23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Halving and Valuation Survey on: August 17, 2015, 07:23:44 PM
I doubt the price will double or go significant up. never happened to any coin before if I remember correctly.

Just because something hasn't happened previously doesn't mean it wont this time or in the future. I think it's mostly just wishful thinking though, but supply and demand should apply but its a matter of how big the demand is (not much for ltc currently).
24  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-08-03] CD: Police Return Funds Seized from Bitcoin Trader on: August 03, 2015, 05:26:19 PM
Well at least he got them back and his legal bills were quite small in comparison to US ones. Normally people in the states go bankrupt trying to fight these sorts of things and often they dont get their cash or coins back.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats is the fastest way to open a wallet.dat ?? - Noobie Question :/ on: July 20, 2015, 01:29:06 PM
You could open up a blockchain.info wallet and import the wallet.dat there, nice and quick.

Do you mean here sir :

https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet

and do have to register first please answer thank you.

Why would you not want to sign up? Takes a minute. If you don't want to download the blockchain look at getting a lite weight client as they're instant.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funds Bitsoko, promotes BTC literacy in Kenya on: July 20, 2015, 01:27:40 PM
Seems like Bill Gates finally went from "Bitcoin is good, but not good enough" to fully embracing it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace,_extend_and_extinguish
Do you think Bill Gates wants to extinguish BTC? what would he gain from doing so? creating his own microcoin? I dont see it.

I would take the Gates' involvement with a grain of salt. They repeatedly said they want such a digital currency to be "not anonymous", i.e. they want something proprietary; maybe for now they Bitcoin as a stepping stone or a way to prepare people for such a system.

Grow up dude. BITCOIN is not anonymous and wont ever be. This is how the real world works. If you're still hoping the regulation wont kick in and you'll be able to hide with ur btc forever, you might as well sell now and move on.

Didn't he say that's what Bill Gates wanted? He seems to have changed his tune regardless. I think any big name businessman like Gates or even Branson is all good for btc regardless of what they want from it.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece debt crisis: Bitcoin benefits from market turmoil on: July 06, 2015, 09:03:05 AM
Whether bitcoin's recent rise is due to nervous Greeks, fearful of losing their savings, actually buying it, or (more probably), the result of speculation, is a matter of conjecture.  Either way, it's clear bitcoin is having a bit of a moment right now. Rising volumes and a comparative lack of volatility at a time of great macroeconomic uncertainty can only bolster its credentials, though its way too early to describe it as a safe-haven yet.

I doubt its actual Greeks buying bitcoin but non Greeks getting excited and panic buying think Greece will adopt it on some level and bitcoin will go to the moon.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Silk Road's Ulbricht Win Appeal? on: July 06, 2015, 09:01:16 AM
Ross Ullbricht did not get a fair trial. Evidence was withheld to protect the agents, who also stole Bitcoins.

The murder charges was never used in court, they only fabricated that story, to make him look bad, and the sentence is clear evidence of that.

I doubt they were fabricated but it may have been entrapment. If you're going to say evidence was fabricated then you might as well say the entire evidence they had against him was fabricated too.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Integrates Biometric Authentication on: June 18, 2015, 07:16:45 PM
I think they should adopt biometrics on mobile phone wallet aps as well. I don't think people should rely soley on it but with your password and things like google authenticator etc it adds another layer of well needed security.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2015, 07:14:46 PM
Absolutely not,

If you play to speculation, you will lose money 99% sure
And bitcoin is not a place to play money, because it can go up or down really quickly

What? The fact that bitcoin goes up and down is exactly why you can make money on it. Nothing is guranteed but that's the nature of speculation and investments, but I know people who make a nice little profit on trading bitcoins and alts.
31  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Soccer Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: June 07, 2015, 09:11:00 AM
How about the international friendly of Ireland vs England for todays game? Would be nice to have some of the women's world cup games though as well. Last nights opener was a pretty good game and very close.
32  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pastor Creflo Dollar buys $65 000 000 jet on: June 07, 2015, 09:09:13 AM
How much money does that church have if it can afford to buy a plane for that much? I mean, why does that guy even want to buy a plane. I would have thought he'd prefer to splash it out on houses and other things he will get more use out of but maybe he already has all that (paid for by the church goers no doubt). These pastors are always fakes and phoneys any way but I have no sympathy for the members of the church who donate that money because all they're doing is trying to buy their way into heaven which they naively and laughably think they can.
33  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] BUYING HERO ACCOUNT on: May 20, 2015, 04:10:41 PM
So I guess you have already received some feedback.

Any idea about what price you are willing to pay?

Yes, if you state your price range you will get more interest. I think most people wont be willing to sell for a cheap price but if you're buying for 0.8 or around that you'll very likely be able to pick one up quick.
34  Economy / Services / Re: buy me a pizza i will escrow bitcoin 1-1 on: May 20, 2015, 04:08:57 PM

35  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Home Depot Gift Card - 25% off on: May 20, 2015, 04:06:11 PM
Are you selling the physical card or just the code? If it's physical it belongs in Goods or if the code in Digital Goods. And be careful without using escrow. Even some 'trusted' members might try rip you off for 500 dollars.
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: VPN Recommendations - Private Internet Access Sponsor? on: May 11, 2015, 02:05:18 PM
only downside is there US but the US it to busy looking in other peoples gardens than there own.

Maybe, but if they ever want to look into your 'garden' then they can easily request that information or it will already be available to them. IF you want to protect yourself fully you need to make sure you have all your bases covered including what proxy you use.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of buying crpto with PayPal - Not always reversible on: April 25, 2015, 12:02:34 PM
If you can't get your money back from PayPal if you sent the money from your debit or credit card you might be able to do a chargeback via them so try that if the first option fails.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the Headlines: Pundits Ignite Battle of the Sexes on: April 25, 2015, 11:57:34 AM
I don't think bitcoin is 'doomed to failure' just because there's few women currently involved. I'd rather let bitcoin speak for itself over time rather than listening to journalists speculations and predictions also.
39  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Would You Use a Bitcoin Debit Card? on: April 10, 2015, 12:55:53 PM
I would not, debit cards are passe... Smartphone is only tool that almost everyone have to use bitcoin everywhere around world

But most places don't accept payment from a smartphone. At least not in my country (though this might change in the future).

I was Really Happy When BIT-x announced that They are going to release A Debit Card, But when It release the thing is that they Dont Allow send Card to my country, Then I went for a advcash the Same thing with them also they also Dont alow member from my Country, Now Im looking for Anx card and Send a message to OP if they can send a Card to my country. I will not apply for XAPO card, I think Its not a Good Site.

That's the boat I'm in as well.  None of the Bitcoin debit cards ship to the continental US, so I'm pretty much screwed.

Sucks for one's willing to be guinea pigs.  OH well, as soon as the regulatory framework finally gets established, there'll be a ton of these cards on the market....

Why don't you try find someone one a country that will receive them for you and reship them on?
