There's some Reddit posts about some users who've investigated the Alpha Tech company by going there in person to Manchester, and based on what I've read, it appears to be a scam. But time will tell.
I highly doubt Coindesk would report on a scam, firstly. Secondly, usually scams take in as much money as they can scam. Alpha sold out in a few days and havent listed anymore. Either that, or they're "smart" scam artists and decided to make it look more believable by having a fake pre-order sell out for added credibility.

Well, as I figured, this received no bites. I assume this is purely due to lack of collateral? I honestly don't see what else the issue could be.
In the off chance that the issue is lack of proof of hashing power to return the payment with, one could simply check the bitcoin mining address listed in my signature.I could also take pictures of the devices doing the mining if that would be requested. I also plan on posting the proof of purchase for the AntMiner I plan on ordering with the assistance of this loan the moment it gets placed.
If if is the plan for providing a return, as stated in the opening post, I'm more than willing to discuss this with the person making the loan.
ACTUAL estimated payback time is in two weeks. I was hoping to get this loan before the next difficulty increase to make payback even quicker.

Looking for a BTC1.1 loan to invest in new hardware to be paid back with 10% interest ( BTC1.21) within 30 days tops, accounting for possible major difficulty increases. It's most likely to be paid off sooner, as I currently have 240GHash of mining power, and my future total pending purchase after the loan will be 420GHash, delivered within a week. According to many calculators, this will yield BTC0.11 per day for the current difficulty and BTC0.09 per day during the next. Unfortunately, I have no collateral of such value to offer, however I can say that I have done this successfully in the past with a higher amount of bitcoins risked. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I am also open to negotiation, however I do wish to get this loan done as quickly and painlessly as possible. Thanks for your time and consideration. [ Edit: Proof of current hash rates ]

.5 for one, or all of them? :p

Sounds more like a scam to me. No proof of purchase, no trust and asking for 30% up front with no mention of escrow.
PMs so that further shadiness isn't in public view, and 30% because it's easier to convince people to make a smaller risk.
Good call, I second this... Wait, is it a scam if he is reselling a scam? I'm confused. or is it that he might not have paid the original scammer and is now trying to sell a fake pre-order of a fake pre-order? I think he's selling a fake pre-order for a fake pre-order that's falsely advertised in that the fake pre-order itself is falsely advertised.

couldnt you just recover your account?
He could, as could any young teen and forward who plays. It's deceptively easy to reclaim an account in World of Warcraft no matter what happened to it. Also, no account is ever worth as much as he's asking.

Bumping again, price updated yet again.

Not only do you have negative trust, you're creating stocks for a company that is yet to exist, and you've already defaulted on a 1 BTC loan. You refuse to offer valid collateral. You're expecting another loan ... why, again?

Thanks - it's been a pleasure. I left you some trust, and would be happy to loan again, but all my BTC is tied up right now. That's not a problem, man. Just glad you were happy with how things worked out. Anyways, I'm ready to take on another investor or two. Same deal as with msc. Looking into buying AntMiners presently, since they're available and ready to go.

Still way overpriced. You'll be better off using eBay.
|
|

I'll pay .5 for one of them, shipped, if you're willing to sell it here.
Nobody here will ever pay eBay prices for hardware.

Agreed. The thing that caught my eye was this statement: Earn a daily rate for using our service. This is a bonus for helping to test our service as we build it. The daily rate will be eliminated when VirtaPay is converted to a crypto-currency. Not even sure I need to explain what's wrong with that concept.

Last payment sent. Msc now completely paid back in full, plus the 10% interest, as promised. Transaction Details.

I kind of agree. If it were bitco.in, that would be one thing.
btcco.in is horribly redundant, and nowhere near easy to remember. You just knocked out two of the top reasons domains sell right there. You're lucky if you can convince people to pay slightly above cost for it.

To be honest you guys, I am shocked at the perceived value of these. Not to say you guys are wrong, based on the interest, I would say the value of the Jups have taken a massive hit since diff change (as expected). But 6 BTC is outrageous. You will make that in 1.5 months hashing. I am looking for a fair deal here, but I am not going to be low-balled. To be fair, with the upcoming hardware releases due next month and the month after, there's a good chance that this may not ROI for anyone by then. I'd say 6 is a bit low, but you're looking at around seven. It's up to you whether or not you want to accept it, but I still say you'd likely make more selling it than you would by keeping it for over a couple of months. And no, that's not what I'm offering. Don't even have 7 BTC. Just a realistic expectation at this point.

.. I did not get a chance to test the RAM..
Sound already like DOA ! You will offer a refund ? Assuming it's DoA, yes, but it was working fine as I was using it, including the moment I took it out of the system, so that's not a problem. I would require proof of it, however. PS - This, coming from a scammer. Cute.

I'll also bid .02 for one.

Oh it's PSC. I was hoping for Hypers. Thanks for the info.
Ps. The amazon link you provided is not for the same kit. You're trying to sell 6gb and advertising 12gb.
Yeah, noticed that. Found out the kit I'm trying to sell still sells for $120, though. $80 isn't too bad, considering, don't you think? Or should I lower the price?
