Large swathes of the community are weak and gullible, which is a terrible combination with the tech at hand.
This right here. You see it so much in the lending and gambling sections of this forum. The scam accusation section isn't pretty either. One of my big beefs is the confirmation times, because sometimes they've been ridiculously long. Everything else is just fine by me.

Atari, you know you're ruining your account here with all the red, right? Is your sig campaign even going to pay you?
|
|
|
Is it time to dump the sig yet? I'd hate to say bye to the campaign, but I'm not promoting scams either. And right now I'm not sure what's what.

I think I read it and echoed this in another thread. It would be very nice to invest in some of these exchanges, even if they were only listed as OTC stocks. I think if they're properly regulated and can actually produce financial statements (gl with that one), they could go public. Unfortunately, the ones we've seen like Mt. Gox & Cryptsy, they had much different plans. But can you imagine if Yobit actually had an accounting team or a CFO? I'm sure they and places like Poloniex do a pretty good business. And that's what I wouldn't mind investing in.

TBH, I did not realize coins existed like this. How are any of these linked to marijuana? To me, they're just shitcoins and don't need to exist, just like the thousands of others that have gimmicky gimmicks. It's not surprising that that one mentioned above lost 60+% of its value. Who buys this stuff??

I love Circle. It's the easiest way to buy bitcoin for me, and I've tried several. I'm not surprised when the banks express interest in cryptocurrency, though I think bitcoin's market cap is far too small and bitcoin itself is far too speculative for banks to take much of an interest.

Hell yes. And gamblers have quite obviously flocked to bitcoin. Just look at the gambling section and look at how well the online casinos are doing. I'm not a huge gambler myself, but I can certainly see the appeal of bitcoin and its utility. The anonymity is a great thing, too, unless you're getting your coins on Coinbase or Circle. They'll dump your ass faster than you can blink if you move what you buy to a gambling site.

I would agree, as it's blind greed that leads to this stupidity, and that deserves failure IMO. It's different than gamblers who've got problems with betting. These are people who just want to pawn off shitcoins on the next sucker. In any case, I won't weep over these people's losses. I'm pretty much with Spoetnik on this one.

Agreed, should be the death knell for him. But never underestimate the stupidity of the average American voter. Evidence for that is that Trump has gotten this far in the race, which absolutely blows my mind.
I'm loving hard assets and bitcoin right now. We are in trouble if Trump gets elected, but I do think he's a good businessman. Scumbag, but good with money.

How many threads are you going to create? The more you create, the more you look like a total scammer. No one wants to do this deal with you, dude. Too risky.

Escrow isn't going to help much on OP's side, as getting a CC payment reversed is child's play.
It's the PLZ HURRY part of this request that makes me squirm. Scammers are always trying to rush their scams through and convince people they're not scamming. And just take a look at OP's trust score. Can't get much more red than that.

I would like to know why I did not receive my payment this week.
Have I been kicked out from this campaign without prior notice?
What are you tards complaining about? Payment is on Monday, which hasn't rolled around yet. It's tomorrow according to my calendar, so just STFU and be patient.

Classy restaurant? I would be lucky if I could find ANY restaurant in my area that took bitcoin. Or any business for that matter. I'd love to tip the paperboy in bitcoin, but he doesn't even know what it is.
I've bought coins before, and that's about it. My philosophy is kind of like what other people have said, which is that bitcoin is for saving not spending. When it gets more widely used, perhaps I'll take the plunge and start using it as a currency. Until then, I'll just go with dollars and pocket change.

I used to use Excel for my stock investments, but it's become unnecessary. I buy stocks through one single transfer agent, and that website lists it in a portfolio format. And then an online broker for two other stocks. Bitcoin I don't keep track of, but I probably should. I'm just not that organized in general, and my investments aren't that wide. I did like Excel when I used it. It was easy and did everything I needed.

Of course it's a good time, everyone is going to tell you that. But I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I just bought a little more to sit on. Good times!!

What you do with BTC
Where you spend?
Where you sell BTC ?
Where you buy BTC ?
I recharge my mobile with btc and mostly I am holding for future. I haven't sold btc yet but I do sometimes exchange them with other coins. I buy from zebpay I realize this post is really old, but I'm curious how you recharge your phone with bitcoin. Me, I just hold and save. I haven't really sought out places to spend bitcoin, because I find that to be unnecessary. It's digital gold, and you don't use gold as currency anymore. I buy using Circle mostly. Sometimes on this forum.

The price has gone down a tad so it really is a buyers market right now at these prices so I'll be topping up my account with an extra 100 ETH. I suggest you do the same.
you have always been saying buy ethereum, ethereum to da moon for ages so what is the difference now? the price is going down right now and it has not stopped nor showed any sign of reverse movement up. and the bottom price for ethereum is a lot lower than the current price so i don't really think how this can be a good suggestion. Eh? The price is just about what it was, and maybe a bit higher, than when I checked it a couple of months ago. I don't think it's going to the moon, but it's been pretty stable in the face of all the drama that went on. Still wouldn't touch it though.

Yes, I'd say the two are the same, and especially altcoin trading. That is about as risky an *investment* class as you can get. Gaining or losing is just about the same as rolling the dice, and probably you have worse odds. Trading other things like stocks and bonds, maybe not. People do that for a living on Wall Street, and you don't necessarily have to have a gambling mentality. It's a gray area for sure.
But OP, you said you're a gambler. If that's the case, the most salient aspect of this argument is how you're going to approach trading, which is likely the way a gambler would. So for you, they're going to be the same thing.

LOL this is one of the most amusing scam attempts I've seen in a while.
Sitting behind a computer, you can be anyone you want. You should have just said you were Barrack Obama and needed some quick bitcoin. And then Photoshop is your friend. No one here is going to send you anything. Forget it.

All of those things are great...if you're computer savvy, which most people are not and never will be. And to that population, fiat is so much easier to use and so much more available that there's no true need for bitcoin. I do wish you luck in proselytizing, because bitcoin needs pumpers out there. I just think if you're trying to convince Joe Blow on the street that he needs to use this funky internet currency, he'll laugh in your face. Anonymity is big, but a lot of people don't care about that.
