21  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: DiabloMiner GPU Miner (LP, BFI_INT, async nw, multipool, 79xx GCN) on: March 17, 2012, 05:10:59 PM
Using absolute newest DiabloMiner? What hardware and what arguments?
I believe I'm using -v 1 -w 256  (on a 7970)

Those seem to be the correct arguments, so just make sure you're on the newest build. The loss of 25 mhash seems odd.

I need use -na on command line. Without -na i having 35 Mhash/S !!!!! using latest diablominer on 12.2pre with 7970 !!! LOL !

Adding -na to -v 1 -w 256 now gives me normal 677Mhash/S

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Reaper GPU Altcoin Miner Where to Find ? on: March 05, 2012, 05:52:43 PM

24  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Best miner for 7970 ? on: March 04, 2012, 02:11:04 PM
With -k diakgcn it's important to use -v 2 as performance for -v 1 is not good, but diablo seems faster currently ... but just try it again Smiley.

I try with -v 2 with diakgcn and maybe 5mhash faster. I not understand why so slow for me. I continue to use diablominer for now and keep look on cgminer project. Like how multi GPU support in cgminer

edit: I try -k diakgcn and -k diablo and performance near 5mhash difference. I think I maybe download Polish version of cgminer. I try English version and see if faster.
25  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Best miner for 7970 ? on: March 04, 2012, 12:54:24 AM
Current cgminer includes the diablo kernel so it should be identical.

Oops ! I not know this. Last version of CGMiner I check is several weeks old. Thank you !

edit: i download 2.3.1-2 and use -k diakgcn and still get better performance with Diablominer. Not sure why cgminer run slower for me. cgminer give me 40-50mhash less than Diablo on 7xxx series using 12.2pre
26  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Best miner for 7970 ? on: March 03, 2012, 10:52:21 PM
CGMiner is not better for 7xxx series. I test both Diablo and CGMiner on 7970 and 7950 and Diablo always faster.

30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cash out or keep bitcoins? on: March 01, 2012, 06:16:19 AM
I see Bitcoin as speculate investment. When mining reward cut in half soon, value go UP UP UP and comedy value go DOWN DOWN DOWN.

Like stock purchase. Keep GLD spider in stock account and sit on for while.

Maybe bitcoin go into toilet. Who know. I not think so.

If you no can afford to gamble, then not get into bitcoin.

32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dual 5970s killing PSU on: February 28, 2012, 05:39:38 AM
Look you maybe got bad power supply. I have 5970 and 6990 in one rig and draw 828watt on 1000w power supply. I not overvolt. Remember, 1000W listed not 1000W useable !!! If you overclock both card running 920mzh with overvolt, you playing with fire.

34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6970 on the way, do i need to upgrade the PSU? on: February 28, 2012, 02:34:27 AM
Play safe and go for at least 700+W power supply when using 6970 and higher in computer with modern processor.

Get away with maybe 650W but better to leave room.
