How does someone reset a password or should I say recover a password from Deepbit?

Sounds like the bearings on the fan got dirt and dust. If you have any teflon grease for guns, or Mil-tech1, you can put a drop on them to keep them lubed up.

I been having trouble with one of my 6990s. I can only see three of the GPUs. I have crossed fired, etc. It keeps on saying to dual connect crossfire, but there is only one crossfire slots on each of the cards.
I have tried a bunch of stuff. Running Win 7 64 bit, with catalyst 11.4 and Latest SDK. Part of me wants to RMA it, but with coin prices so high, its tough to send it back. even with three GPUs, its running about 1.1 Ghash at 841 MHZ.

Seems like we got a ton of folks on the west coast and east coast. Where is the midwest?

like others said, campaign finance laws would make this hard to do. Ron Paul 2012, change you can believe in.

Hey Folks,
I want to setup a day were we all can meet, and talk bitcoin. We cannot let the east coast have all of the fun.
I was thinking Schaumburg, over by Woodfield. ITs right at Rt 53 and 90. The new starbucks in Streets of Woodfield is nice.
What are you all thinking? c-rock

You want to use SDK 2.2 for the 5870s.
Hope this helps. c-rock

Make sure you upgrade your PSU. I would recommend a 900Watt or higher PSU.
You don't need a 900W PSU. You need a high-quality PSU such as Seasonic X-series, 750W tops but 650W should do fine too. Anything which is not from a known brand is utter junk, and even within a brand some products are good and others not so much. you might be able to go with a smaller one, but your efficency will be lower, plus overclocking does use the juice more. I still stand by my recommendation. A bigger PSU will have better effiencies.

Using poclbm and was getting 358 on my first card, and 370s on the second. I could push them more, but they would crash. You need to just work it up to a level that is borderline crazy.

Ok,
Here is a update. It is windows, so I just reinstalled the OS.
Then did Catalst 11.4, and SDK 2.4.
Got the first card up.
Both GPUs are going.
When I installed the 2nd card. I did have to crossfire them. Windows would not load otherwise.
Its loaded up. I am getting between 335 and 347 Mhash from each GPU.
Now my 4th GPU is not kicked on, or seen by Windows.
The other three are huming along. I am using a analog monitor for my 2nd monitor. Could that be one reason the 4th GPU is not working?
When in doubt, reinstall. Hated to do it, since this is my work machine, but I dont want to let these cards go to waste.
These are somewhat louder than the 5870s. They do get toasty on stock. There is some heat comming out the back.
So far I love bitcoin. I do IT work for a living, but to me, this is like racing. We are racing against the clock.

I am running a Win7pro 64bit with two 5870s.
I had no probs running miners on both gpus. You have to have two miners running. Change the Device to =1 and =2 for each miner bat file.
I did not crossfire them. It does not matter for the 5870s. You can have them crossfired, or not. Same performance either way.
Make sure you upgrade your PSU. I would recommend a 900Watt or higher PSU.

Yes, the machine was working with two 5870 cards, with no problems. I threw in the 6990s, and blue screens and such.
I did crossfire them, and not.
When I did activate the crossfire on the catalyst, it did blue screen on me.
I am wondering if the drivers, older catalyst, and SDK 2.2 was the issue. I did remove them, but maybe something is stuck on there?>

now I am getting the ATI display driver stopped working, and has recovered.
I am suspecting maybe the 5870 driver is causing a conflict? Any ideas folks? I could use the help.
