You expect to see ICN mooning when it is not even on Poloniex?
Start spamming them here in request of adding ICONOMI (ICN) to the site!
https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

This will be daily bumped until this is achieved.

what happens if blockchain gets hacked and I have an extremely strong password? does the hacker get the hash or the plaintext password?
is there ANY way he could get the plaintext one?
is there any way he doesn't even need the password if he hacks the service and could just steal the btc anyways?
I suppose you mean blockchain.info, what would happen if it gets hacked? That is difficult to know but if a hacker get its hands on your private keys then you are done for, that is why is discouraged in the forum to have an online wallet and instead it is recommended to have your own desktop wallet.

Sorry was referring to blockchain.info Smiley

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Need a little explanation regarding reading stock chart on: December 20, 2016, 09:54:39 PM
24 hours ago, price was $0.252702
Right now price is $0.323517

$0.323517 - $0.252702 = $0.070815

So, the price increased $0.057492

increase / start price = % increase
$0.070815 / $0.252702 = 28.02% increase during the past 24 hours.

Price changes constantly.  So % changes constantly.

What price did you buy at?

Do math to see how much % return you got.

Subtract price you buy at from current price.
Divide result by the price you buy at.
Result is your percent earned.
yea but look at at, it's now at 15% but the line only goes up so how is it possible?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Need a little explanation regarding reading stock chart on: December 20, 2016, 08:46:07 PM
Okay so I'm invested in ICONOMI and following it here: https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/iconomi/

as you can see, atm it is on 24.39%, earlier it was on 39% but if you look at the actual progress of the line, it didn't withdraw by much so how are they saying it had gone from 39% to 24.3%?

or am I misreading it and the line represents something else?

anyways, help me understand this please

and then some long string that looks like a hash

38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: no faith in bitcoin (ddos) on: July 03, 2016, 05:35:24 PM
This thread is just an example of pure nonsense and ignorance.

Why would I trust a coin that drops in value massively when sites selling it are getting DDoSed?
Here's the first mistake that is clearly visible. The statement "would I trust" has no correlation to a trust-less system which is Bitcoin. The value of Bitcoin in fiat is trivial. It can be more-or-less easily manipulated until there are some ETF's and similar institutions should stabilize the price a bit.

this means it has no credibility at all, people can choke it with DDoS and then short it over and over again
Bullshit. This logic is very flawed. Nothing has any "credibility" in this view since practically everything can be taken down with DDoS.

uh, then just dont trust. it is your right!
There is no kind of 'trust' at all!

can you DDoS gold? silver?
no. your argument is invalid
