26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Searching for easy altcoin to mine on PC for 8th grade instruction on: January 09, 2016, 12:17:54 AM
Hello everyone,

I am looking for an altcoin that can be mined from the wallet that still has low difficulty in order to teach my 8th grade programming class about altcoins. I cannot get permission to run miners that require the installation, plus wallets and new accounts. I was granted permission to install wallets if they mine directly. I remember CorgiCoin and PandaCoin had this option ... so I ask the community for help and your thoughts! I need ASAP, as we start school in 10 days.  Huh

Thanks a million,

Zac

Did you know that there exists viruses that lock all your files with passwords, u need to pay the criminals 400-1000 dollars in bitcoin on a Tor browser. So no one can track them. When u paid u get the password to unlock all your own files. But the worst part is that people get paid to install it to other via email. So this affialiate is even worsen than bitcoin mining affiliate.

ClamCoin

That is crazy stuff, damn hackers all up to something! TOR is a crazy place too ... seen a lot of bitcoin (probably) scams, but did not wait to find out.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Crime organizations using malware to mine bitcoin on: July 03, 2015, 07:29:42 PM
Very interesting how Russian crime organizations are using malware to create an army of bitcoin miners, and they are even using affiliates to get the job done! Has anyone here been infected with this malware FeodalCash?

32  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: December 14, 2014, 11:34:54 PM
The company is registered in Canada and he is in Europe, the CIA could not get him so dont blow money on lawyers. For those living in the US the IRS treat it as property so you claim a loss on your taxes.

Thanks for that insight ... Can always use some loss to offset earnings.

+1

Not sure any of this makes much sense, but at least return to me the refund I am due since the Cyrptopay deducts from the sending portion in was 0.5% short ... that is not an earnings issues, but BTC sent and you have provided me nothing. My PBMining account is the same as here ...

35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling btc to minors on: November 10, 2014, 10:05:35 AM
This is an interesting question. I tutor some 13 and 14 year old athletes and this year they decided they wanted to learn about Anonymous and how to start collecting BTC. I have not found any law against it where we live, though I did get their parents to set up their accounts. It is very interesting, and exciting that young people are not only aware, but interested.

I have to agree with the general consensus of the group, if you do , protect yourself and remember that many states and countries have rules that say if you transact with a minor over a certain amount, they or their parents can cancel and demand refund no matter the cost to you!

Good luck and be safe!
