Are you on windows? Try this:

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/wiki/Drivers

Scroll down to the "OS/Custom CDC Driver".

You may have an easier time using MultiMiner as you only need to unzip it and it will detect miners and submit their statistics to MobileMiner.

I would but this is the computer that's going to be running my RockMiners, so CGMiner seems to be the only viable option to be running them at full speed.

So if I follow your chart right I can do ~450 GH/s at 240 watts with this? What firmware version do I need to be running?

Don't know if you'd be able to help or not since you're not the author of this script, but how do I run CGMinerMobileAdapter on Windows? I have no idea how to install it or run it. I have python installed, but can't figure out what to do with the install.sh file. When I run the python script directly a prompt window opens then immediately closes... can't tell what it does, because it's too quick.

What's the proper syntax for BFGMiner to clock a GridSeed five blade up to the correct speed? It should be set to 800 if I'm not mistaken to get 340KH/s. I'm only getting about 200KH/s so I'm assuming it defaults to a 600 setting?
26  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: cgmine showing hash speed but btc guild isnt on: December 28, 2014, 04:39:49 AM
i have 2 gridseed usb 5 chip miners and its not showing on website but is on cgminer thanks

I actually have the same problem on hamsterpool... seems to be a problem with either CGMiner or the GridSeeds.

I'm having a problem getting MultiMiner to detect my S3+. Not sure if it might be an issue with the WAMP stack I have on my computer (on localhost/127.0.0.1)?

I SSH'd into the S3 and modified what needed to be modified, but still not coming up.

'W:127.0.0.1,W:10.0.0.1/24'

and --api-network was changed to --api-allow $_aa

What is the IP of the MultiMiner PC and of the S3?

You can try adding the IP to NetworkDevicesConfiguration.xml (in %appdata%\MultiMiner) while MultiMiner is closed if the automatic scan isn't picking it up.

The MM Comp is 10.0.0.3 and the S3 is 10.0.0.99.

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Don't We See More Capital Raised in Bitcoins on: December 26, 2014, 06:33:15 AM
Also, a lot of people have mentioned that we need companies to pay their employees in BTC, and again we don't see much of this happening either. Again, where do most companies get their money to pay employees from? From investors. So, if they raised money originally in BTC, they'd be more inclined to pay employees in BTC.

Well technically speaking employees can't legally be paid purely in BTC, at least if they're hourly paid individuals. BTC is considered to be a commodity and as such wouldn't comply with the minimum wages laws should an hourly paid individual be paid entirely in BTC.

Issue was that I was using zero two in the CFLAGS Configure area instead of the letter O and two.

I can't for the life of me get this to work. Anytime I get to the "make" stage it gives the following error:

I've tried reinstalling GCC, different versions, etc. nothings working. I basically have a worthless gridseed. I've spent close to 10 hours just to get this to work, and another 15 hours on my RockMiner New RBox.

Did you look in config.log for more details? It should tell you exactly why it failed.

One thing that stands out for me is the CFLAGS -02 parameter (zero two). I think it should be -O2 (capital oh two).

Looks like you're right. CPUMiner compiled. Running into an issue with CGMiner though, ./autogen.sh appears to not exist in the ~/usb-miner/software/cgminer folder.

Pretty sure I got it, the only issue is it's running at 250KH/s thought it was supposed to be 340KH/s (could be freq thing, think it's set to 600). And second I'm connected to HamsterPool but I see no hashing information on the website.

This is what I'm seeing:

Why is it that Bitcoin companies take their seed, Series A/B, investment capital in USD? I hope we start seeing companies requiring bitcoins for raising capital.

Because the investment capital goes to things that currently can't be bought with BitCoin.

The idea is that the companies will be able to hold large amounts of BTC, and as they need to buy/pay for stuff in USD, they can cash out incrementally. The benefit of this is this could indirectly boost the Bitcoin economy, where companies would prefer to find merchants who'd accept BTC, so not to cash out large amounts all the time. Also, new merchants could see an opportunity in this and would want to accept BTC, since the spendable BTC supply is increased.

And be charged a fee for converting back to USD? So they get hit twice, once going into BTC and once converting back out.

Are there any pre-built linux distros of CGMiner with Gridseed support enable?

CGMiner doesn't support alt coin miners/ing.  Did you check in the alt coin forum for a fork that supports this device?

I can't find anything that supports it honestly. BFGMiner is supposed to but it can never detect it. Maybe somebody else will have better luck with it. Anybody want a GridSeed?

Anyway, I need CGMiner for a RockMiner New RBox too.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cg/Sgminer & ccMiner on: December 24, 2014, 09:52:57 AM
Don't get what you mean... the only thing that I see when I go through the New Miner menu is stuff about GPUs and setting up pools.

When I CGMiner run directly it says that I need to install drivers for the devices but they're already installed. It says I should be using WinUSB drivers. But if I do that then still nothing shows up in CGMiner (says incorrect drivers), and everything is no longer detected in MultiMiner, meaning at the very least BFGMiner doesn't like those drivers, so I would assume that CGMiner wouldn't either.

On the first post of this thread, scroll down, you find a section called getting started, the first link in it goes to this:

http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/start.aspx

It will show you how to setup both local and external miners.

Yep I've been through the managed miner guide and it doesn't help me in the slightest. Nothing in there about USB attached ASICs.

Interestingly he has made another post 3 hours after creating this thread, so he probably has re-discovered the usefulness of his account. Smiley

I'm only sticking around if I can my damn "New RBox"es to work or I'm gone. That's why I posted in the Awesome Miner thread, hoping I could get them to work through that and CGMiner; but I can't even get any devices to show up. MultiMiner finds my devices (except my gridseed) but the RBoxes apparently hate BFGMiner because they only mine at 20GH/s when they should be doing 100+ GH/s.

No clue what "New RBox"es are, but Dogie has a tonne of useful threads regarding various miners, he might be able to help you, or someone in the thread can help.  Got me up and running months back within a couple days of posts in the thread on cube miners.

Here is a link to one of his threads with a list of equipment he covers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829903.0

Yep, been up and down his RBox thread and nothing. Apparently Rockminer wanted these to only work on CGMiner (I'm using MultiMiner with a BFGMiner backend) and I can't get CGMiner to work on my computer. It's come to the point where I may have to just buy two Rasberry Pis (one for the Rockminers and one for the gridseed I can't get to work either) and use Minera or something as the controller.
