You are right but when it comes to PrimeDice or some other similar games it is not about greed but rather hope for finally reaching the minimum payout threshold which can only be achieved (in my experience) when you deposit some funds around that threshold - never could reach it using free satoshis provided by PD - I was close but all in all ended with nothing - just a waste of time... It is rather not the player to gain profit but the house... and what one wins at times - even large amounts - is just dust compared to profits of the house...

It is not just my bad experience - I really enjoyed playing PrimeDice and I still play it from time to time but do not expect anything unreal. I just mean that winning is extremely difficult so it's better not to gamble OR - as you pointed - gamble responsively (rather hard to achieve )

I tried my luck in PrimeDice... I deposited 0.01 BTC hoping to double it but I ended up with 0 very soon. When I played using free faucet option - I could earn up to 25x the original amount! Since the original was like 200 satoshis I could not even withdraw 5000 satoshis that I won so it again finished at 0... No matter how many times I tried, it always ended with just nothing... I have read about strategies on how to gamble on PrimeDice and I think these strategies are mostly a matter of coincidence and luck rather than a REAL strategy - none of them worked for me...
My tip on gambling? Do not gamble!
