21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain to me what DPOS is? on: May 09, 2015, 10:02:38 AM
DPOS seems to refer to completely two different things.

Firstly, there is BitShares' DPOS system which stands for "delegated proof of stake". This is the most common meaning of "DPOS" and is the one that most people probably think of and are referring to:

http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/DPOS_or_Delegated_Proof_of_Stake

Then there is also something called "dynamic POS" which OP mentioned. Dynamic proof of stake (also called DPOS) seems to be a variant of proof of stake used by the lesser known altcoins Positron and Isotope. I'm not sure how it differs from traditional POS but it looks like it involves stake rewards which change over time depending on which blocks are mined:

Interesting.

How many kinds of POS are there?

I just saw a coin in the altcoins mentioning vPOS...    Huh

Here is detailed article about DPOS.

Nice one!

Thanks bro  Smiley

ROFL... Grin You started a discussion about PoS, which has a lot of posts and now I'm not sure if your goal is really to receive explanations about how DPoS is working. Grin

LOL!
true, I want to know what the difference is between them.

There is POS, POS 2.0, DPOS and DPOS 2.0.

Why so many?
What is the difference?

Which is better?

As the title says, can someone explain to me what Dynamic POS is?

Thanks  Smiley
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain to me how PoS works? on: May 07, 2015, 11:03:56 AM
you should understand there are two types of pos coin, and there are totally different.
this is important!
One have annual interest such as ppc and BC.
One don't have annual interest such as NXT and Qora.
The annual interest is totally wrong and the amount coin is infinite, you should keep away from such coins.

OK, that sounds interesting.
Can you provide me with more info?

How does NXT and Qora work?
NXT and Qora don't have interest, they only earn transaction fee. It more like all bitcoin was mined and the miner will only earn  transaction fee.
Interest is totally wrong, the infinite amount coins make is worthless.

Interesting.
I will look into this two coins.
Thanks again.  Smiley

As the title says, how does one use bitsig.website to create a signature campaign?

You can contact marcotheminer. He owns this site and his profile link is- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=147773

I guess he was asking people to contact him if they want their signature campaign to be listed in bitsig.website and want to use that bot.
Juts contact him and he will be able to serve you better, though I think he might charge you, No idea though.

I don't really need to create anything, I was just curious because the site itself has no info.

Thanks anyway, now I know  Smiley

Hey guys,

I see a lot of hype about Proof of Stake coins.
Some say annual interest 5% and some say annual interest 50%.

Now, I know how PoW works (more or less),
but I don't understand how PoS or hybrid Pow+PoS works.

Can someone explain it to me?

many thanks  Cheesy

Hi guys,
I apologize, I was not onjline for a couple of days because something came up.
Which is the reason that I cannot buy this account immediately.

I had some family issues and had to sell some coins.
I am a little short right now but I can buy the account next week if the OP agrees.
If the OP doesn't want to wait, then he can sell it to someone else.

Once again I truly apologize.
I did not plan for this to happen - and to be honest I did not expect to win this auction  Shocked Shocked

After years of hiding, the creator of Bitcoin has finally been found.
Source: /DWTltC]Verified Link

'Bitcoin Marketplace bitFlyer’s Miho Sasaki sat down with Satoshi Nakamoto, the reclusive creator of Bitcoin, and asked him the questions that have been on everybody’s mind since the day he unleashed a fury of digital wrath on the world of finance with Bitcoin.

Miho
So, Mr. Nakamoto – Sorry to pry, but I have to ask the one question that I think is on everyone’s mind. Why is your hair blonde?

Satoshi Nakamoto
Oh, that. I tripped and fell head first into a vat of peroxide I was using to run some experiments. I actually kind of like the new look, sort of ‘mad genius chic’. It’s weird my goatee is still black though. Yeah.

Miho
Anyway, everybody’s been talking about the recent rash of Bitcoin thefts – Mt. Gox, Bitstamp, etc. You’re the creator of Bitcoin, how can we stop these things from happening?

Satoshi Nakamoto
Well look, these people didn't follow my advice. It’s easy to keep Bitcoin safe, you just have to store it in a cold wallet. That means to keep it in a wallet that’s completely disconnected from the internet.

Miho
Isn’t that what everybody’s been doing?

Satoshi Nakamoto
No, no, no. People keep over engineering the solution. My wallet’s never been hacked. Lemme just show it to you.,'

This article has been verified

That's funny, but not so much.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese team released software to mine Satoshi's coin on: May 05, 2015, 01:34:37 PM
We all know that Chinese aren't that far behind in terms of technology. In fact, theirs are advancing at a fast rate. Even though they hold the sufficient technology to crack or generate the same private keys to Satoshi's addresses, it still is a resource-consuming and time-consuming effort to recover those coins. SHA-256 is secure enough to be cracked by our technology for the next couple of centuries, and I doubt that even with the world's most advanced computers today, the algorithm would be cracked within a short span of time.

"Far behind"? !!!

LOL!
They are way ahead of everyone.
The truth is, you should consider yourselves lucky to say that YOU are not far behind the Chinese in technology.

The only thing Chinese good at is.... sucking dicks.... and copying shit (altho they call it themselves "engineering")

Dumbfuck, ever see any research paper in mathematics and science? Yeah..... notice the name on those.... Do you see any Ding Dong Fong Fi Yu?

Butt-hurt much?
What's your problem?
That the Chinese study from junior school what you studied in College? (if you have reached that level of education that is).

Did you buy that account by the way?
How much?
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: Milestone - i've earned 0.5 BTC on: May 04, 2015, 06:33:45 PM
I think this is the wrong section, the properly one is the 'Off topic' (in my honest opinion).

My topic will say.
yes! Today is a milestone that my earnings reached 0.5BTC today...  -> https://blockchain.info/address/15zLFJqBvfZ2F2hxKp1Ljx16vktUvoZpT1
Ufffff... I've started earning from this january but i was heared about BTC by some PTC websites at last november and started visiting some faucets then some games and now sig. Campaign. This is how my earnings reached 0.5BTC after some months.. Its really hard to earn this much bits for me.

Share how hard you're earn?

~Rude Boy

Congratulations. If you managed to earn this amount of bitcoins just by using faucets and participating in signature campaigns its great achievement. Too bad that bitcoin price is now very low.
So you would be better just buy some bitcoins for FIAT. I earn some peanuts from signature campaign as well. Simply as a hobby, so its not much.

It is a little amount for a lot of work, maybe he should find a sort of work or offer a service and ask to be paid with bitcoin. In this way I think he will 'earn' more & more bitcoin.

I will agree with this statement.
Me too have been trying to earn some coins and it's hard.
It takes a lot of time.
But hopefully it will be worth it in the end  Cheesy
37  Economy / Digital goods / Re: wtb hero member on: May 04, 2015, 06:02:27 PM
for 0.4btc you can't get a hero member account that is clean and legit
may be someone can sell you hacked account at this price, if you want a legit one then increase your budget 0.6 is minimum

Personally I would say start your offer at 1BTC
38  Other / Archival / Re: [WTB] bitcointalk accounts (bulk) on: May 04, 2015, 05:53:00 PM
a lot of good account coming in. i am spending 10btc for these account today. if you have bulk even better

all prices non negotiable

i have already bought some senior account so not buying any more senior, just jr member, member, full member
you are trying to buy 10 BTC worth of accounts? Why could you possibly need so many accounts? That is more accounts then I have ever owned at one time and more then anyone that I know has owned at once.

I also am doubting that you actually purchased any senior accounts considering that no passwords of senior accounts have changed since you created this thread.

Did you seriously go and check whether or not some sr. accounts had their passwords changed?  Wow Cool

I am sure he has his reasons, otherwise he wouldn't do it.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi: "You should never delete a wallet" on: May 04, 2015, 05:12:06 PM
i destroy every month somes 5-8 wallets ...  Roll Eyes
because, when an wallet is empty and when you manage fund internally ... keep a wallet is useless.

when you are free writer with a bitcoin signature donation ... yes, you MUST don't destroy the wallet !
because, article may survive a couple of decade (and pay you retirement).  Grin

What do you mean "manage fund internally"?
