21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - New algo is online! on: September 03, 2020, 05:12:15 PM

also - why so many confirmations needed? my first block is at 391 of the needed 4033 confirmations - it has taken almost 20 hours to get to 391 confirmations, at this rate it will take almost 2 weeks per each block to get reward. Seems a bit long to me.

I think it was made due to very low current hashrate of Bitcore network to avoid 51% Attack. As soon as the hashrate increase devteam will decrease the number of required confirmation.

But we still wait any comments about GPU miner for new algo

ok, it is working - btw, what is the block reward supposed to be?

Total block reward is 1.5625 BTX every 2.5 minutes

The half goes to masternodes and the half goes to PoW miners (wallet built-in miner now) I think. And we see tx amount of 0.78125 BTX when block is found
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - New algo is online! on: September 02, 2020, 06:23:30 PM
do you have to be a masternode in order to mine?

because:

generate 1 -1

does nothing for me when I enter it in console.

no you dont need but u need to be fully synched than it should work

i am fully synced and nothing occurs when i type "generate 1 -1"

maybe I need to open a port or something? I have only 11 network connections at the moment and all are outbound.

It should wait some time for a responce like this:

It's my yesterday experiments. Today my reward time increase dramatically and is about several hours
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - New algo is online! on: September 02, 2020, 12:42:30 PM
how can we mine this? are there any pools? I dont understand the whole "generate 1 -1" that was mentioned above to mine.

It looks like at the moment you can mine only with wallet built-in miner by using console comand
Code:
generate
CPU-only  Cheesy

Hope soon we will see GPU miner and pools, but no info about it

A new BitCore BTX algorithm is coming!
Why is this important? Because new

those equipments unused right now
can come alive again with BitCore BTX. Algo-switch 01Sep2020.

Thanks for your support !

The most of Bounty Managers forget to ask Signature creators check the compatibility of signatures with most popular browsers.
I just checked one topic and see the following mistakes:

First example
In Google Chrome Browser this looks good

But the same in Firefox or IE looks as follows:

Second example
in Chrome

in FF/IE

The reason of the mistakes is wrong counting of strings in signatures

Do not make your promotion campaign looking unprofessional.

Just ask for PROFESSIONAL Signature Creation

I always check my designed signatures with most popular browser and Win and Linux OS

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC halving on: June 27, 2019, 02:17:14 PM
At the beginning of August, there is LTC halving. Does Btc and ltc move together or does ltc increase independently?

Probably it will looks like previous halving. When the price went up till halving and went down after. But will see in few month would LTC repeat the previous pattern
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC or ETH, what good to own now?? on: June 26, 2019, 05:16:41 PM
For shortterm investment I would choose LTC now. Before halving LTC will grow. Though for the longterm I would wait several month after halving to make investment to LTC
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins: to Mine or to Buy? That is the Question on: June 26, 2019, 05:01:06 PM

That depends on what you want, but mostly altcoins mining are not like Bitcoin mining, so you don't really have to mention the hot hardware lol. But from my previous research, mining a new coin is better than rushing in and buying it and speculating that the price will go up. Most people that have tried it really got some good positive results from mining altcoins than buying. Unless you're talking about Bitcoin, then I would say that it is better to buy it, cause the price can move up a big way at anytime and you will make profit (there's still the risk of losing though.

Yeap I forgrot to mention that I talk about GPU-mining. It's more flexible than Bitcoin mining because of more oportunities to choose a coin. But to find new coin in "stealth" mode is also very hard task. I try to check message boards about new coins but currently I use nicehash for my GPU rig (I don't use algo switch soft I configure my rig to nicehash stratum). Maybe at the end of this week I will convert my "test mined" BTC to altcoins. Also my "Buying" portfolio probably will be changed too
