I did that, but then I get:
dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libssl.1.0.0.dylib
I'm running 10.7.4

Not sure what you mean by "using" macports. I just installed it, but it still didn't work. Do I need to build minerd from source?

I'm getting this error on OS X: dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libidn.11.dylib Referenced from: /Users/longdongsilver/./minerd Reason: image not found Trace/BPT trap: 5

Keep in mind that it takes a lot of work/time to earn a significant amount with most of the survey sites. You might be better off just buying your first coins.

It's still very easy to mine LTC on low spec CPU's.
I'll second that, especially if you have a lab full of computers that sit idle 95% of the time.

Well, if you can install/run bitcoind on your own server, you can do the JSON queries there with no limit and (probably) faster performance.
PM me with more detail about what you're actually trying to do and why (transaction wise, I don't need to know your business idea). I may have another solution to your problem.

Sorry, that i've not answered earlier.
But i found out, that that blockchain.info API is limited to 800 Requests in 8 Hours. That's properly enough for the beginning of my project but could become a problem in the future, so i would not like to relay on it.
So i'm still looking for another solution.
Bitcoin-abe looks nice to, but right now i'm limited to a webserver, so i could not run this on my server.
Do you have physical access to your server? Or can you at least have software installed?

I'm pretty sure he wanted exactly what I showed him on a sample page on my site, but I haven't heard back from him even though he logged in today.

It might help make things more interesting if you provided instant feedback of the user's win/lose status.
You could do something like determine the result before the user submits (like when the first page loads) and show a SHA256 hash code of the results to the user on the first screen, then show the decoded results after they submit.
Like this:
Result: de3bdfcc16b1e51c629bc6f4e446a756be14f35efeca8b5dd96ef1611fad9b53
The on the next screen, the decoded string: 23,32 : sorry, your numbers did not match. random-crap-&^%&^%#$(*&(@#&(@)E@#^%
|
|
|
Anyone want to bet on how high the total will go?
|
|
|
Are the random numbers picked right when the user submits the form?

It's a bit inconvenient that you can't announce a trade when you're a newbie though, are there any alternatives, like a newbie trade topic...
You can just start a new thread in the Newbies section. Everyone will see it there.

A special thanks goes out to Spend Bitcoins for agreeing to help out by providing unique Bitcoin addresses for donations to charities that do not currently accept Bitcoin. (Thanks Jeremy!) Winners, and everyone else, will be able to verify their donation (50% of the prize pool) was sent to the correct address. So, if you don't see your favorite charity listed at BitcoinsForCharity.org, you will still be able to donate to them! You just need to tell me the name of the charity. Lots more tickets left in the current drawing!

I think the Square (125x125) and Button (117x30) formats are easier to work with, for me.
I'll second that.
