21  Economy / Lending / Re: Lending ETH *Limited* Short terms. on: April 17, 2018, 03:10:22 AM
How much are you looking for? I may possibly front it.

Yeah and then you'll get scammed for sure.

Why would anyone give any form of loan to an account that has no trust here on the forum. There is no guarantee that the loan will be repaid.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Predictions 2018/2019 on: April 17, 2018, 03:07:33 AM
What are your predictions for 2018?

From the main ones, I personally think that this year Ethereum will reach a good top. I would like to its price around $2,500-3000. Bitcoin...I hope it will go up again so at least people that bought in a rush in Nov/Dec. 2017 can return their money. Hopefully Bitcoin will do better and reach a million. Grin It would be nice to see litecoin closer to $500, or even higher.

Talking about ICO's, which one do you think will get the most X's? And which ones are a of time and money?
It seems that you are an optimist. Although I think that ETH will continue to rise, there may be some difficulties in 2018. Now it is almost May.

I agree with ETH, since it has a lot more potential due to its more robust smart contracts features.
23  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: "MyEtherscan" = avoid scam ICO. on: April 16, 2018, 10:22:23 PM
its not a project. thats a tool for ICO

"MyEtherscan" is because  it work on base of Etherscan

If that is the case, it still does not justify the reason why it must be called the same name. Even with your explanation, I still don't get the reason why it must use the same name what it does is to cause confusion. Even forks that came out of known coins were not called its name rather a nomenclature is added to establish the identity. Also you need to give a proper explanation on what this is about cos its ambiguous and what makes it different from the normal etherscan that we all know is also key.

I entirely agree with olubams. With the name similarity, it could add confusion to some users as to what etherscan or myetherscan is.

Also, I would like to add that you shouldn't use the official etherscan logo on your app. Simply it would mean a breach of copy right issues.
BTW, don't get us wrong; the idea is great. Good luck!

They are just riding on the name of Etherscan obviously. No matter what excuse they make. There is no denying this, since they deliberately used the name and even the logo. Probably to gain interest or probably confusion so people will notice their project.

It is indeed good, but the marketing strategy is extremely poor.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is more powerful as an idea whose time has come on: April 16, 2018, 10:19:31 PM
True. Does anyone remember Nikola Tesla? He had so much great ideas at the time about electricity. He even had a concept for wireless transfer of electricity from great distances. However, during the time, he didn't have the means or technology to be able to product what he needed. He is arguably even the father of modern technology by the way. If he was able to produce those technologies he thought of before then he would have been rich. Time, indeed is needed for a great idea. There are good ides, but it must be executed properly to succeed.
25  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cigarettes Online on: April 16, 2018, 10:10:56 PM
I never knew Cigarettes were a big hit online for those people that wants to save on killing themselves. It's like a "Mega Sale on death sticks" kind of thing. But I agree to the guy who's from asia. It's damn cheap here for smokers. A pack is like $2 - $3. Not really a smoker, I just see them on my local convenience stores around the place.
26  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: April 16, 2018, 09:49:40 PM
Need some expert or real advice on how I can earn bitcoin. thanks

You're saying you're in crypto for one year. What are you doing - mining, trading, buying and staking? Why doesn't it work for you?
I think, he is still reading and posting and reading again. Sometimes, we need some friends to assist us and give us some advice specially here in crypto community, this is too complicated and lot of scammers ( add hackers ). Thinking that the author of this thread is doing his usual job in reality, which is good in other way than doing nothing here in bitcointalk.org.

You're probably right. But even in that case one year is supposed to be enough for anyone to start asking more specific questions (at least) Smiley
The only possible reason which comes to my mind is that the person who is there in the world o crypto currency since last one year is only there physically but is not present there mentally and that he is not that much interested in that as he should be.

You need to learn so many things at time when you are there in the world of crypto currency and that learning of more things can only help you in having more earnings.
One year time is already quite a long time to consider and you would probably learn up the things on here on crypto. Its quite impossible for a person didnt able to progress on his own inspite on the duration hes staying up to this forum itself. Earning bitcoin do have lots of ways it would really vary or depend on how you would apply it. Doesnt really need any advice but somehow its much better to see some guides if you do find out that it doesnt work for you.Just try and try.

At the time OP created this thread, BTC is already expensive. It is quite hard already to earn a bitcoin at those times. If you started way earlier though, it would have been quite easier. But, if it is based on 1 year before OP created the thread, the price is like 20 times lower than today. So if OP was not yet even able to earn a BTC at those times, maybe this industry is not for him.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Massive loss 40% underwater on: April 16, 2018, 09:06:10 PM
Got in at the height of Jan this year and all holdings lost more than half from the previous peak.

Very frustrated and was afraid that crypto will be zeroed out, so sold at massive loss more than 50%+ realized loss

After sold last week, all coins came back up 10-20%, even more frustrated, what to do?

You should regroup and change your strategy that is all. Probably you are quite new to trading, and usually when coins pump extremely hard like what happened back in December of 2017, you should have expected the price to go down pretty low as well. If the up swing is hard then expect a down swing as hard. But it is not the usual case, there are times that the upswing is pretty high and the down swing doesn't go below half. You really have to do you analysis on the events happening with crypto.
28  Economy / Lending / Re: Paypal loans Service on: April 16, 2018, 07:39:45 PM
Im offering a paypal micro loan Service where i give out loans through paypal. I take 10% fees on top. Repayment in 0-7 days only. At the moment i am starting small with 5 usd paypal and then i will increase my payouts if this Service gets popular. I will need collateral of 120% more of the loan requested and will not deal with newbies.

One, paypal is irreversible, so you could end up scamming someone or someone could end up scamming you. Two, no one is going to give you collateral because you could end up running off with it, and escrow may not accept it due to the extremely high risk.

*reversible

Yeah, I agree. Even if you go first and send the paypal funds, what is stopping you from reversing the transaction and running off with collateral, right?
29  Economy / Lending / Re: Lending ETH *Limited* Short terms. on: April 16, 2018, 08:27:07 AM
One day you were asking for a loan without collateral and now you are giving out the loan? That escalated quickly.

Warning anyone who would get OP's service to use an escrow.
30  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone who can write and post a pro ANN thread on: April 16, 2018, 08:24:38 AM
Do it on your own. You can ask someone to create the ANN thread for you, but no one in their right mind will post it for you due to risk of a lot of scam ICOs that the poster might get linked to. Best to do is just pay for a Copper membership so you can post your ANN thread.
31  Economy / Lending / Re: [2BTC Max] Loan Service on: April 16, 2018, 01:56:33 AM
I don't know about the stipulation on term #1. Would the same apply to other alt coins? Also isn't Og supposed to contact me to confirm you contacted him?

Term #1 is usual in lending, as crypto is volatile and it is for the protection of the lender. It applies to all alts.

Sorry I fell asleep last night as it was late and didn't get to the reply of OG after I posted his reply, I'll tell him to do a group message over PM.

He'll send us the details of the escrow.

Edit: Please post your BTC address and the TX of the XMR transfer.
32  Economy / Lending / Re: [2BTC Max] Loan Service on: April 15, 2018, 04:54:43 PM
Still awaiting an escrow provider....

PM'ed OgNasty. He is asking 1XMR fee for the service.

Just some terms for this loan, if you agree to that.

1. If the price goes down below 105% of the amount due, then the collateral is forfeited. I leave it up to you to check if the price is going down, and you may top it up so it goes back at least to 120% of the amount due only if it did not go below 105%.
2. Cost for escrow, movement to and from escrow, any other cost to move the collateral shall be borne by you.
3. Send 116XMR (115XMR for collateral + 1XMR for escrow)
33  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: LIFETIME Account of Netflix, Spotify, VPN and more at low cost! on: April 15, 2018, 01:57:04 PM
To all those interested in these hacked accounts,

lifetime = when the owner or the service itself realizes that his account is being used by another

after that then it's goodbye account.

Exactly, and I am saying that from experience unfortunately  Undecided

People should stop buying these hacked accounts. It's not worth it. You are better off paying for the service or find someone that would share with you the subscription. They might be cheap, but it will not last for long.
34  Economy / Services / Re: What is refund service? on: April 15, 2018, 01:53:52 PM
Usually done through Social Engineering (SE), it doesn't 100% and sometimes they fail. But if they do succeed, it is actually against the law since they are actually stealing. What they do is that they complain that the item did not arrive or is broken or whatever excuse to allow them to get a replacement. They then say they have already returned the item, but probably got lost in the mail system. Something like that.

I'd say if you get their service, then you are actually an accomplice in a felony.

36  Economy / Lending / Re: [2BTC Max] Loan Service on: April 15, 2018, 05:58:59 AM
Requesting an escrow provider for the transaction.

We can do small amounts if you'd like, if you don't trust me. I would definitely want to remove the escrow part since it makes liquidations slow.

If you still will like an escrow, I will find one, but it will take a bit of a while, since escrows usually take some time to even respond. Also, any fees for the use of escrow (escrow fee, miner's fee, whatever fee) will be paid by you.
37  Economy / Lending / Re: BTCJam was a HUGE scam and nobody is talking about it, why? on: April 14, 2018, 11:50:17 PM
The concept of the site was good and had great intent to provide loans to people who need it. The problem came out when, the abusers came on to the site. Since things are automated in their system, the abusers were able to find ways to appear legit, but in truth they weren't. So in short, there were users that just registered there with the sole intent of just defaulting.

39  Economy / Services / Re: Flat Earth Certificate! on: April 12, 2018, 11:48:17 PM
I thought the idea of Flat Earth was already ridiculous! Now there is a certificate for it. It doesn't stop the stupidity there, it's on the block chain as well.

I made this for all of you and all you flat earthers in the world.

Wake up you dumb human!!!
40  Economy / Lending / Re: Personal Loan Request - 0.085 BTC on: April 12, 2018, 11:03:55 PM
I have a 20 th/s SHA256 account on hashflare, I would say you are wrong in your estimates. When I started with mine I was earning like 5mBTC/day less 2mBTC as fees. That was in August. Now it is just actually generating generating 0.4mBTC a day excluding the fees!  Shocked

The revenue forecast is merely a guide, it will 100% not be the end result! It doesn't even calculate for the fees by the way.

If you only have 6.91 th/s SHA256 and compare it to my 20 th/s SHA256 that would mean you are just generating 0.138mBTC per day. Assuming you bought that hashing power just today, that means you will get 33.12mBTC for the whole 8 months and that is assuming that there is not change in difficulty! Say your other contracts (scrypt + ETH) also generates the same 33.12mBTC for the remainder of the lifetime of the contract, that only is 66.12mBTC!

So, that only goes to show that your statement "should pay out in combined BTC/ETH roughly 3 times the requested loan amount over the course of the remaining life." It won't even payout the loan amount. :/
