I know the same could have been said about Bitcoin a year ago, but why but any actual money into Litecoin? Bitcoin has a much higher chance of a long-term, successful future. LTC has been doing really good so far compared to the other coins. Besides bitcoin. I actually get more profit doing litecoin mining instead of bitcoin mining. Might be because I don't pay for electricity though. So it seems like litecoin will become neck and neck to bitcoin if it can survive just a bit longer. |

I'm going to keep mining bitcoins, or maybe move to litecoin. Right now I get more profit with litecoin than I do with bitcoin. So I might just move to litecoin now..

I personally think most of these ASICs for bitcoin are scams.. But if it was true I think Avalon's 3rd batch would beat the BFL. BFL seems like it would be the most scammy. Hiding stuff sketchy people,sketchy works..

I tried overclocking on cgminer, it still locks me at 900 engine. But I can underclock the core to 450.

I used to be able to get 935/450 on this card.. I installed the new update, and then reverted it back to the update I had before and now I can't pass the limit of 900/600. I have tried to enable unofficial overclocking, but that did not work.
Does anyone know a fix or why it is doing this?
Anything about it helps.

ASICs, own risk, stupid to mine on GPUs, yadda yadda and so on. Anyway... What you're looking for is the cheapest mobo that can take two of the cards. I think they use pcie, so go with that. I'm fairly certain that cards designed to run on pcie 2 can run on 1 as well, and the decreased bandwidth doesn't matter too much to you. once you've picked out your mobo, grab a gig or two that fits into it, and the cheapest processor that fits into the socket on the mobo. That's... basically it. You'll want a power supply that can supply enough power for everything (there's a power supply calculator online), and a tower to house this all in. Try http://pcpartpicker.com/ to see what can be bought new, and then look for old computers with compatible ports that people are getting rid of or throwing away. Reusing old hardware will make your power usage higher, but initial investment cheaper. Thanks for the help. |

I am thinking of getting like 4-6 AMD 5870s. But I have no idea on what other hardware I need.. (mobo, power supply, cpu, ram, etc..)
If you guys could tell me what would work all together, please tell me. I could not find anywhere were I can find all the hardware.
Also It is just a dedicated one so I would like it to be the cheapest stuff ever.

I dont sell much on ebay so maybe this is a dumb question, but how is this a scam? I also dont mean to sound like a dick here. I understand how this is annoying in the wasted time but as long as you wait on payment before shipping what does the buyer/scammer gain by doing this?

How could he possibly answer that given that you gave so little information about your setup. Try giving him/us more details. What pool? What version of Cgminer? What is your hardware setup? ... Note: if you are on p2pool there was a recent hard fork and issues should stabilize over time. BtcGuild, latest version and I tried with my 1 HD Radeon 6670 And how many accepts? What percentage is your rejects? I got about 800 accepts and 40-60 stales |
