21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: February 19, 2016, 03:36:15 AM
Very few coins revivals prove successful.  I do like the idea of country focused coins. Good luck with this one!

AEON (COIN LOGO) Version 12.1

Some more experimentation.

Lets all agree that this is a great logo and adopt it now.

Can we table the slogan debate until later (since that is the only thing that remains contentious)?
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ring Confidential Transactions or Soda Vending Machine? on: January 28, 2016, 03:15:53 AM
This entire thread is silly. Everyone with half a brain knows that Monero cryptography is infinitely superior to anything pieced together by Duffield.

Eventually the greater fools will stop buying and the DASH network will collapse.

If you want to compare legitimate cryptography to Ring Confidential Transactions focus on real competitors (using cryptography vetted by academics just like those who are vetting the work of Shen NOether from MRL) like Zerocash.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Boolberry vs Monero Chess Challenge and CryptoNote technical discussion on: January 17, 2016, 11:59:31 PM
Looks like we have different styles of play for this next move. With white I typically like control of the center with pawns and do not bring in majors too soon. The castle is an option that can wait for a defensive black move.

I would rather see some marketing efforts to encourage businesses to accept Boolberry than this:

Ask yourself how many potential users or businesses you have introduced to Monero today.

If the answer is 0 please log off bitcointalk and come back once your answer changes. YOU control the future of this currency. Do what needs to be done to advance adoption.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 29, 2015, 10:31:34 PM
I am not worried about inflation rate at the moment. I am concerning about user adoption rate over time. Artificial high exchange rate for bitcoin + low user base is the easiest way to kill a cryptocurrency

The solution to this is to tell more people about Monero. Some of you are probably doing this but I have a feeling some of you do nothing besides posting in this forum where everyone is already aware of Monero!

If you want Monero to become the greatest currency in the world do something every day to make sure it happens!

What type of businesses would you like to see accept Boolberry?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: October 29, 2015, 05:57:49 PM
Will you accept CryptoNote coins like Monero and Boolberry?

I think it is important for a decentralized prediction market to offer anonymous payments
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What is the hottest crypto right now in your opinion? on: October 06, 2015, 02:45:40 PM
Is it trading on the Ethereum blockchain yet?

Augur is not trading yet. The crowdsale just ended.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry Speculation on: October 06, 2015, 02:39:40 PM
What do you all think about Augur? I heard that despite running on the Ethereum platform, it will be currency agnostic. I would love to see Boolberry accepted.

Imagine making anonymous (or at least pseudo-anonymous) predictions with an anonymous currency.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What is the hottest crypto right now in your opinion? on: October 06, 2015, 02:31:51 PM
I think having some cryptonote coins there (e.g. monero, boolberry) could be useful.

Those are both great options. Can Augur be added to the poll please?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: October 06, 2015, 02:25:51 PM
Any predictions for when it will be released?
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: July 27, 2015, 02:43:43 AM
How is the project progressing?

Can someone please write a guide explaining how to use the view key?

This is a very important feature

We just made this announcement and wanted to share it here.

We've now gotten all augur contracts on the live Ethereum testnet. All function calls have been tested (albeit naively, with more testing ongoing) and confirmed working. Our code is now open source, lots of documentation & a UI will be coming soon.

This is very interesting. Please keep us posted on any updates
37  Economy / Economics / Re: [CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time on: May 05, 2015, 07:01:08 PM
Annualised inflation rate for bitcoin is now consistently less than 10%.

E.g, yesterday was 9.2% annualised.

I wish we knew exactly how much BTC is forever out of circulation due to private key loss, etc.
