I get this output when running the git you linked to with my optimal scrypt settings that worked with 3.2.1, then it immediately crashes:

Done, you should have it now. Looked at the log and I think it's crashing when compiling the scrypt bitstreams...

Crazyearner, make sure you don't have any of the "zadig" USB drivers installed, cgminer needs them, but bfgminer doesn't.

I'm baffled as to why bfgminer keeps crashing on this system. Why is it looking for USB devices when I'm trying to mine scrypt?

I used WeBisect session "purelithiumNov29" to try and bisect the problem. This is what it gave me once I bisected all I could:

Code:
There are only 'skip'ped commits left to test.

We cannot bisect more!

The build I got before that message didn't have the error I described in my quoted message, but It did have another issue of crashing almost immediately on connecting to a pool. Not sure how I could bisect that one... As of right now 3.2.1 is the only functional build for my machine.

How are GPUs detected now? How do I pass specific settings per device via command flags? (thread-concurrency, gpu-engine, etc)

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

I tried deleting the config files, but it didn't work.

it's in the various Readme files... Identify flashes the LED on an Erupter USB stick, so you know what device is which. The Select processor one I'm not sure, look in the readme file.

Those of us who were testing the PPC pool aren't being credited the shares that were submitted before the problem was fixed and it was added to the multipool? So I wasted my hashes for about 24 hours on that coin?

WeBisect keeps timing out and not refreshing once the new build is ready. I don't have time now. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Back to 3.2.1 for me.
Are you giving it enough time? It needs to actually build each commit Wink

Like I said before, 5-10 minutes should be enough.

WeBisect keeps timing out and not refreshing once the new build is ready. I don't have time now. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Back to 3.2.1 for me.

So we'll be credited all the shares submitted?

webisect failed. The first build it gave me was an old version(3.1.1) even though I told it to work from 3.2.1, and the commandline flags i tried giving, weren't accepted. I tried skipping the build, but no new build was supplied(after waiting 5-10 min for it to auto refresh.

This is what happens when I run bfgminer using the flags passed by MultiMiner. This rig mines fine on 3.2.1, but for some reason 3.3.0+ won't work. crossposted in the MultiMiner thread, as well.

bfgminer crashing again, using latest MultiMiner and latest bfgminer (3.4.0) have to downgrade to 3.2.1, as that is the only version that works on this rig(mixed scrypt and sha256)
