I am of a firm belief "Satoshi" is a group of developers.
I've seen this statement a few times now and agree that there was a group. But I think Satoshi is the code name of one of the original developers in the group, not the group itself.

"the power supply is antec 650W, there's no problem with PSU."
You need a higher wattage supply. When you run one that close to the limit, you highly increase the amount noise on the power rails. The component failure on this board is probably related to that.

Was able to panic withdraw by going to the above login link. Thx.

I predict a 25% loss in value by this time tomorrow evening.
Wonder what would happen if they disable those customer accounts right now...

Is this crash due to gox or the sr ddos?
Silk Road cashouts. With the newest coin dumps, I'd have to up my estimate to $30-$40 million dollars a month flowing through their coffers.

Price will go up if SR is down hopefully. Less coins to be sold.
No dumb drug dealers cashing in by putting in market orders causing selloffs. That's one of my theories, anyways.

Need to cash out some Mail-to-Jail.com donations to fund someone's commissary account in jail. Willing to trade @ current Mt.Gox ask quote.
I load the code before you get your Bitcoins and I'm not fucking around with escrow. I have several trade references.

I don't think $15-$20 million a month in commerce is small change. But compared to the people buying and holding now, yes...it is a smaller chunk then what it used to be.

He was my first here also. Though I've already had experience with him on another forum to know he's just an argumentative windbag.

Damnit, I wish other places would jump on board like "NEWEGG,Tigerdirect, microcenter". We need a large authorized dealer hardware store to accept bitcoin. ugh.
Good news to hear that WU might jump on board, but we need more places too, not these raggedy website shops like bitcoin store.
![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) There's something you want to buy that isn't here: https://www.bitcoinstore.com/ ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) It might be there, but good luck finding it. Or finding it in stock. I understand that it's in "beta" and all. But when you try and help a friend find a laptop, and you both just give up and order it elsewhere...

Maybe he doesn't spend them because his ex-wife from Hell would steal his money through increased child support payments.

hardware upgrade obviously couldn't solve their problem...
Between bad software and DDoS? Yep.

You should be aware that while trading has been suspended, the rest of the site still works. So there is no real way they can reverse the transactions, since money has already been withdrawn from those trades.
|
|
|
Why? Everyone is responsible for the trades they place.
Yes, but an exchange with insufficient hardware to handle trades in just unacceptable. It's not like people haven't been warned the with 3 times it's happened before in the last few weeks.
