I'd wager that people having grown with the internet may not register as much with the Mandela Effect.
They've always been able to check up information as soon as they wonderedn about it. To them, the revelation the Svalbard exists or that Berenstain is written that way wouldn't be a big deal because they haven't held onto the memory for the last 20 years without having it challenged.
When I was a kid I thought Chicago was spelled ChicaRgo. Thankfully I was still a kid when I realized that I was wrong. Otherwise, now I'd be arguing with people telling them that some sort of major change in the timelone had occured in the past 20 years.

Mmm... The whole idea that Satoshi had (or my interpretation of his idea) was that the system shouldn't have a single voice making the decisions. It sucks how politics are getting in the way of progress but I don't think he should or will intervene.
And anyway, if I have my facts straight (please correct me if I'm wrong), the blocksize that he first presented was much larger than what the core developpers eventually agreed on. Most likely we can figure out what he would have wanted simply by looking back at the system he originally started.

Seems like the inevitable lag in confirming a transaction into the blockchain would be impractical. Unless you have a separate blockchain for the colony/spacestation? I don't know. I'd be interested in reading a science fiction story tackling the idea.

It's strange how people can be fed completely different info and possess completely different impressions about what's going on in the world. Maybe I don't watch the news enough and am missing something because I find it hard to understand what can put people in mind to support the Harper gov's propositions.
To me they seem counter-intutive. Other's may feel that they're the only way that they'll be safe.

An oldy but a fave of mine.
A boy and a girl are taking a bath. The girl asks the boy: "Can I touch it?" The boy says: "No way! You already broke yours off!"

So... I'm just going to chime in regarding the OP's posts and not about all the other debates going on here.
Basically, r/science is a private board with specific rules that aim at producing peer-reviewed scientific research. This means they should let anyone post who has something like that, regardless of the study's conclusions. This also means that any comments should be regarding the specific study or should be providing referenced citations of adding anything not included in the study.
So, should global warming bashers be banned? Yes, if all they do is spout non-referenced non-scientific non-peer-reviewed research or do not present solid logical arguments to discuss the contents of the study. This should be the case for proponents of global warming as well.
It's r/science. It's not about opinion. It's about science. That's it.

Nexus 5. Pretty satisfied. Slows down quite a bit with heavy apps like Spotify, and the camera is occasionally glitchy (but you can just reboot and its fine). Otherwise, a solid phone, big screen, fast, quick updates

Unless I have a specific purchase I am planning on, I usually just exchange them as soon as I get them.

I don't know if the latest models are any good, but I have the original Surface RT and am so far rather disappointed.

Hey! Glad you like it! We actually get blanks from three places, including American Apparel and Anvil. Our white tees and the midnight blue Mining Corps tee come from Alternative. All tees are made out of 100% cotton except the heather grey and blue, which contain 10% polyester. Shipping is unfortunately not free wherever you are, though it's pretty cheap if you choose the slowest option. It can go as low as USD 3$ to Canada and take from 7 to 17 days (-ish) to reach you.

Hey guys! New subscribers to our newsletter will get a promo code for 15% off on their next purchase.
We're still fiddling around with the email automation, so don't be surprised if it takes about a day to get the code in the mail.
