Buy looking at the number of bitcoin clients connected to the IRC channel you'd get a rough estimate.

I'll look in to open sourcing... Maybe if I receive enough donations.
How about I set a some donation goals. I can only think of two, considering I have AdMob ads in place.

1. If I get a total of 10 btc I'll remove the ads.
2. At 20 btc I'll opensource it.

I don't believe it can be done. Unless you has access to their wallet.dat

The important part is not loosing your wallet.dat file. It contains all you private keys for the public/private key transaction. As long as you have the private key to the public key to which the bitcoin was sent you will have them eventually. The receiving party doesn't have to have the bitcoin client running at the moment of the transaction. Because when you start the client it will is a sense "Catch up" on previous transactions.  Hope this answers your question.

Hello I've been working on a side project for about 3 weeks now. It's an android app that allows you to trade bitcoin on MtGox using their trade api. Description follows...

With Bitcoin Trader you can buy and sell bitcoin with your MtGox Exchange account. Now you can trade anywhere you want. As long as you have your android phone you won't miss out on any trade opportunities.

* Buy bitcoins
* Sell bitcoins
* View orders
* Cancel orders
* View account history

MtGox account required.

New features are being constantly being implemented, have a question or suggestion send us an email.

It's not much of a description but then again, I'm a coder not a publicist.

Note to Moderator - I'm locked to the 'newbies' section otherwise I would have posted this under general discussion.
