Yeah, not sure how someone doing something makes it magically not illegal. Around me, people keep starting illegal casinos and they usually get shut down/fined after a few months. Then the people start up another one and keep cycling as they earn more than it's costing for the fines, so they win. Doesn't make it any less illegal, it just means the punishment isn't big enough to warrant stopping.

I will think about the trust rating I left overnight and will possibly reconsider it. However any harm that my opinions may have caused your reputation will likely benefit you in the long run.
A quick google search regarding Canadian law and online gambling comes with results that both say that online gambling is a gray area of the law and that running an online gambling site is outright illegal. I would say that at best the site will cause legal headaches for you.
I believe the owner of SWC was recently arrested inside the US for running an online casino (or some similar charge related to that) recently. The US also tends to be pretty aggressive at pursuing crimes against successful people, as doing so allows prosecutors to make names for themselves. I was able to recently access the site while using a US gateway from my VPN (from a US based IP address).
If you have to pay $50k for a license to run the software then your initial investment would be the equivalent of ~217.4 BTC. The site profit of bit dice is ~600 BTC (which I assume does not account for any expenses), however I would think that dice sites wold get a lot more volume of betting (and as a result more profits) then a poker site, however I may be wrong on this.
I admit that dzeros is very good at marketing (however his ethics are questionable at best) as this is likely how he was able to scam for such large amounts of money. Anything with his name anywhere near it is almost certain to be a scam in my eyes. I would guesstimate that he has probably scammed for at least 50 BTC from sites advertised on bitcointalk and probably more from sites run on other forums. Research into his identity has lead me to find allegations of scamming dating back to 2012 on various forums, however I suspect that he had started scamming prior to that by ~2 years. He was able to manipulate multiple people into taking actions that resulted in their reputation (on here) to be ruined, including getting people to both attempt to extort people and to participate in his scams (as in help him scam).
I have (credible) information to believe that dzeros is an alt of the people I mentioned in my negative trust. The people I named are better known alts of his. I have removed my negative trust, however please see my above statement.
The quoted statement includes the phrase would be after would scam, which is saying that if the site were to scam you would do it in a certain way, it did not say that you actually engage in this practice.
No, online gambling a lot closer to black then white, poker on the other hand is a lot closer to white (with the skill aspect) with KYC rules in place. There are a number of online casino being "run" out of gastown in Vancouver, but for me its too close to the edge. I wrote a full dice site ( http://shibe-dice.com) BEFORE really looking these rules, have a look at the Programmable Auto Roller and you will see where the bot come from. The site is sitting 100% operational, minus the fact that wallet is disconnected. I dropped the whole project after digging into the laws deeper. I need to shut that down one of these days Amazon keeps dinging me for servers. Damn recurring charges, I always say I am going to do it later. I enjoy life without having to look over my shoulder. I retired some years ago. Now I do things mostly for fun. |

It seems that he claims to have sold his ownership stake in the site. I have updated my trust rating accordingly.
I suggest you update it again. No where does Dzeros says he owns it. Is either run by or was previously run by Moreia, TheGambler, serial HYIP/ponzi scammer. He claims to have sold his portion of his ownership of the site, however based on the fact that Moreia has scammed so many people over such a long period of time I do not believe anything he says.
The name Dzeros does not appear in this statement. These other "people" I have never spoken to or even seen around. Dzeros does not and never has "run" the site. He has been in playing. And that quoted statement does not look like an opinion to me. |

In order for a defendant to be held liable for libel a plaintiff must prove a statement to be false. All of what I have posted can be reasonably construed as an opinion and as a result you would need to prove that what I said was in fact not my opinion at the time.
As I stated, I am not a lawyer, from what I was quickly told, it seemed to fit, but would be unsure until Monday when it could be reviewed. |

I know Dzeros from bitdice.me... not personally.. he NEVER had any ownership of the site. I had talked to him about doing some marketing, but nothing was ever finalized. I have another person from bitdice.me the moderates the chat and gives away chips. These are some of the people I have met playing dice. Nobody has access to anything but my self and the owner. The mod can not even look at emails.. I fill his account with chips to give away. A license from Kahnawake starts at 50K and you have to host with them. We've been looking into other options because of the hosting. Poker Software licences start at 20K and go very high from there depending on the deal. Then add in all the man hours.. Do not pay one player quickly without a damn good reason and your finished. The most I ever saw at one time on SWC was about 300, but was a while ago so not really sure. I am willing to bet the average player hold was less then 0.5btc Pretty sad return for a "scam" Do you have any idea the kind of money a decent poker site can make on rake? Once we get going, I do think we can do it better then SWC or his new site. I tend to go off the deepend when attacked. The posts I had deleted, I am still not sure if it was my language, or off topic , but it was in this thread. In reply to the guy complaining the giveaways were to low. Sure we want people to have fun, win some, but we are not giving away the farn. I am sorry I snapped and in hindsight I should have use PM to resolve this. |

I think that it is clear that you do not know the definition of libel. Nothing in my previous statements would be considered to be libel even if proved to be false

I am not allowed to comment on the other matter, after a quick call we were told we should not comment on it until after Monday once everything is reviewed. Screen caps, comments etc. but I can comment on The most likely vector the site would scam would be that it would know all the player's hands and would bet/play accordingly

It is 3rd party software, and I do not know the hands until after the hand is finished and hand postback is called. Again I state "check your facts before you post this BS"I do believe your already in for enough, are you sure want to keep making more incorrect/false statements? The cron runs once every minute to check for withdraws... about as fast as we can make it without a separate daemon. If you do not see your withdraw within 2 minutes, something crashed and please feel free to write us tons of emails, come here and post about it, come see if I am on either bitdice.me or just-dice.com, go post on my bot site forum.. I am generally somewhere around. Please do not deposit, there really is no reason too, 99% of the other players do not have enough bankroll to make it worth it ... there is not a single tournament with a buy in, other then a couple small sit and go's for the knock out fun, they are all free rolls. Hmm, how do you know? IMO this site may be legit. Good remind to us, I am just a freeroller, I never deposit money to a poker house, I won't be scammed in poker sites.  The only scamming on here would be collusion between players. That why we give everyone free BTC to play with, I need the data from players. The Poker Maven software plays well, but has very poor reporting formatting. I am still working on all the reports. We actually did not really expect anyone would deposit, but the free play gives the reports I need to parse that data. We are already looking at different software, but figured Poker Mavens would give us a good feel as to the potential before he spent a ton on other software. Unfortunately I live in the US and can not put a dime into the site, or take any % of any profit or else it would be a much faster start up. |

Perhaps an open letter in meta to solve this issue and present an evidence that the owner of this site is indeed not moreia. Quickseller may be wrong about this and if you could actually present a strong evidence than he will likely remove the innacurate feedback. Discussing this things here will make this thread full of negative argument which is not good for the sites reputation
I'm still trying to figure out how things work around this board. I've already had a couple of posted deleted to my surprise.. I have a confidential source that confirmed the fact that TheGambler is running this site, which was corroborated by the posting history of shills in this thread. I don't want to give specifics as to how I know because I don't want to allow him to avoid detection in the future which I see that he is already attempting to do since the last time I posted proof it is him.
I am glad the site is getting zero attention, however if you deposit any funds onto the site, chances are you will not have a fair chance of winning
You Sir, are full of it.. I have no idea who this person you speak of is, but I do know the owner of this site is a relative of mine in Canada. I told him about SWC, and he wanted to give it a shot. Once we are 100% all the tracking is working, he will ramp up the promotions. The API is very unfriendly for reporting. I did all the programming, we have deposits and withdraws going just fine. The software is Poker Mavens so would you care to explain how you think players don't have a fair chance? Now your calling Briggs software scammers as well? And before you start calling me a scammer, I suggest you talk to players and owners of JD and BitDice.me, that is where I spend most of my time. I do escrows all the time for people, but unlike you, I do it for free. I give my software away for free and there has never been a single issue with it. I suggest you get your facts straight before posting this BS. |
