The diff seems to be pretty high so if it's too hard don't bother. I tried to do it on my pc but I was just frying my gpu with no avail

I would have loved to fullfill your demand, but sadly difficulty is way higher than what I can manage. Maybe you have another prefix in mind ?

27  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is there a way for me to generate vanity addresses without the trust problem ? on: July 30, 2017, 11:32:50 AM
There is a solution on github https://github.com/samr7/vanitygen

It works good for 5 chars (1xxxxx......) but if you want a longer vanity address it takes to much time

Yeah, that is what I was already using, but I was missing the split-key part.

Your public key is invalid, I think you copied here your private key, no ?

How many custom characters are you willing to accept generate? Please specify for each case sensitive and insensitive.

Would be good to write this into the thread to avoid users asking for a vanity address with 10 custom characters.
Was about to comment this.

You should probably include in your ad what difficulty you can manage. Likely someone will be ignorant enough to ask that 10 character long vanity address.

Good luck though.

I think that until 20 000 000 000 difficulty is fine, or a bit more, or generally 6 characters case sensitive. If case unsensitive, it might be more.

Redrose vanity address generation service

To do so, it is simple :

1. Post a request here. The address must start with 1 and must follow these rules (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Base58Check_encoding#Base58_symbol_chart).
2. Go to https://www.bitaddress.org/ and then move your mouse or type on the keyboard in the field until reaching 100% and wait a second.
3. Download the page, verify it and run it on local mode. You must have the same public and private keys than the online version.
4. Click on "Vanity Wallet" under "Single Wallet", higlighted in white, and then click on the "Generate" next to "Generate your "Step1 Key Pair"".
5. Post here your public key and the desired prefix of your address. Keep the private key in a safe place. It will be needed in further steps after the partial key has been generated.
6. I will send you the partial private key. Once done, go back to bitaddress.org and click on "Vanity Wallet".
7. Head toward "Step 2 Calculate your vanity wallet". In the first blank, insert the private key you saved, in the second, the partial private key I send to you. Click then on "Calculate Vanity Wallet".
8. Import the Vanity Private Key (WIF) in your favourite wallet. You're done !

Service is now free for the 25 first request, proven they are not too hard for me to execute. Difficulty up to about 20 000 000 000 is acceptable, but still ask, I may go a bit more.

Thank to shorena for its thread [1] and OmegaStarScream for pointing it to me [2].

33  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Is there a way for me to generate vanity addresses without the trust problem ? on: July 27, 2017, 12:55:21 PM
Hello everyone. I would like to offer an address generation service, but I think there will be the problem of how the trust will be managed. Because one could genuinely be afraid of me being able to keep the private keys. This is not my intention, so I would to know if there is a way to bypass this. Thank you by advance.

Edit : by the way I am not sure if this is the right place. I am sorry for any inconveniance caused in this case.

At some moment I have been in the spreadsheet, but yesterday when I came, I was no longer in. Wondering why...

Because there are only 10 spots available, and unfortunately, not everyone can be in the campaign. It may have just taken @iluvbitcoins a few days to update the spreadsheet to reflect the changes.

There was 11 people in the campaign if I do remember correctly, and I was not the 11th. But anyway, I do not care...
36  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Ⓣ Ⓣ Ⓣ Torcoin Signature Campaign Ⓣ Ⓣ Ⓣ on: May 26, 2017, 01:25:51 PM
Would have been cool to know that I have been fired from the campaign... I wonder why by the way, we are on Thursday from what I know...

If you would have followed along the thread, you'd know that there were only 10 spots available. 7 were predetermined from the pre-existing campaign, and the 3 remaining spots were filled shortly thereafter.

The campaign will continue with only 10 people!

I'm going to list some people who have been with our campaign and I have picked them out so they can roll in automatically if they want to.

1. BtcForJoe
2. Vaccinus
3. olubams
4. Coin_trader
5. stiffbud
6. onnz43
7. BestWebCreator

We will have 3 free spots for newcomers (or more if some of our 7 doesn't re-enroll), post if you want to get in and I'll review your previous posts Smiley
You can apply if you're already a member of our campaign too, you'll compete for the 3 available spots.

Also @BTC campaigns have been paid out, TOR exclusive has been mostly sent
TheTorcoin showed up and disappeared a few minutes ago, so I'll wait for him to send out TOR to the last few Smiley
That's the spreadsheet from the last weeks round!

Actually payouts weren't made a day early, they were made at 0:00 May 22 forum time (Monday)

If TOR doesn't deposit to my wallet soon, in the evening (GTM+1) TOR will be purchased and payouts sent!
New rounds spreadsheet will be made soon.

3 free spots will be:
1. Hamukione
2.HatakeKakashi
3. bitbob82

At some moment I have been in the spreadsheet, but yesterday when I came, I was no longer in. Wondering why...
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are mini versions of GPU bad ideas ? on: May 25, 2017, 09:25:39 PM
Ok, so I can have the mini version of the RX 570 for 40€ less than the regular price, and in great quantities. So I am wondering if these models are to be avoided or not in term of heat. So, what do you think, wise idea or not to take some ?

If you do not overclock and know how to undervolt, these cards are good.

But the fact that I can not overclock comes from limitations from the GPU itself or from heat problems that will happen ?

Even though you would be somehow late since there already have been major increases recently, I would of course recommend you Ethereum. This is one of the few altcoins I trust entirely, and the sole one that I trust and that I am sure that it will rise in the future. My original call was 0,1BTC/ETH after the PoS transition, I am reevaluating to 0,15BTC/ETH, considering the past trend at short-term.
