Okay. Got qt4-mac from MacPorts installed. Had to reboot and now qmake runs.
Now running "make -f Makefile", this time it didn't make a XCode project.
"ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture i386 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) make: *** [Bitcoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Bitcoin-Qt] Error 1"

I ran python /Developer/Tools/uninstall-qt.py and then sudo port uninstall qt4-mac
Going to reinstall qt4-mac from MacPorts so then I'll have only one version. Downloaded it from the site, and then Macports. Then I plan to run qmake again and see if I get a different result with only MacPorts QT.

Hey.
I'm trying to compile the QT Client on Mac. I ran "qmake bitcoin-qt.pro "USE_UPNP=-" -r" and it created an xCode project. I opened the xCode project and when I try to compile it in xCode it says "'build.h' file not found" for src/version.cpp:33:14. Any idea why?

High: $147.00000 at MT Gox Right now... Wow. Surprised.

Maybe the cold storage or some wallet got compromise, and they are moving it to a new wallet... Or maybe the owners of the site are pretending they were hacked, then cash out then go live on an island somewhere... Hard to tell really. Guess time will tell. I didn't use Instawallet but I have a feeling lots of newbies used it since its convenience.

The recent price increase could be related to people purchasing coins to get ready for ASIC purchases. Some people want to wait until shipments start to make their order. When they do, it could trigger a downward trend.
Sounds very possible.

What exactly is the relationship between ASICs being shipped and the price? Just asking, cuz I see none.
3600BTC per day (or a couple of hundred more) don't have that much of an impact on the market.
some people who invested in asics might want to regain their fiat invested and thus sell their first coins. So? Even if ALL coins generated per day are sold immediately that's only 3600 (+ a couple due to rising hashrate), daily market volume on the other hand is 80k-100k, so the total market-impact is only 4-5%, pretty unlikely to cause a crash if you ask me. That's nice to know. Nice simple way to explain it. 4-5% seems like a small variable, so not much change then.

Do you think Bitcoin will crash again as ASIC equipment such as the Avalons, Butterfly Labs and others start to ship? I'm not sure really, part of me thinks it will and part of me thinks it will stay about the same. Wish I had a crystal ball to know, hehe. Anyways, what are your opinions on this?

Would be interesting. Maybe a little card similar to a prepaid TracFone phone card, with the public key and private key under a scratch off area, but these cards would have to be put up in a display case with a lock, to prevent people from just scratching them off in store and stealing the money since normal prepaid cards get activated on check out, so they are useless till checkout but Bitcoin would have no clue if the card was checked out or not. So you would only have the cashier give you the card at checkout, like how stores keep cigarettes locked up behind glass.
This is really not an issue seeing as you could send the bitcoins to the card at the checkout (so the cards on the shelf have a 0 balance until you scan them and X bitcoins get sent to the card address) This is also great for preventing major thefts. For example a store could have millions of dollars worth of bitcoin cash/cards onsite, without actually have a single dollars worth of bitcoins onsite. The actual digital bitcoins could be controlled by someone at a remote location, so even if the robbers demanded the cashier load up the cash cards, they wouldn't be able to. Why didn't I think of that. Sending the coins to the card on checkout, similar to activation. Have the UPC Code look up the address and amount for that card from the database and send the money to the card when scanned and checked out. Maybe say if the card was $5, add $5 worth of Bitcoins to it at the current exchange rate. Hmm, maybe we should turn this into a business. These little cards can sit next to the iTune's and FarmVille cards. Anyone want to partnerup?

Oh, and the Casascius Physical Bitcoins might be interesting in stores like maybe coin collector shops, but not sure if the store would have any legal issues.

Congrats to the winners Sadly I didn't win, but no big deal, was free to enter anyways. Really cool and sparked my interest in 3D printing some more.

Can you give me information on the number of visitors the site gets per day?
Not much. Never really marketed. Was kinda hoping "If I build it, they will come.". but so far this month I got 9 unique visitors, 82.98% returning. Looking at Google Analytics.

So you are only selling the domain names, facebook and twitter accounts?
Yes and logo.
