21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decentralized vs Centralized Gambling....Which do you prefer? on: March 26, 2024, 06:16:18 PM
I think decentralization is important and removes a lot of risk from a poor operator.  However, there are some times when you want to be able to blame an operator.  For example, if a decentralized casino gets hacked and all the funds stolen, you have no recourse at all.  However, if a centralized service gets hacked and all the funds stolen, you can still sue them or hope that they have the funds in reserve to be able to make everyone whole again.  Not saying that ever happens, but occasionally you see an exchange pay back hacked funds to users over time.  So there are advantages and disadvantages to both.

I even mentioned before that in the incident of hacking and scamming where the involved casino is running anonymously (decentralized), their users will seek assistance from the authorities which leaves the question of how the case can be filed if the operators are hidden. The investigation can't also be started since where it is supposed to be should start.

These decentralized gambling platforms can also run away smoothly without being tracked. I know there's a contract to be executed so the bets are always secured but there are lots of things to do to initiate the trick of scamming.

It's good to be decentralized but I can't apply that to my gambling-related activity.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New New on: March 26, 2024, 05:00:19 PM
Hi there to all of you. I'm new here, but I have a question about sports and betting. Is there a reliable website for soccer predictions? If yes, what is it called?

What do you mean by "reliable" when in fact we are talking about predictions?

Most sports review sites will surely have a good technical analysis and you can refer to those but still, that won't assure you that those predictions are close to being accurate, especially for sports like football/soccer. Analysis is made to give you the possible outcome of what will happen to the match.

, and I don't understand why Ashley Cole was listed as a Hall of Fame player.

Being part of the "Hall of Fame" does have criteria to be eligible. It won't come just by favoritism.

Therefore, Cole achieved those eligibilities that's why he became one.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 26, 2024, 04:31:45 PM
This is correct but what I don’t understand on your case is why do you still gamble if your mind is already exhausted and can’t play gambling anymore. Gambling main purpose is to provide entertainment while you are doing the opposite which is using it for exhaustion which will surely give you the worst result.

500$ is too big just to lose on a gambling session that you didn’t even enjoy. It’s like being rob but worse because you are just exhausted yourself on game that took away your money. I think you should start to learn how to use gambling properly.
It's possible, the mind is saying yes to gambling and the body is saying no to gambling, I can remember when I used to play Mario game on a Nintendo Switch, I would wake up in the middle of the night to play the game because it was all in my head, I mean the experience you know, but once I launch the game I couldn't play for long because my body was already tired, I had to shut it down and go back to sleep.

In the case of OP, I think let's say maybe he's tired but still knows what he's doing.

Like I said previously if exhaustion already dominates our whole body system, even your mind wants to do something, even how much you want to do something in your mind but your body won't cooperate anymore and automatically you will be shut down without realizing it.

It's crap to just blame being tired when someone losses to gambling. If ever OP got a win that night, I'm sure he would be like, "I'm not really tired".
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: March 26, 2024, 04:09:33 PM
I don't really believe this dude because such grace has not even worked for me although some of my physical trader friends sometimes says they have more customers anytime I comes around their trading centres and they love having me around.

Does this really happen a reality or it is just some sorts of mental reasoning fellas?

Just take it as a positive thing towards you that they think you are a lucky charm helping them when you are around.

If we take this thing into technical explanation, obviously there's no correlation between being you and their luck.

Coincidence or you have that lucky energy, doesn't matter anymore. Just be thankful that you are one of the person who they think bringing them luck and positive energy. Don't also mind that even you are like that, it doesn't work for you. You might not just realized but there are might good things too that happening but you are not just noticing it.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 26, 2024, 03:01:28 PM
You here speak like Jake is already a dead man Cheesy But the last time Mike has knocked out a professional boxer was more than 20 years ago. Of course in his weight class just a slight connection is enough to put to sleep unprepared person. But will he be able not to run out of stamina during whole fight? Jake isnt a stupid guy who will go straight with hands down against such a boxer. Of course he is going to make Mike tired by running away from him or clinching.

As if Mike Tyson will always go forward to chase Jake Paul.

You already said that stamina might be the issue for Tyson therefore, he will just stay in defensive mode the whole time and let Jake Paul do the attack. Even in his prime, that's how fighting in the Heavyweight class is always seen compared to Jake Paul that always in attack mode since he's comfortable at a much lower weight class.

But anyway, any technical analysis of this fight is totally useless for me. This is an exhibition fight, not a professional fight.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 26, 2024, 02:32:37 PM
Indirectly, gambling users will switch to other sports because sport is not only football, although I know this is just an illustration of gambling without a sports betting bookie, perhaps many parties will also be harmed, not only sports bookmakers but athletes too, especially since football is a sport. which is most interested in by the whole world because there are many matches available in leagues from several countries, to be honest it would be boring because I am not too interested in gambling on other sports betting let alone playing casino games.

And let's say that would happen, there is a thing called "adjustment".

Bettors will be used to gambling without those sports as time passes by and sooner, they will just do their usual gambling habit without involvement in sports betting since that was all gone. These bettors will still be gamblers and will just simply shift to other gambling types.

Gambling in general isn't possible be lose interest by many. The only way it could happen is if the whole world will ban gambling but that is impossible.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 26, 2024, 02:51:36 AM
Yes absolutely mate I'll experienced this before when I am in stage of anger and tired to I don't have the focus on may play and even though I lossing a lot of money still I played cause I don't have the focus cause anger will take over my mind so I realized that in gambling it's better to don't make a gamble when we are sad, anger, depressed and tired cause it will not make us a good profit in the end. So it's better to relax and make a focus before putting a bet. And once it will happen then for sure profits will waving.

I'm curious about what you have said. In that state of mind you have mentioned, how can you guys even start gambling at that moment?

As far as I know, and should be the supposed thing present in that gambling session, a person who is under the stage of anger and tired won't even bother to gamble even if addicted since it won't even pop out on their mind because of anger and being tired. The focus is not there as their mind is full of what's the source of their anger therefore, you guys supposedly shouldn't end up gambling that time.

Am I missing something on the story?
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 25, 2024, 10:02:18 PM
Generally yes, we can achieve fully anonymous gambling in crypto. Though of course, only if you gamble in decentralized gambling platforms.

I'm sure decentralized gambling platforms will grow in numbers as time goes by. Additionally, several centralized crypto-gambling platforms still don't force a mandatory KYC and most of them are popular crypto-gambling platforms.

Since regulations in crypto are becoming hard, platforms need to comply as that is a requirement for a legitimate business operation. It has pros and cons but having KYC shouldn't be a problem to comply with. There are lots of cases already where users got scammed by crypto platforms that the team is hiding behind it. These users are asking for help from authorities but where should the investigation start if the involved casino is anonymous?
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 25, 2024, 08:26:56 PM
Do you think gambling/casinos will lose it popularity since chunk number of their clients are from sport bookies section?

Remember way back during the prime of the COVID-19 pandemic? There are no sports activities at all, as in total zero.

What happened to gambling? It has even become more attractive to most people that even those who are not into gambling get in to kill boredom until they become regular gamblers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the gambling industry is one of the most performing industries in the whole world and the number of online gamblers is insanely growing in numbers even as we speak.

Gambling can lived even without sports betting. Not all gamblers are fans of sports betting.
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 25, 2024, 08:00:21 PM
Where I am confused is that why won't he stopped already? Those that are addicted to gambling that i knew get to this same level of losing everything and they make a U-turn in the end, what is keeping him imprisoned ? His mind? or he is already crazy? Or even a spiritual attack?

There would be no such thing as a gambling rehabilitation program or gambling-related problems if an addicted gambler could think properly.

Since these people can't think properly anymore, they don't know what's the best thing to do as they rely on gambling to solve anything.

We can blame that person for allowing themselves to be like that but in that critical and worst situation already that are stuck with, that's not important anymore as these people badly need help. It's the unfortunate reality that we can see anywhere in gambling.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 25, 2024, 07:38:02 PM
People come up with patterns trying to understand the algorithm of these games but from my experience these games have no pattern

Let them think like that until they realize that no working pattern can last a long time.

We can't blame them if they end up thinking like that if they are following a regular pattern, and that gives them winnings "for now". Later on, when that pattern isn't working anymore for them, I hope that will make them realize that it does not make sense to believe in such patterns, especially in a game of luck.

Crash games are not going to give you that extra source of income you are looking for.

Crash games are not gambling anymore if it's profitable. There's no profitable gambling game in a game of luck.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: March 25, 2024, 07:11:04 PM
He meant winning and losing are part of the game where great things and bad things happen.

Simple statement but the message is deep.

In other words, everyone should accept that in gambling, there are only 2 results, winning and losing.

However, I understand that for an average gambler, especially those who can't afford to withstand the effect of losing, it's hard to understand that statement. Rich gamblers on the other hand can just simply walk away with their losses and move on easily and that's the reason they can truly understand what gambling is all about.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 06:48:57 PM
Even for a person who is already addicted to gambling, once exhaustion dominates our whole system, even if you want to gamble, your body will automatically shutdown after a tiring day of work. Your eyes will close without noticing it and suddenly you are now in your dream.

I think OP should not blame his tiredness for the lose. In the story, he can even properly navigate to the platform and aware of what he's doing.

Either way, what matters is, in any kind of doings, gambling or not, of course, we need to have a relaxed mind.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disable and hide gambling videos on Youtube on: March 25, 2024, 06:19:05 PM
As far as I know, YouTube doesn't just throw ads and video recommendations everywhere and anywhere without following an algorithm.

Advertisements are mainly based on user's activity. The target advertisement should be shown to those users who are relatively watching related content as much as possible. In fact, even though I watched previously some gambling-related videos, still, I'm not getting any gambling-related advertisements or video recommendations about gambling in general. Maybe YouTube changed their terms about how gambling-related videos on their platform should show.

I admire OP's effort to put this guide but for me, it's not necessary if the only purpose is to stay away from gambling-related videos. Gambling-related content and stuff are everywhere, even just by walking simply at busy streets, which is far more spread out compared to the YouTube platform.
35  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 25, 2024, 05:59:23 PM
The answer typically is, that no one knows until the gambler reaches that stage of having children or generally, a family.

Some people will change their habits once they already established a family, especially if there are children, while on the other hand, some will just remain in their habit like nothing happened and no need for any adjustment.

Supposedly, maturity should be improved once we already have our responsibilities and if we talk about having our own family, but unfortunately others are immature. It's not that we need to stop gambling at all but there should be a good change once we make our own family.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: March 20, 2024, 11:30:11 PM
I suggest not making that as a big deal. Who the hell cares for what others think about our winnings or earnings? Why should we adjust? As long as we know to ourselves that we are not stepping on other people, it's just a normal approach for anyone to be happy with achievement. If these winners want to show their victories either to brag or just simply because they are happy, let them do what they want.

It's not our fault if someone got into a worse situation just because they found out how much we earned, how much we won etc. In the first place, where should we put ourselves? I'm not the type of person who brags about something, either achievement, money-related things, etc. But I can't control if that will be exposed to the public because I have friends who know me personally and also have their respective social circles.

know that many friends and acquaintances get depressed when they find out how much you have earned.

Blame themselves for having that kind of feeling. Again, it's not our fault and we don't need to adjust for them.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 20, 2024, 11:13:30 PM
Have anyone ever had confidence in any match that he was willing to be huge amounts to back up the confidence in a match that features his club. A friend of mine recently shocked me with how much passion and confidence he had in his club, man u vs liverpool  that happened on Sunday I guess was a very hard match cause Liverpool was already stomping 0:2 to man United but my friend was telling that man United won't lose the match, so I told him that if he has much confidence that he should stake life, shocking to me he went on and staked 5k on man United win to qualify which was about 7 odds at that time, and yeah it turned out right for him. Can any one do this or was it a foolish move?

I was one of the bettors (I think others on the NBA thread also did this) who risked betting on the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the NBA Championship way back in the 2016 NBA Finals after the team was down 3-1. It's nearly impossible to bounce back from that situation especially in the NBA Finals and against the prime Golden State Warriors which has the biggest record they did on that season, 73 wins and 9 losses only. But in the end, they won and I won't forget that moment.

Isn't it a foolish move? Isn't it because I'm a fan of that team? No. As a bettor, I just want to take advantage of the odds since betting on the Warriors doesn't give you any more profits and everyone was betting for the Warriors then I have no choice but to take on the Cavaliers. Aside from that, I know the Cavaliers can still pull the win and won't give up. I also added some bets for them after they won Game 5 and were downed by 3-2.

And the rest is history...
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 20, 2024, 11:03:49 PM
The most annoying part of the story that OP narrated is the lack of empathy or sympathy for the young chap who lost his life. Adin Ross and his team failed to know that the deceased might have become addicted by visiting his channel. He also failed to know that the youth who took his own life has friends and family members who are mourning the loss of a loved one. This is a clear indication that people only care about money and nothing else.

I agree that it's annoying, and somehow I feel bad that the streamer doesn't show any sympathy to that guy, at least, knowing the person is one of his avid fans and following him. But generally, it's not the streamer's fault that it happened. We don't know the real story behind it and maybe the person does have lots of problems already aside from gambling addiction.

I also don't like streamers but what a bullshit if we allow ourselves to be influenced by these streamers. It should be obvious from the start that these streamers, especially those who are gambling, only care for money. Why become weak and be under these streamers? We should be the ones to control our decisions, not them.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Internet connectivity - Gambling wins/losses on: March 18, 2024, 07:47:52 PM
I will say this worked in my favour but would have been a different feeling for me if the game played. Even though it didn't play, when I couldn't stake the game because of internet connectivity I reasoned what the potential winning would do for me and wasn't happy. So, things can work in our favour sometimes and against our favour other times. It is proper to embrace every situation.

In some cases, when a problem in the internet occurs while a bettor is currently active on betting, can be realized later on as a blessing and a good thing it happened. If the internet didn't crash at the point they are about to hit that BET button, they might end up wrecking the whole bankroll.

Generally, the response of bettors depends on the match result that they are supposed to place a bet.

Internet crashes while betting might angered others because of the missed opportunity in case of a win but on the other hand, it also saved others from losing their money, at least. But in today's internet status, it's a rare case now for the internet to suddenly crash a bit while actively betting.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does pragmatic play bonus buy really worth it? on: March 18, 2024, 07:21:29 PM
The same question also applies as well to other game providers.

Being worth it or not can only be seen in the result. It's not about being the "Pragmatic Play" but users purchasing the buy feature should understand and realize that the purpose of buying it is to skip the manual betting and wait for long for the bonus feature to come.

P.S. I don't like to play PP games on Stake because of the high minimum bet amount. I usually play PP games on local online fiat casinos because of the user-friendly minimum bet amount. I just wonder what's the basis for why the minimum bet amount is different on other gambling sites on the same game.
