Is domains good as loan collateral?
It cant be good collateral. Because it might be recovered by a social team. and also the price of the domain might be not accurate it can be manipulated. It is only a small loan $15. For 4 .com domains.

Nagle, how do you feel about Gold? It doesn’t pay any dividend either, and its industrial and economic use is very limited.
Is this a pyramid scheme as well?
I like your answer. It's funny how Chodpabas answer is very similar to yours, yet yours doesn't get disputet at all, while the thread unwinds to discuss Chodpabas answer at length. It's because, well, who would dispute the value of gold? It's had value for thousands of years, yet is suffers some of the same "problems" bitcoin "suffers" from. I've been pointing out that bitcoin is more like gold than like a currency (or, god beware, bank notes) since I first got in touch with bitcoin in early 2011. That sentiment doesn't resonate much for some reason and people just go on to discuss money, investement, economics,... probably a good thing. If I can buy a ring of bitcoin, and propose to my girlfriend with it, then bitcoin is like gold. If I can't, then your argument fails.

Some people fare well not using charts, and some fare well using charts. Both options are very valid. We have been using charts successfully for bitcoin since September 2010, just like any other financial market (for more than a decade).
Just out of interest, your profile pic depicts the $30 bitcoin bubble earlier this year. Any chance of upgrading it to show the subsequent price activity? Your guess is wrong. The chart is from mid February 2011 when prices traded at the high at 1.1 $ Nice. +1 for you! ^_^

scammers get banned from here all the time man, so.............................. it already doesnt exist.
Huh? I think you are confusing s cammers with s pammers, because we don't ban scammers. Sure, we flag their account and prevent them from editing their posts, but that's it. BCX would only have been banned if it was discovered that he was trolling, and I have it on good authority that he wasn't. Otherwise, it's better for everyone if we let someone attack a chain out in the open rather than completely in secret. Besides, the exchanges closed because they were contacted directly by BCX, not because of anything on this forum, so banning him would have literally changed nothing. Yes I did contact all the exchanges and I did forewarn everyone. Lolcust welcomed the attack on the original Geist Geld. It helped him plug a huge hole before his chain was out too far in the wild. I also made it very clear publicly that I had mined over 20,000 blocks in 73 minutes so everyone would know. After ArtForz developed a "cure" for my enhanced version of The Time Travel Exploit he developed, I thoroughly tested GG and it passed 100%. The fix was offered to Ixcoin, I0coin and even Solidcoin as they have the same issues. I am waiting on Ixcoin and i0coin to notify me and I will stress test the exploit. Bitcoin was never in any danger as the devs were smart enough to not switch to a time adjustment in the diff algo. NMC also did not suffer from time adjustment issues but exploits unique to NMC were made wide open by an enhanced version. I'm not sure how they will fix that and quite frankly Bitcoin Dev Team is insane if they allow merged mining to proceed. I never attacked any live networks, other than GG1 who wanted it and I never stole a single coin from any chain not to mention major holes plugged on three chains. But then again, your name isn't DOUCHEBAGEXPRESS, so obviously he wasn't talking about you. ^_~

Please tell me you don't vote. If you can't even look up what it is you're complaining about you shouldn't open your mouth............. put time limits on welfare....guess what would happen? Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity ActRequiring recipients to begin working after two years of receiving benefits; Placing a lifetime limit of five years on benefits paid by federal funds; Mister kettle, perhaps you should quit screaming that the pot is black. and might want to do a little research yourself before opening your mouth.. er fingers. as for what happened, you can look that up as wellI swear I love it when people get all high and mighty and accuse others of being ignorant and not looking shit up, while they spew ignorance. I think Mistafreeze was referring to extension of the length of time that unemployment insurance benefits can be collected, which has nearly quadrupled since Obama took office; going from 26 weeks to 99 weeks.

Bitcoin miners are quite wealthy. Show me a poor person who can spend thousands of dollars on computer hardware to mine bitcoins. *crickets*
If anyone is living pay cheque to pay cheque while mining bitcoins, they really need to have a serious look at their finances.
The average bitcoin miner is living hand to mouth? Really? REALLY?
Fact is, most everyone educated enough to analyze bitcoins and enough disposable income join the community is not hurting for cash. A few tens, hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars plus or minus a month is likely undetectable noise to most bitcoin enthusiasts.
We're far more likely driven by ego, entertainment value, etc etc than a $40 power bill. Which for me, at least, does not come on the 1st of the month.
I never said that anyone involved was living paycheck to paycheck and you seem to be missing the main thrust of my analysis, the original dive was spurred by people getting out of BTC for real-world expenses. This is what spurred on a panic sell-off. When moving a $1000 USD in or out can actually, and noticeably move the market price, then when collectively all the bitcoin miners pull out their $5 million USD power bill, it messes with the market, big time. Even if only 1% thought "hmm... I wonder if I could pay my power bill with all these silly bitcoins I've been mining" That's still half the current market depth. I'm using good old fashion micro-economics to examine what's going on.
