21  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI frontend for poclbm released - looking for testers on: March 08, 2011, 04:47:47 AM
Does anyone know how to limit how much the Miner uses on my GTX 260?

EDIT: Found out I put "-w ##" in extra flags. (I wanted to keep my temps down, I average 61C and generating 30Mhashes)

Looks like it rising now. I'm curious how long it will take to reach over $2.

I'm not a expert in financial dadada, but isn't gold harder to sell? With BTC we can actually use it as currency to buy things, who accepts gold anymore for bread and milk? (I know BTC isn't accepted either, but its getting there)

I doubt BTC will ever replace an actual currency, I like to buy food myself.  Smiley

I saw the drop and bought more. Wish I would have waited a little longer though, and would have saved a bit more.  Cheesy

I am wondering if Mr. Gox is doing this on purpose for protection? How this protects him I don't know. But ThePlanet/ their resellers have good networks I believe.

Why is this in the development category?
I click Project Dev by mistake.  Grin

Does anyone know why MtGox goes offline alot though? I'm sure its goes off/on, but it takes time for people like me to get the updated DNS info.

I confirm that google's DNS servers are returning results different from normal DNS servers, for mtgox.com. They are probably disregard TTL and use some other caching approach.

Anyway, who in his right mind would use their DNS servers?

I do not see why google would want to run these free DNS servers other than in order to "organise information" for NSA.

I can agree with that.  Smiley I switched to them a while back because I was too inpatient for my personal websites DNS to update.

I'm using Google's DNS servers. For the past 1.5 days I haven't been able to access MtGox even after clearing all system/browser cach. I'm curious if Google is doing something.

EDIT: Wrong category - can this be moved to Technical?

It took me 6 confirmations.
