21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is TAC (Layer-2) really necessary for Ton? on: July 12, 2024, 03:37:37 AM
    • Do you think TAC is really necessary for Ton development and its users?

I think it's quite important knowing it enables EVM compability which means there's greater chance of integration for TON blockchain to all the already established dapps, no need to rewrite entirety of the code base just so a project can integrate to TON blockchain, it's the age of omni chain and I think any blockchain that aren't EVM compatible should implement EVM compability

    • Are you currently using Ton and would you be willing to experience TAC?
I used TON quite frequently prominently stable transfers, never found issue with the scalability, but if TAC could bring integration to EVM based dapps, definitely a good thing

    • Do you think TAC will have its own token? Would you invest in that token?
They probably will, I mean what project these days doesn't have TGE? Neon and Aurora that you mentioned have token so TAC will have high chance of issuing token based on that but I won't invest, not really fan of these kind of project.
    22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: July 12, 2024, 02:31:53 AM
Al-Ittihad has been interested in signing Kevin De Bruyne recently.

    https://www.transfermarkt.com/kevin-de-bruyne/geruechte/spieler/88755
That's good, and de bruyne said that he's also open for saudi move. De Bruyne could go there. But, only if Ittihad sends him a good offer and he is now open to any possibilities.

What do you think about Manchester City in case he leaves this summer?  Huh
I think it's obvious. Losing one of the best talents will hurt Manchester City. It will also impact their domination in the Premier League. City can recruit a good AM to replace him, like Olmo from Leipzig. But, I think there's no guarantee Olmo will bring City to the top like de Bruyne did.
Would you expect them to have bigger problems on creativity?
I would expect lack of creativity to happen with city. Lack of great attacking midfielder who can be as creative as him. Manchester city may be able to sign a new AM, but i think it's hard to find someone who can play as good as him.

Honestly they have such an amazing squad that I don't feel like they will lose a lot of power. De Bruyne's absence would be felt for sure but I think Guardiola would find a way to balance the team. He is a smart guy. They have lots of money to spend on another great player also to fill De Bruyne's place at the same time.
I must emphasize that De bruyne has a very big impact to the manchester city. Also, he is having most contribution since manchester city was nothing in the EPL. Money can't guarantee city to get an attacking midfielder with the same quality as de bruyne.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Countless Telegram Mining Apps - Crypto Adoption or Devaluation? on: July 11, 2024, 01:10:38 AM
I think with the success of Notcoin, most projects' team now believe that telegram can help onboard a lot of users to the project since "crypto is all about the community". Recent quotes from Blum and Hamster says it all. But we also should be wary of the ills that comes with it.
But I can't say for certain, whether that will bring mass adoption since we could have bots amongst these new surge of users.
The bots are indeed a problem but actually we've seen increase in adoption of crypto through this kind of method but my concern is that majority of them are adopting crypto not because they find use or try to invest in it but just short term hype revolving around the game that overpromise reward, that narrative doesn't feel right and most of them once faced with the reality of airdrop and its nature of uncertainty, they will be disappointed.

not to mention many of these telegram apps are heavily abstracting the use of blockchain and try to make it closer to privately owned app in term of user experience.

pretty much the whole thing about this telegram mining app if underdelivered their promise, will just try to form another prejudice toward crypto all over again so honestly sometime I also feels like these telegram crypto mining apps or something similar to be devaluing crypto for the reasons that already being elaborated by OP here.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 11, 2024, 01:01:32 AM
True, I thought that it's going to hold unfortunately, it's not. Volume is down as well, perhaps some entities are pulling the market down. Support line along $58,000 didn't hold that much. In any case, July looks like to be June as well, struggling to recover and it's hard to see for now getting to $60,000.

We still have a lot of days though this July, so who knows, Bitcoin as an assets needs to mature, as we have seen deepest correction since 2022, investors should not panic, traders should be smart as well so that they won't be carried away as for sure they could have been losing big money along the way.
I was hoping to see bitcoin price close around $62k but even that seem to be really hard, despite ETF inflow has been raking money around $294 million alone in 8th of july according to theblock eth inflow/outflow data and also the big player like black rock buying bitcoin by the hundred millions market still get pulled down again. People already learned to buy the dip but there's just as you said some entity trying to pull the market down trying to pull string behind the scene.

on the other hand ETH because of its ETF is still going strong but I expect it to be weak since the market trend and sentiment isn't that good.
really hoping that the bullrun isn't over yet here. Having the ATH just a little bit higher than previous one feels kinda incomplete.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin would had crashed by now if it was a centralized technology on: July 11, 2024, 12:49:10 AM
Indeed the decentralized nature of bitcoin is also what makes it accessible by anyone around the globe without regional restriction.

so I do agree with your view that in some way, the decentralized technology of bitcoin is what really give it the strength to just outperform other assets honestly, I guess that's why some people call it revolutionary  Grin.
but will still give the credit where its' due, there are authority/government that do the favour such as the el salvador government that really seems to be open to whole blockchain thing and cryptocurrency so it's not like government intervention is always bad, it depends. often time if the regulation is there to protect the crypto investor, it could also give good impression to crypto investment along the way strengthening the whole industry.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What does patience mean in trading? on: July 10, 2024, 06:29:49 AM
You need to be patient even when your futures or spot have unrealized PnL  Grin

I think it's pretty important as well to add into your list because the reason some people might just go all-in with all their capital disregarding common sense is because they become tilted that they just decide to go big or go home due to getting tired of losing.
Have seen plenty of people doing exactly that honestly, and it's always the main reason why some people after losing in trading don't come back again to make up for their losses.
Many people also getting so scared with their investment when they see their portfolio is all red, but i've learnt first hand that sometime just wait it out to comeback in price again do wonders.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How can you be profitable with airdrops? on: July 10, 2024, 06:03:32 AM
Most people who profit from airdrops do lots of airdrops continuously because they don't know which airdrops will pay out and turn into money later. Most of them get profits after several months or years of doing airdrops. However, because it is easy to do, they always do it. Additionally, there may be many airdrops that don't pay out or have poor payouts. However, some airdrops have paid above $50 or even above $100, although this is very rare.
It also sometime requires us to expend capital to follow airdrop, more specifically the ones that got retroactive airdrop that requires interaction, not to mention most of airdrops right now are point based it literally incentivizes spending of bigger capital and bigger fee so the small shrimp will get nothing.
so aside from the fact that people will try whatever airdrop potential there is, they also will risk their money doing the airdrop, added with the fact that airdrop hunter are really vulnerable to getting their money stolen due to contract breach or scam project.

so in a nutshell, it just like any other ways of making money, which is risking our own money hoping there will be great benefit.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Complexity of AltCoins to bitcoin. on: July 10, 2024, 05:49:31 AM
It depends heavily on what altcoin we are talking about though if it's a new project altcoin then sure enough they carried a lot more risk, the market still in price discovery therefore the price will be multiple folds more volatile compared to bitcoin but if it's just major altcoins ranked 5 and beyond, it's mostly following bitcoin pattern.

a brief glance towards chart above exactly reflect that ETH is quite similar in the chart movement compared to BTC, so really as lohng as we don't venture around investing in some shitcoin and instead stick with the best of the best 5 coins out there, we more or less gonna get the same result as holding BTC.
    29  Economy / Speculation / Re: I didn't expect to see it went below 56k on: July 09, 2024, 02:00:58 AM
Current market conditions are difficult to predict, for beginners like me it might be an advantage if there continues to be a decline in prices, I can buy at a slightly cheaper price. with the spare funds I have, but I'm not sure if the price drop will be less than $50k.
I think it will hugely depends on the future mt gox settlement of the distribution of credits, that will be the one that determine whether bitcoin gonna tank below $53k or not, because honestly speaking if it were to go down below that, i will be readying myself for the DCA.
the thing is, since government dumping has made quite the impact, people are hesitant to DCA or buy at current price, but at the same time, mt gox distribution which gonna takes 3 months, is distributed to individual, where each of them gonna make their choices, whether majority of them gonna dump, still yet to be seen, but knowing that they bought BTC at really low price, the chance of them dumping is quite high.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: German government having second thoughts. on: July 09, 2024, 01:41:46 AM
The fact that the transactions were known to the public and it was publicly available information where they sent BTC to 3 exchanges is like they want people to also dump. And along with this, there is also Mt.Gox distribution. It was like a coordinated dumping party, they ditched FTX though as if it could clean its reputation.

But this is close to the government dumping and pumping BTC. They know El Salvador is mining BTC like it's the most valuable mineral to find in a quarry but the German government is throwing them. But who benefits from this act by the way?

Their government definitely has a financial advisor, they should consult him before this selling. But I'm guess it's not up to the German government to hold these coins.

The transaction discovered by arkham intelligence which entire project focused on tracking the movement of bitcoin especially from the big whales, german government have massive amount of BTC will definitely catch their attention not to mention it's sending to exchange address.
regardless I agree, their government should've done better with selling through OTC instead of right on dumping in the exchange creating massive panic, they could've gotten better price too.
but unfortunately, the public already shaken by the news, so yeah the fear & greed index already at the level of fear.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Please share some dangers associated with Airdrops on: July 09, 2024, 12:50:08 AM
Just make sure to never install shady app from whatever airdrop game is telling you to do always do a thorough research. typically visiting a website of these airdrops won't harm you, it will only harm you when you start installing app or randomly approving interaction to the smart contract.
one of the thing that scammers looking for to steal from you is your asset and that by telling you to approve token spending specifically ERC20 to their contract address which then they can use to drain you of all the token you have.

best course of action for this is by simply keep using new address for whatever airdrop you're doing,
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 08, 2024, 08:17:42 AM
The pressure just appears to be almost much already and the season is yet to  start, they are even yet Start pre season. And everyone is almost fired up about their expectations from Bayern Munich. In as much as kompanys past record is vital in trying to judge and gauge possible expectations from him, we should also understand the chances of the odds been defiled and he becomes one of the best Munich has had after a long time, this is mostly possible. At this point everyone is just speculating and making a guess or better put a prediction as regards that which kompany will be able to achieve with Bayern Munich.
I think people are expecting a lot from Vincent Kompany as new coach of Bayern Munich even before season starts. His past results are important but may be he surprise everyone and become one of  best coaches Bayern has had in long time. Right now people are just guessing what Kompany will achieve with Bayern Munich. Football can be unpredictable and Kompany might prove people wrong. We will have to wait and see if he can meet the high expectations and make the team successful.
People are criticizing more than discussing the fact that Vincent Kompany will be the manager of Bayern Munich from next season. What everyone is saying is that this manager will not manage Bayern Munich very well. For the last few seasons we can see that Bayern Munich's team performance is not very good and the main reason behind this is that they have not been able to appoint a quality manager to their club so far.
The criticism makes sense. Bayern Munich signed Kompany as a new head coach. Look at the fact about how kompany has no good background as a coach, and he came from championship division club in england. It's hard to think positively about kompany's chance to succeed in bayern munich. People criticized bayern munich for their decision. Even some blamed this club.

Also, Bayern Munich always hired quality coaches. But, this is my first time to see them hire a coach without a strong background in coaching a big club like Bayern. This is a setback for the club.

Even I see it as a horrible decision by Bayern's officials, and it reduces Bayern's chance to win bundesliga title. And last, The coach they hired has little experience.

    33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: July 08, 2024, 07:56:59 AM
It seems, if Pep Guardiola leaves Manchester City it is very likely that the Premier League will become more interesting because the competition will be more competitive and will make other teams to win trophies.
I am pretty sure that Mikel Arteta would want to win it before Pep leaves, it would be more satisfying to beat Pep to the EPL title, if Pep leaves before another manager wins the EPL again, then it it somewhat shameful, the goal for other top managers in the Premier League is to beat Pep to the title.
If this real, and that's gonna be arteta's last chance to compete with pep in the upcoming season. Pep stabbed Arteta's club at the end of season twice. Arteta obviously sees Pep as the biggest obstacle to winning the PL trophy. The nuance will be very different if arteta win PL trophy without beating city in pep's era.

Having said that, i think Pep has one more year left on his contract, so that is a worry for Manchester City if he does not extend his contract, and it is likely that he won't, i don't think they have a replacement yet and if Guardiola leaves, they might lose their dominance on English football.
Manchestes can hand him a new contract, but does pep want it?. Pep has clearly stated in the past that he would like to coach the national team before he retires.

Pep Guardiola was a key figure in City's success, as they won won so many trophies. He helped City dominate the Premier League. They even broke Fergie's record at Manchester United too.

City may be nothing if it won't be coached by guardiola.

It surprises me to see teams with worse attackers, like England and France, able to make the semis. I never saw entertaining games from france and england. It was very weird to see germany left from euro 2024 earlier than what i expected in the past.

That's really unpredictable about france reached semi final without even an open play goal. It's kinda crazy you know. France and England have the worst attackers. But, their defenders saved them from leaving the competition early.

And, this is hwo germany is now watching clubs with worst attackers qualified for semis.

35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 08, 2024, 07:19:21 AM
Juventus has sold someone in whom Allegri believed very much and this player is Moise Kean who has moved to Fiorentina. He will receive 2.2 million euros per season and above all Juventus will receive 13 million. It seems like an excellent deal for Fiorentina but in my opinion the transfer will be beneficial also Juventus who with that money will be able to make other excellent purchases and above all lower the wage bill which seems crazy to me
A very good decision from juventus. Moises Kean is the worst attacker Juventus has ever owned. It's silly if Juventus keeps him for another season. Though he left Juventus for a very low price, it was worth it given his poor performance there.

Last season, kean performed so badly by playing 19 matches and he got zero goal. it's kinda weird to keep him for another season, and moises kean never make a good progress in juventus.

We can use the money from selling him to buy a quality striker. It is extra funds for juventus, and they can sign a better forwards. I'd be upset if juventus decides to keep him, but im happy by seeing him leave from old lady.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: July 08, 2024, 02:56:08 AM
Hey guys, how are your airdrops as of late?  You guys still staking your TIA and DYM tokens?  I still got 51 TIA staked and 100 DYM staked and all I get are airdrops worth less than 10 bucks!  Lolol.  Both acquired near all time highs.  Cheesy Cheesy  Wtf devs.  I was promised a stream of good airdrops til the end of 2025.  Grin  Wtf happened?  All I see are guys unstaking then selling while the seed investors were allowed to stake their locked tokens then selling the rewards.  It's looking like the whole thing is one big scam.

It's looking like airdrops are dead for now folks.  Everything is way overfarmed now.

You should be careful with staking TIA. there will be token unlock amounts to more than 16% and it's probably the reason why TIA dumped so hard I literally lost 50% of my asset holding TIA for airdrop staking  Grin

Whatever airdrop there is, if it requires tia staking, i don't think it will end well, already cut my lose with this one, and reposition.

currently most of the tia projects that requires tia staking already postponed to end of the year.

the price might bounce, but just going to give a head up.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron is now number 1 blockchain on: July 08, 2024, 02:35:32 AM
as I've seen most of people using TRON for the stablecoin transfer, it excels only in that, but TON come up with its free fee stablecoin sending and beat TRON in no time now TRON is doing the same thing that TON is doing  Grin.

literally this blockchain is just copying other blockchain's strategy and innovation, that's it. can't really say it's number 1 blockchain if what its doing is literally just copying LOL  Grin Grin.

so really nothing special about TRON not even deserve to be crowned as number 1 blockchain in my opinion.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can free games be gambling? on: July 08, 2024, 01:52:07 AM
If you don't place bet with real money I think its not gambling instead its just "playing game".

literally the adrenaline and entertainment coming from placing bet using money.

Do free games excite you as much as games that involve betting money?
free game that you mentioned will definitely less exciting, it's basically like just playing game which essence is killing time, so logically its not as entertaining as the game that requires placing bets. I mean the fact that you don't stake anything mean whether you lose or win doesn't really affect you therefore it produces less excitement.
    39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 07, 2024, 05:31:04 AM

I agree with you that Portugal players neglected Ronaldo in this match. Ronaldo did not get any support from midfielder or forward players in this match. In particular, I would say that if Rafael Leao had assisted Ronaldo properly, or if there had been a good understanding between Leao and Ronaldo, Portugal would have been able to score in this match.

The match was very competitive. Both teams tried to dominate the match. Neither team was able to score as the defenders of both teams played very well. However, the two main attractions of this match, Mbappe and Ronaldo, did not perform as well as we expected.

Cristiano Ronaldo is under a lot of criticism after his team's elimination from the Euro 2024. It seems that he has little to no impact on the team and some are pointing fingers on his captaincy too.

Check out the commentator's Murphy thoughts on Ronaldo's performance. Everyone believes that Ronaldo is being a burden on the team as he is not able to perform as he should.

    Quote
He told the BBC: “I’d be having conversations with the manager. It does seem ridiculous at times that he keeps Ronaldo on when he is having no impact.

“He [Goncalo Ramos] kind of must be thinking, what was he brought here for?” Murphy asked.

Murphy's statement makes sense. I was also concerned about how Mendes did not replace Ronaldo in the last game against France. Ronaldo did absolutely nothing. Mendes and Jota were at the bench. I though Mindes should give them a chance to play. But, it's absurd because of Mendes was always keeping Ronaldo to play.
Perhaps, Mendes may be doing it to honor Ronaldo. This was because  it's Ronaldo's last Euro with Portugal.

It's also very embarrassing to see how Ronaldo doesn't seem to realize if that damages his legacy more than failing to score or break new records.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it valid to invest ina New meme projects? on: July 07, 2024, 04:54:49 AM
Don't kill yourself, unless you are ready to lose your money, look at the project and worse the meme, I want to laugh at it, but you need to pay attention that you were unlucky before.

Success cannot be replicated, especially with the same narrative, it's just a ponzi scheme, you will lose your money, and first look at the liquidity of the token, I'm afraid when you want to sell you can't, I'm just going to warn you.

Unfortunately some people just really got influenced by these success story with meme coin never knowing that there's actually deeper things behind the scene than just luckily buying some meme coin and become millionaire over night, therefore many newbies spiraled into doing their worst mistake ever, going all in to these random meme coins.

speaking from my experience, meme coin is just pump and dump game by the small whales, they can't manipulate the bigger market like altcoins with venture and investors backing let alone BTC and ETH so they settle with micro cap meme coin, but the play is always these whales and insiders buying meme coin the first second contract goes live, pump it to make it climbs up leaderboard in platform like dexscreener and then once there are enough liquidity coming from greedy newbies they dump. it's always like that

there are reasons why so many meme coin chart always ended up looking like this, exactly because that scheme I mentioned above.
