22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: July 28, 2016, 06:35:30 AM

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: June 28, 2016, 02:05:54 AM
By the way for the IOTA's recovered from CH, there should be mandatory 10% withholding and donation to the Foundation for the Dev's efforts.

lol wait, so the ico is taking place privately over bitcointalk? not an official ico thru a website that has a calculator and ledger?

thats a joke right?

hahahahah...

..ahhhhhhahahhahaha thats the scammiest thing i have ever heard!

ICO already took place long ago. They're just waiting for release of the wallet.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL COUNTDOWN | MAINNET LIVE | 1700 BTC+ on: June 27, 2016, 08:02:04 PM
If I were the dev reading this crap I'd just leave you all hanging. Ya'll aren't helping anything by mocking anyone.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: June 27, 2016, 06:29:19 PM
IŽd be willing to buy 150,000,000,000 IOTAS for 1 BTC

please send me your offers. Escrow is mandatory...
i suggest you buy anything you can from cryptoknightt, because he is selling really cheap iotas, and even if he tries to scam, there will be bail out from the core team: so, that's a golden deal opportunity!

Stop giving uneducated advice. The reason dev can 'bail out' is because CH provided CFB his seed. No one knows CK's seed so no one can bail you out if you buy from CK and he scams you.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL COUNTDOWN | MAINNET LIVE | 1700 BTC+ on: June 27, 2016, 05:57:31 PM
There's a reason I said they need a senior dev. This is just group of pals from Carbonite.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: June 26, 2016, 07:00:27 PM
BTW this thread is turning into something completely different than the intended topic. I think you guys should create a separate thread if you want to talk about CH.

@CFB I highly recommend getting CK's seed if possible. I HOPE he's not a scammer but I feel he is.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MNM][LAUNCHED] MINEUM |x13| PoW STARTED on: June 25, 2016, 10:49:23 PM
If the rig is live why aren't we seeing it in the shareholder platform.?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: June 25, 2016, 08:38:00 PM
I agree by the way crypto knight is going to scam people.

Why? Because he didn't follow my suggestion to reveal his account?

I asked him to escrow and he hasn't responded ever since even though he's been online times after that AND he re-posted his sales ad after that.. So if he was actually interested in selling (i was willing to buy) then he would have responded after I asked for escrow. and seeing most his sales are straight sales, may God help them.

I don't doubt that after this he might initiate a few escrow trades just to make people feel safe.

Note: few days have went by, its not like I'm talking about 'immediate response'.

So the github says that in this release you can generate address. But when I go to "receive" and "generate address", it keeps generating.. How long is it supposed to take to generate an address? Or is that not working?

It depends on you CPU

at usually generating an address is going in less 1 min, but at first I have to sync with network! It could take few hours.

Cheers

I closed and reopened and regenerated the address and it did.

It generated the address and had the QR code, after that I closed my wallet and re-ran it, now in the Receive section the QR code / address isn't there but the I can still see it in history. Is this a bug or is that how its supposed to behave? The Receive section only has the "generate address button" not the QR / address anymore after restarting.

I asked in chat and CFB said thats how it is supposed to be. I think this is bad design:

1. This means Receive section is only for generating new address, it doesn't 'display' address after restarting. And there is no QR code visible after closing
2. The "History" section is only place you see the address it should technically be in receive.

Now sending IOTAs is disable but on the second stage will open. (have a look on first post)

you can receive to one address just ones after you must generate new address - this is security reason, not a bad design.

each transaction requires another address? By the way I see 2 addresses in my history. How can we know if an address is useable or not? I mean how do I know if the first address which generated in my history is usable for transaction?

It is working. It depends on your hw - e.g. mine took 2mins with i7 cpu

It needs POW for generation, that's why it's CPU intensive

In your case did the "generating address" part disappear? For me its still generating address but if I look in history and click 'addresses' then it shows something there and 25/06 in big numbers. But the receive section still says "generating address" and its been at least 10 minutes.

I'm on a Macbook Pro 2015.

Hmm, join our chat at http://chat.iotatoken.com and it'll be easier to help you out.

I did 5 mins ago., mine are the last posts on the iotatesting channel.

There are a lot of people still doing straightsales, and ignoring valuable advise to use escrow.

I agree by the way crypto knight is going to scam people.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | DISTRIBUTION OF RISE STARTING | MAINNET LIVE | 1700 BTC+ on: June 24, 2016, 11:32:02 PM
Update:

We've been manually inputting several btc worth of transactions that got stuck (unprocessed) at Coinbase.

Because of these inputs it will affect the balance slightly.

Atm we are just verifying everything in terms of balances and checking for registered but unconfirmed transactions that could cause a discrepency when we do the distribution.

There is an issue with the UI that we are aware of on the website in which transactions are visible or numbers are changing dramatically on profile page. Again this is only UI.

1: No coins are ever stored on rise.vision
2: All the transactions have always been viewable on the stats page

Once we are sure about balances we'll send them out, thanks for your patience in the meantime! Smiley

Are you going to correct the ICO price on Bittrex then because its set to the old one 1947 and that sends the wrong signal, we'll start below ICO if that were to happen. Please post the ICO price once all transactions are finalized.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | DISTRIBUTION OF RISE STARTING | MAINNET LIVE | 1700 BTC+ on: June 24, 2016, 11:16:08 PM
why is the balance still decreasing? at the price and rise balance my btc count is less than btc invested. So something is clearly wrong.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 24, 2016, 08:15:20 AM
Answering the BTC questions:
this is the official Waves multisig account: https://blockchain.info/address/35fe2CM2zbMeSfhRjpjW8ikTJcZj8NooFD
The withdrawals are processed there from Coinbase 2-3 escrow, according to the escrow terms.
5 k is withdrawn for buy support at exchanges (1 k is already spent on buy walls), and funding development for the foreseeable future.

Thats kind of amazing that you spent more than $600 K on buy wall and this thing still is crashing. Goes on to show how wise the decision to list on Bittrex was. Literally any coin that doesn't launch on Polo is a failed coin especially one that has 30K BTC, that one is bound to fail on bittrex because that place doesn't have any volume.

One can now only hope in the long term opportunity if you deliver what you promised on the fiat gateways.

First update

www.iotatoken.com has now been updated to the new version. This website introduce the vision of IOTA and the 'Economy of Things' as well as present the technology of the 'Tangle' to regular people who are not already informed. The website itself is still only 90% done as there are a few illustrations and tweaks left to be implemented, but we invite everyone to check it out Smiley

Is it just me or the website loads/runs very slow.
