21  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1.3 TH] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop, instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: December 03, 2013, 02:28:03 PM
Hello guys!

No one wrote in russian version of this topic so i decided to post here too.

I mined at this pool (deepbit) and totally made 122+ coins. But there is 51.6+ coins on my account right now and i cant withdraw it. Any time i get messages "Please_wait_for_autopayment!" or "Please_wait_2_minutes!".
So main question: how and when i can withdraw my coins? And i can't understand why no coins on the pool's e-wallet. Count is too big for percents i think.
Question 2: Everithing is OK with pool? Shall it continue working? Because my miner still work but looks like in idle - BTC counter doesn't change, but i see solutions on the deepbit's statistics page.
Question 3: do you plan to support Asics?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
1. Yes. As it was said in today's post, payments were paused for safety reasons. You can just leave autopayment enabled and most of your coins will be paid automatically when I'll enable the payments today. Note that autopayment only pays down to 0.01 BTC.

2. Yes, pool is working, but our total hashrate is low.

3. Yes.

I seriously don't get it.
We come to an agreement two weeks ago, but then nothing happens.. No contact.
PM me your e-mail address please (not the account name, but actual working e-mail so I can find that thread).

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Today I got reports about unauthorized address change requests received by some deepbit users. Maybe this is a consequence of Bitcointalk forum security breach or just a coincidence, but I recommend checking your mailbox and ensuring that everything is still fine with your account.
Permanent bitcoin address locking is seriously recommended, but be sure to backup your private keys for that address and double check if it's correct since this operation cannot be undone.

This issue was reported by ~5 users, but this still may be a concern, so payments will be paused for a few hours so everyone can check their addresses.
24  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1.3 TH] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop, instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: December 03, 2013, 06:45:45 AM
How do i Change my BTC wallet address on the site and what is the Current Min Payout?
Current minimal payment is 0.01 BTC, but it will be changed soon due to bitcoin price rise.
If your bitcoin address field is grayed out then your address was permanently locked by your request. This cannot be undone.
25  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Wrong use of BUY/SELL - Re: ICBIT Derivatives Market (USD/BTC futures trading) on: December 01, 2013, 12:57:28 AM
Could you please clarify?
While Fireball didn't answered this yet, I'll post some additional notes.

1) you are not "buying" 10 USD, you are "buying" 10 USD worth of bitcoins.
2) correct settlement formula is published in each contract's specs.
3) there is a "calculator" icon in the "New order" widget. You can try to give it some numbers to check what results you'll get with given contract. (Fees not calculated ATM)
26  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ICBIT Derivatives Market (USD/BTC futures trading) - LIVE on: November 28, 2013, 04:50:06 AM
Important message about recent changes.

Our rules are in effect starting from this night: https://icbit.se/rules
Most statements were already de facto in effect, and our main goal was to cover all possible situations, so we will add more explanations should any uncertainty arise.

Additional margin (see rule 3.3.1.2):
I expect that approximately half of our players would be very upset with new additional margin, but you should understand that this is the only one possible way to deal with current situation. Base margin for all contracts only covers any movements within the trading range, but no more, so there is no way we could settle a contract with 100% contango if just ~10% is covered by a margin. 100% contango is a severe condition and it was even rising instead of contracting, so we had to implement this additional margin to be able to manage settlement of this instrument.
Other half of those positions, who were shorting, will understand that we did it to be able to pay all shorts.
We also get messages from possible big traders telling us that it's just absolutely not serious to keep such a low margin and that they wouldn't trade here knowing that their profit may be not paid due to longs defaulting.
It's still not the end of the world, and we won't issue margin calls in this and next trading session so you can either reduce/close your position or add funds.
Yes, we also had a proposal to deploy additional margin gradually, by a few percents per day, but as our estimation shows, this would cause much more damage.
It turns out that some players with long positions were intentionally exploiting this low-margin situation, buying more contracts at the price higher than they ever expected spot to reach at the settlement.
Summary: we know that this a very unpopular change and we expect lots of scam accusations with negative feedback, but 1) we had no choice, this is the only way to be able to settle our BTC/USD instruments, either this or stopping our operations, 2) this change makes our trading much more secure and we decided that it's more important than possible negative feedback. It's not a completely sudden change, we posted the proposal in the trollbox many times during the last 3 weeks, even personally to some long position holders, but didn't received a lot of alternative solutions. And yes, we understand that trollbox is for informal communications, not official announcements.

Technical issues and withdrawals/deposits today:
We experienced some bad luck today and have to move/switch some servers due to hardware problems, this includes our Bitcoin interface too, so bitcoin operations may be delayed while this server is offline. Don't worry, your bitcoins are safe and we will continue operations soon. As I said before, no margin calls will be issued during this and next trading sessions.

New rules:
If you think that our rules do not cover some important aspect of the exchange, please comment here and we will add clarifications. It's important to cover all possible situations there.

Your safety is our priority.

I don't mind helping the pool to get it back up.  Are the stats on the site correct?   Did this really happen:
http://blockchain.info/block-index/439709/00000000000000046ecff1fada9be8c94eb6e040463686eb647700d56692de73
Blockchain.info is usually wrong about our blocks, you better use http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/blocklist.php

What the heck happened to this awesome pool?  I mined 60+ coins back in the day.  What is the current status?   Should I bring my 80G in?
Pool is working, but for 80G I would recommend coming when we'll have Stratum protocol support.

Since someone is still answering messages here, could you please look up my case of suspended funds? It's been almost a year. No email goes through, and Tycho doesn't answer private messages. I have 0.4 BTC locked. How to proceed?
Sorry, but I can't remember who you are. Possibly your e-mail was lost.
Please send it again with mentioning your login name and reason for account blocking.

tycho! i would like to change my adress, but its fixed! there is my oldwallet (crashed site). can you unlock it?
Hello.

I'm sorry, but permanent address lock is permanent and can't be unlocked. There was a warning about that in the confirmation e-mail.
Otherwise what would be the point, if it can be unlocked via e-mail or forum requests ? Also by locking your address you mean that you are not 100% trusting your e-mail.

I'm gonna keep my 1GH FPGA at deepbit even though they are running at a loss, can you add a block found email notification? Wink
Block found specifically by you or by anyone ?
33  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1.3 TH] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop, instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: November 12, 2013, 08:11:09 AM
I see A LOT of bruteforce attempts at user logins and password recently. Please be careful.
You are safe unless you are using same password on different sites or your password is way too easy or your e-mail is hacked.

Some big DB leaks happened at some services, including bitcointalk.org, Adobe and etc., so hackers can know your e-mail address already.
Ensure that your bitcoin address field is not empty at the Deepbit page because otherwise e-mail confirmation is not required to set it.

If its any help, cgminer mostly reads communication failure for the pool, and alot of resubmits for what I can get when connected.
Probably something between the pool and the miners. Sometimes DDoS-protection services cause more problems than DDoSes....

I see that hashrate is down 50% on the pool, but not found the cause yet, everything looks fine on this side.
Working on this, sorry for the inconvenience.

Manual payments not working at the moment:
"Please_wait_for_autopayment!"
This message was shown because the payment system is waiting for hot wallet to be refilled. Please wait for autopayment or try again later.
Looks like the USD/BTC rate rise caused people to withdraw more bitcoins than usual.
38  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3700 Gh/s] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop,instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: January 03, 2013, 09:12:32 AM
Payment system is being updated at this moment, all payments will be temporarily paused for about one hour.

UPDATE: Payments enabled.
39  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3700 Gh/s] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop,instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: December 31, 2012, 11:14:49 AM
Some of you noticed that automatic payments now are happening not at the 00 minutes, but at some more random times and manual payment requests are sometimes timing out.
I know why this happened and it will be fixed tomorrow, don't worry. No payments are lost anyway.

Hey new to RPC. wanting to see if it will work better than GUI, but im having setup troubles.
Anyone mind giving a hand? was running at around 88mh/s back on GUI

This is what happens when i try to run rpcminer-cuda

http://imgur.com/4Md5B
Looks like this problem is not related to the pool. You can try to ask in the miner's support thread on this forum, they may know better.

By the way, if you are using nVidia card are you sure that it will be at least profitable to mine ?
