global force to store value, it will have money flowin in from all kinds of sources: Fiats, metals, stocks, other cryptos... theorically it can sustain literally everything, the only problem is getting people to get with the program and realize we need a bigger block size.

Drugs are bad people  Undecided
Drugs aren't neither bad or good people, drugs aren't people.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if YOU could put 1 feature, change, whatever, into the Bitcoin protocol? on: April 11, 2015, 10:42:40 PM
How about a GUI for multisigs in the core wallet?
Right now you have to create them in the console and spend via rawtransactions, unless you want to use some 3rd party.
I would have thought about this: "Why is the Core Wallet so damn simple looking? it has no features". But I realized the core wallet is not really meant to use for mass adoption, it's meant to used for node runners, which basically means the more basic it is the better to do its job.
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: April 11, 2015, 10:41:20 PM
Another girl woman checking in! I am interested in the Bitcoin technicals, but a lot of it is outside of my understanding. I'm learning more and more every day!

The learning curve is steep at first. You'll soon become comfortable with most of the ideas and honestly some technical aspects can be safely ignored.
Yeah, people just should focus on how to use the wallets, thats all.. of course unless they want to really want to know how it works because they are curious about the mechanism, but usually no one is curious about how traditional banking works (thats why the scam has been working for ages).
35  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: April 07, 2015, 06:37:16 PM
I hope avatars are an optional part of the campaign. Glad to see Bit-x will be top paying again!

Yeah, I don't think many people will be happy about being forced to and it could lead to a lot of users leaving. I'd offer it as an additional bonus or extra.

Hi, im on Bitmixer right now, i love it because it has an automatic payment system and you don't need to re enroll which is incredibly annoying, but ti seems now you have automated the process too and your rates are better... my question is: Will the campaing keep going for a long time or can it stop at any time? I wouldn't like to join and lose my spot in Bitmixer one only to find out that after 1 or 2 months it gets closed or places get cut and I get kicked... another reason I like Bitmixer is because its very solid, it has been running non stop for a year or so. And just like jobs, consistency is better than a sightly higher salary with the risk of getting kicked at any time.

Also, what are the fees when you withdraw from Bit-x to your personal wallet?

thats all thanks

You can sign up to bitmixer anytime especially when you've previously signed up. Any campaign could stop at anytime due to unforeseen circumstances *including bitmixer or bit x) but you need to make your own mind up on what campaign to join. I'm sure Marco has the intention of the campaign running a long time but there are always others available and campaigns come and go all the time.

I tried to join Bitmixer not a long ago and spots where closed.. spots can close at any time and you couldn't rejoin.
36  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: April 07, 2015, 06:34:13 PM
Im new to the campaign. My question is if "the new campaign" will remain automated, and if we don't need to re-enroll and payments will be the same.
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here on: February 17, 2015, 02:14:56 AM
thanks guys. I think I will listen to LitecoinMyAss because he seems like someone I can trust.

I will make a wallet at blockkchains wallet. Lol they sound like a rapper. Why did they even choose that name?
Because its a chain made of blocks that cointain the transaction data.
2chainz!!!!!
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens in the aftermath of a Bitcoin funded terrorist attack? on: February 17, 2015, 02:10:43 AM
In things like this I agree with Bill Gates that we need more regulation. But we cant have everything I guess.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Time Travel Kill Bitcoin? on: February 17, 2015, 02:09:40 AM
Its physically impossible to go to the past. If it was possible we would have been visited already by future civilization that could go back.
40  Other / Off-topic / Re: The no ad-sigs posters allowed topic - come and not be annoyed by rubbish posts on: February 17, 2015, 01:53:15 AM
how do ad sig campaigns benefit the forum?

why not just force advertisers to buy ad space from the forum directly?
Well, as far as I know its the only legit way to get bitcoin since faucets are a waste of time. It's normal that some people shitpost a bit sometimes. The guys on sig campaigns are redistributing bitcoin to poor fellows. Specially if the guy is in a country like Indonesia or god knows where, these guys could be getting money way above minimum salary. So for me the sig campaign runners are doing god's work by letting people get small but decent amounts of bitcoin. Not everyone is a great coder or whatever that can offer profesional services in this very competitive world. And most people with regular jobs dont have the time to work part time to get bitcoin or risk their small salaries it.
