I have added a A821 and A841 to my mining efforts here on Kano pool. I may have to throttle back on the less profitable miners, the S7LNs, when the summer months become too warm At the moment though I have about 70THash to add to Kano Pool.
I tried that cold wet place for a while, and though it was a regular input the input was itself cold and wet. I felt like a very little cog in a very large machine.
I decided to go back to Kano Pool where things are not as regular and my little cog is not so overwhelmed by the small efficient machine that is Kano Pool and its community.
Bows to Kano San, thank you for persevering in your pool running and promoting efforts. Bows to the Kano Pool community, thank you for being the fun loving warm bunch you are.

For anyone looking to order from Bitmain. Especially us Kano guys!
I just placed an order now.
They are now accepting BCH, BTC and LTC as payment.
First I have seen this.
Interesting. With the almost over USA tax season and The great underground empire taking bitcoin for miners again, I expect the price of bitcoin to start upward. Lets watch and see, ... Mine On!

I am getting a 503 error when trying to connect to slushpool. My mobile slushpool app is also not connecting. I am still getting block notices on my phone, but I can not look up my current stats.
Is anyone else having this issue?
The website seems to be working now.

Heh those block fees must be getting low - pool payout for 505456 confirmed early again (about 15mins ago) I'm surprised it took this long for someone to pick it up Yes, just noticed it was confirmed in my core wallet. Nice to get a payout a little ahead of schedule. MINE ON!

Got all excited when I saw a pending payout amount in my bitcoin wallet. I thought we had hit a block. Checked the kano.is website and no block, payment was just unconfirmed in the mempool. Sigh, oh well.
MINE ON!

Does a drop in btc price usually mean a drop in hash power for btc and therefore a lower difficulty in the near future?
zzzzz I've been wondering the same thing today. I've also wondered if dives in prices like these might scare off the fainter of heart and maybe drop some hardware costs.. .lol IIRC, it takes about 2 weeks for the bitcoin difficulty to adjust itself. In that time period a lot can happen in bitcoin price.

Just found out something interesting for folks in the USA. Not sure if it applies to other countries.
I was looking to buy another couple of power supplies from the great underground empire of poo. The last time I tried they accepted bitcoin as payment. They now only accept a US Wire Transfer or that other crypto currency that will not be named.
I also noted their shipping was almost $100 via DHL.
The total cost from the great underground empire of poo would have been over $300 USD.
I checked and NewEgg is selling the same power supplies for about $120 and free shipping, AND NewEgg takes payment in bitcoin.
Clarification, each power supply was about $120, so it would be about $240 for two, about a $60 savings and as well as better ethical ground.
For my own part, I will support companies that support bitcoin.
Hope the info helps

I am guessing it tickled some peoples fancy. I have had a titcoin wallet for some time. It just appealed to me. I also have quite a few other crypto currency wallets. The other one that was doing crazy things was the UNIT crypto currency. It was up to about 80 cents a Unit, with sometimes going over $1 per UNIT. The problem with UNIT is the wallet is incredibly slow on my machine. The TITCOIN wallet is quick, and by quick, I mean it quickly synchronized with the TITCOIN blockchain. It took about a week for my UNIT wallet to sync. Overall I think miners are looking for currencies they can quickly mine, and speculators are looking for fluctuating coins they can make a quick profit on. The speculators give the miners someone to sell too and the speculators then can sell to other speculators.

I just got a call from our natural gas supplier wanting to do a "safety check" on our gas meter. I am guessing they are wondering why I am using so much less natural gas this season. Hopefully they will understand I am currently heating with HASHPOWER. LOL.

As twitchy as antminers are about moisture I think water cooling or putting them anywhere near floor level is probably a bad thing. Now copper plates and copper heat tubes going to a tank for a hashfull hot water heater might do the trick. The problem is copper is fairy expensive now a days.

Isn't bitpay what newegg uses? They gave me some kind of BS message about my wallet not being configured correctly, when I chose to send a 26 dollar tran fee rather than whatever larger tran fee the wallet had setup for. The transaction still went through, they just whined about it. If I recall correctly credit cards charge about a 4% fee for transactions. I think anything over 2% for bitcoin it too large. I also notice they hide the percentage so it is not easy to see. I examine the sending of a payment when the wallet finally gives me what it plans to use as a tran fee and check it against the dollar value of bitcoin at the time. I hate smoke and mirrors when it comes to my money.
