In the fwiw department, I have been mining with deepbit for over a year.  I'm quite happy with it.  Are you going to be able to handle the load when asics start to ship?  I should be going to 90 ghash from my current .800 ghash (i was at 3.6 at one time, but I got rid of my cards early so I could get more out of them.)  I know others probably are going to be doing the same, just don't want to have to find a different pool when I am happy here.

My stuff just got rolled back, had made a sale after the problem, have coins back now

Just want to add that I am impressed with your service Jeremy and look forward to you getting back from vacation so you can get some of this stuff worked out.  I will just build up my coins until then.

Also wanted to add that I did an "Anything" purchase for a Lowes gift card (not a code) they offered no fees and free shipping.  Card arrived within 3 business days of the order completing and was able to use it at the store locally.  I ordered on a wednesday, shipped on thursday and I got it on monday (was ups so they don't deliver on saturday, was actually expecting US mail)

Great job and I look forward to doing more business with you.

When are you going to add paypal? It is still an option for FPGA singles, can we at create get them added for the jalapeno and the ASIC single?

I would recommend the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 for your purposes, it has the same layout for pci-e except one of the 16x slots is replaced with a 1x slot, obviously shouldn't be a problem if you are running 6 cards since you are definitely using some extenders already.  It is $30 cheaper than the UD5 and I like the pci-e layout better.  It also has support for the FX processors.

Even so, we are over 10% above difficulty since the last change almost a week ago, still not very good

What is going on today? Worst luck I think I have seen since I left Slush...  We are currently at 25% over difficulty for 24 hours

Edit:  my bad, it is actually 45% over difficulty at ~2500000

Sorry if this has already been answered, but what is the power consumption of the Bitforce SC? Thanks!

Which one? Jalapeno is 2.5W, Single should be around 30W, Mini-Rig around 700W.

Where has this info been posted? Seems to good to believe given the hash rate.

Any chance we could get a feature added so that we can see which blocks were found by us individually.  I have to my credit 5 blocks, but no idea which ones they were.

How bad does overclocking affect the power efficiency? I thought it would improve, but I guess that I am mistaken?
31  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Overclocking a water cooled 5970 on: June 02, 2012, 03:19:30 PM
I bought the card with the cooling block installed, so I don't know how well everything is physically connected, but it seems as if every component is getting proper cooling.

The current is running ~69A pretty solid, did see one very small gap
33  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Overclocking a water cooled 5970 on: June 01, 2012, 02:05:03 PM
Are the vrm's labelled VDDC(1,2,3) ?

If so, those are running about 66C right now, I will have to see what they hit when it gets hour again next week, but I can't imagine that they would hit 100
34  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Overclocking a water cooled 5970 on: June 01, 2012, 01:52:38 PM
Those are the other 2 temps in gpu-z right?  If so then they have never been more than 10C hotter than the gpu temp. I.e. ~60C or less.
35  Bitcoin / Mining / Overclocking a water cooled 5970 on: June 01, 2012, 01:44:35 PM
I've been overclocking an Xfx 5970 black edition with an Ek water block.  I have never seen temps above 50C so far and today it is running at about 40C due to a cold weather front that popped up this week.  (also have it in the garage where it is cooler)

My question is, since I have no chance of over heating the card, what is the chance of causing damage to the card with aggressive overclocking and over voltage.  I am currently running 1.139V @ 950 Mhz.   I'm getting about 415Mhash per core for ~830 for the whole card using cgminer, catalyst 12.3.  I think my settings are -v2 -w128 -g2 -i7.  I could probably set the intensity higher since it is a 2500k system and I don't really get on it too much for more than web browsing or burning a dvd.

Any suggestions for improving my hash rate?
36  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: So hot! Gah! on: May 29, 2012, 02:05:12 PM
It's just that in the US people aren't used to using Centigrade for air temp (or any other metric measuring system for that matter) I know that whenever I tell anyone my GPU temps, they don't really understand (i live in michigan).

Personally I wouldn't want to know my temps in fahrenheit, I don't want to know when my temps are nearly 180 degrees, lol.

Wow, I thought I had a problem and I'm only running 4 rigs@ 3.2G  Grin

I would buy one if it had some way to mount cards on extenders  Roll Eyes
39  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: So hot! Gah! on: May 23, 2012, 01:50:36 AM
Got over 90 deg this last weekend in Michigan before it stormed on Sunday, I have 1800 of my 2450 Mh/s in the garage and 1500 of that is on an open air rig with a 20" box fan blowing over it.  Even with those temps outside I managed to keep all GPU temps below 75C until the temp dropped Sunday night.  Now they are running sub 65C, with one at 55.5C.  The lowest one is on an extender sitting on a box directly in front of the fan, the rest of the rig is mounted on a piece of 3/8" plexiglass that is mounted vertically (I really need to take some pictures)

I still have a 5970 to add to my rigs, but it came with a watercooler so I need to get that set up first. (Also got a steal on the WC pump and rad)

I did the AC thing in the room last year, got to be a bit silly and expensive.
40  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 6970 +5850 + 800w PSU on: May 23, 2012, 01:15:01 AM
Just an FYI, my rig listed above (4 GPU's) is running perfectly on a 1000W power supply.  Your 800 should be more than enough.  I have measured it at the wall before at less than 800W, but that was with a 5850 instead of the 6950, but the difference should be negligible.  I switched my incoming power to 240V and my kill a watt doesn't support that.
