Im in!
Username: Valkir
Working to add 2 compac to the race. I need to make my hub work. If anyone have some advice. I can see the stick in device manager but when I start cgminer, he does see them.
I'm assuming that cgminer does not see them? Anyway, try cgminer.exe --usb-dump 0 and see what cgminer reports. .earl

Ahhh! User vh and their 2Pac is catching up to me for the most shares submitted! It's only a matter of time now.
Fortunately for me it will take 6.25 years to catch me at the current rates, but still I'm keeping my eye on you.

@ erlmo (1):
Please check your setup asap!
More then 43GH/s (stable at one day) with one Gekko is absolutely impossible!
Cheating or a wrong setup?
Please note: Cheating is not tolerated and will be disqualified!
Gekkorun and Antrun is a Fun-Run!
Cheers, andY
It's just a fun run, right? Cheating is a pretty strong word. Yes, I've combined both miners into one entry (earlmo 1), hence the 43 GH/s. If that's a problem, let me know, or just disqualify me. I'm just trying to get a decent bestever value for it, as it has been so unlucky (zOU 5 too). Now, what is being reported with earlmo 2 is not my doing. Even though it is offline, the funrun is still reporting its old bestshare. You might want to look into that. .earl

Wow, I was happy to see a 12M share for one of my miners. zOU 2 absolutely crushed it!
It would be nice to see somebody get a block though.

I don't know why, but it seems zOU 4 is luckier than the other zOU units. Like my earlmo 2 gets bigger numbers than earlmo 1. Yeah, probably not as easy to notice with only two miners. I've had my eye on zOU 4 for a while now.
I'm sure that I'm just reading things into the numbers that aren't there, but it keeps my interest up.

Yes! Finally it happened! Rank Racer Frequency Shares Bestshare Bestever : : 25 andymanone G1 125.00 MHz 37.600.750 355.142 49.412.661 26 minibit g1 150.00 MHz 21.621.280 334.405 319.718.914 27 earlmo 1 393.75 MHz 61.831.000 270.412 53.942.602 28 kipper01 8 Miner offline 4.741.107 189.595 10.169.362 29 minibit g4 Miner offline 1.347.674 0 8.451.580
I have managed to have the highest frequency, greatest number of shares and yet have the lowest current bestshare of any active miner. Take that statistics! .earl [edit] And just like that, I bounce up to mid-pack. I just wanted to show that stats aren't the whole story--luck (both good and bad) plays a large part in mining. Don't give up on the sticks, they are capable of finding a block (with some luck).

Hey, you know what would be really cool? Knowing when my 0.0009 BTC worth of Ethereum will be actually paid out.
Maybe I'm just reading the FAQ wrong?
"Unexchanged amounts that are lower than 0.002 BTC, but still higher than 0.0001 BTC, are not processed regularly, but are included in dust cleaning process, issued once per week, usually every Sunday at 13:00 UTC."
And no, this is not unexchanged or immature Ethereum either. It's been like a month since it was.
It's not the value, it's the fact that it messes up my balance indicators. Either pay it out or get rid of it. I tried mining Ethereum on Nicehash as a test--the results of which have long since been determined.
Thanks,
.earl
edit: oh yeah, I've been paid out for the other algorithms many times since--it's not a min 0.004 BTC thing.

The closest I have ever been. Just missing a factor 19.
Just one zero (and some change) shy. Very nice. Still waiting for my first billion. .earl

I hope you cool it well at this speed I'm more curious about the difficulty setting of 19. What's up with that? I use a value 1000 with my two (total of 600 WU/min). .earl

Are the Orange and Yellow/Orange and Black wires in the first picture soldered directly to your sticks? Are those monitoring your vCore?
Another question, why kind of thermal interface material are you using? Thanks for posting the pics, that is a great idea to put these inside the PC case.
Yes, those wires are for vcore readings. They don't actually connect to the motherboard though, just my voltmeter. I still had some thermal paste (cooler master and arctic silver) left over from when I built my pc. Those bitmain chips are tiny compared to a cpu, you don't need much. I was also thinking of getting one of those fan controllers/displays that fit in your drive bay to monitor temp and fan speed, or one with a custom display that would also display the hash rate and best share, but those will have to wait until one of our 'lottery stickets' comes through. .earl

the other one that i am going to put on was on a pentium 75 or 133. slightly bulkier than stock. The heatsink/fan i took off an AMD is too bulky to be efficient. It wouldn't even touch the chip and its like 3x the size of these other 2
Yeah, so I did this today as well: The fan is 12V, but I've got it wired to 5V and cannot hear it at all. The sticks are currently at 337.5 Mhz, vcore of 0.74V and can almost feel warmth in the heat sink. Won't go much higher, as my input is down to 4.90V already. It fits in my PC where the cat won't try sleeping on it--nice to have options. .earl

Man alive these things do not like USB3 ports--nothing but "no valid hashes for over 10 secs, attempting to reset" garbage. No issues with USB2. The 'y' cables are on the slow boat so nothing exciting for a while.
.earl
I have 6 running at freq 240 on USB3 (Orico A3H10 hub) with Y cables, waiting on "usb doctor" to tune them more. I'm wondering if it has to do with my USB3 ports not belonging to a hub, but being part of the PC. Possibly the PC is expecting signaling to put the port into charge mode, whereas the hub is dumb and just does it regardless .earl

and I do think once we find earlmo we will be closed
It looks like you mis-spelled earlmostick. Postie came bearing gifts. Man alive these things do not like USB3 ports--nothing but "no valid hashes for over 10 secs, attempting to reset" garbage. No issues with USB2. The 'y' cables are on the slow boat so nothing exciting for a while. .earl

I may have missed someone.
That would be me. .earl
