I still did not understand what you meant in this post?
If you don't understand anything in this post, sorry for I can't say much! Because it's quite clear that you have problems in understanding things.
That's if you will ever come back to this thread again!

This shows us the "evil" behind centralized authority and how these people "judge" whole countries, based on the actions of a smaller portion of that country. I have traveled to Nigeria before and I can tell you that not all people in that country are scammers and thieves and some other e-Currencies like M-Pesa is doing very well there.  Wink

A side note, Bitcoin is not a religion, it is just a currency.  Tongue  When you start talking about Bitcoin as a religion, people might think it is some kind of cult money.  Roll Eyes
Thanks for your input, I hope you enjoyed your stay during your time of of visit to Nigeria?

My question is, what are the duty of high ranked members?

there is no "duty" here for anyone. people can choose to be kind enough to others to spread the knowledge they have the best way they can. that is all. there is no obligations in my opinion. people are here to discuss, learn, earn, and increase their overall understanding of bitcoin and sometimes cryptocurrencies in general. they can help keep the forum clean by reporting shitposts, reporting account farmers,... as they are already doing in meta board. but there still isn't any obligations, they are doing it because they want a better forum they enjoy participating in.

Should I agree with this fact of yours or not?  No I don't agree with you! Reason being that

1) Anybody can report a shitposts to mod, you don't have to be a high ranked member to this.

2) if this been the case, why don't we just embrace this fact, and forget about the ranking system! Which I know you will never key into.

3) I think we need to face the fact! If there's no obligations in ranking members higher above others, then I see no need for it!
If you as a high rank member can't help me out when I need a help then your rank is useless to me, please don't get me wrong, I'm not referring to you #Pursuer.

These are just general overview

One thing I've noticed among the high ranked members is, Each time a newbie (not referring to those only that has newbie tag to their profile)  creates a post that is contradicting to the beliefs, most high ranked members always critise instead correcting or teaching.

I personally hate those topics that start with "we all know that [blank]...." and [blank] is usually a false statement or an FUD they are trying to say is valid before they continue with making a conclusion based on that.
not to mention that most of these topics by newbies are obvious shitposts.
I understand this fact more!
I can clearly remember way back when I joined the forum, MOD always send pm when I shitpost is made, and know it's possible continue with that because the forum has been over populated.

My question is, what are the duty of high ranked members?

70% of the total number of bitcointalk users, I'm not talking about the newbies, are all in this forum for one goal, to make money, yes I love arguments you can bring it on, in as mush as it will yield good results at the end.

Must persons are operating in this forum based on the orientation they had while the where introduced to the forum, but I don't blame them. I blame the high rank members!

What do we I'm actually want in this forum, is it objections, suggestions or opinion? Not undermining that both terms has their factors.

A brief summary of what these terms stands for.

Opinion

Opinions are subjective beliefs of either one person or a group of people and these need not be true.
Opinions are the result of emotion or interpretation of facts. An opinion can be supported by an argument, which can create two opposing opinions from the same set of facts. Opinions can be a result of a person's perspective, understanding, particular feelings, beliefs, and desires.

Suggestion

Suggestion is considered as the act of influencing another person. In psychology, suggestion is the process by which one person guides the thoughts, feelings and behavior of another person.

The terms opinion and suggestion are confusing for many people, but the fact is that we really need to know what we need in this forum. These two terms refer to two different things, although it sounds like they are similar to each other. Opinion is a belief of a person, while suggesting is the process of implying something you want a person to do or believe.

Objections

Online dictionary definition:
Objection is a reason or argument offered in disagreement, opposition, refusal, or disapproval. the act of objecting, opposing, or disputing

I await for inputs

I have a question for you OP, since you are from Nigeria. I'm curious how popular Bitcoin is in your country since here in the West we're used to hearing how poor the country is and seeing people riding in overcrowded, dusty, old busses and using old phones.

The fact is that, Bad news spreadd easily and easily heard by people than the good news.

Nigerians using Old phones!

The fact is that An average Nigerian man will Rather use a mobile phone worth $100 than going for an iPhone of $1000, Will the iPhone put food in his table? $1000 is enough for someone to start a good business with in Nigeria.

Talking about using good or old busses, it's a matter of choice, which ever one you choose depends on what you can afford, they all have their prices.

How many people around you have the means to use cryptocurrencies daily (a decent phone with a good internet connection and how many are genuinely interested in cryptocurrencies, not only as a means of earning some easy money?

The awareness and acceptance of cryptocurrency In Nigeria is nothing to be compared to with western World, yes Nigeria is still lagging behind, but we're optimist when it comes to embracing new technology, like that of the blockchain.

And talking about internet connectivity, every country has it own problem.

In past years, the utilization of e-currency, making online  transactions, doing shopping and lots more has always been limited to some setting countries.

Some countries are like outcast when it comes to Using e-currently for online transactions, which is very common among the Africa continent, and a practical example is Nigeria.

I'm using Nigeria as a case study because this is where I'm from and I know how it feels to be rejected by some financial institutions, especially when they are the only hope you have, eg PayPal!

I have worked myself out in past years searching for how to make money on the internet, I've bought e-books, registered on website that requires you to pay some amount of money before you can start using their platform. But all these turn out to be a total waste of time and resources, because all the money made from these platforms I was never able to withdraw them, because PayPal will never accept my country. Everyday I pray for miracle to happen that will make PayPal to accept my country. But paypal never did! And I never gave up.

Not until the birth of Blockchain/Crypto! PayPal is scared of Crypto, it CEO and all other financial institutions both offline and online will try every means to label Crypto a scam and illegal, But the fact is that, Crypto is here to stay, Crypto is a  game changer, it an eye opener, I can do whatever I  want to do online now with help of blockchain without thinking twice!

God finally answered my prayers!

The full potential of blockchain is yet to be discovered, I urge every Crypto enthusiasts to be optimistic in their quest for utilizing the full potential of this great technology that we have in our disposal.

God blessed every Crypto evangelist.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Requirements of running an ICO project on: October 06, 2018, 05:58:00 PM

I have been doing some research regarding the launch of ICO project. I understand that every country has it own regulations ICO projects, but I can't think of any country in Africa that has any regulations governing ICO projects, e.g Nigeria.

my company is on the edge of launching it ICO project, but I'm kind of skeptical as we don't want to go against any governmental rules/regulations relating to Crypto/ICO projects. like I said, in our country there's no governmental regulations governing ICO companies/project.

I want to know if there's any constitution governing ICO projects outside the country in which the ICO is going to conducted

Thanks and best regards

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man Traveled The World For One Year On 1 BTC on: October 05, 2018, 07:06:38 PM
If this is true, then I have some questions to ask, what year did this man start his quest? Was it year 2017? If yes, as I could remember, the highest raise of btc last year was $20k and its was traded for this price for just few hours.

By the time he started his quest, I will take 1BTC price to be $18k.
Now my question is this, how did him managed to travel around these 18 countries, book hotels, and pay for services  with $18k?
