Asset Issuers will be happy to know that we now have #bitcoin-assets assbot integration in place.

Examples:

Code:
[17:43] <burnside> !ticker bt btc-trading-pt
[17:43] <assbot> [BTCT:BTC-TRADING-PT] 1D: 0.1575 / 0.1575 / 0.1575 (1 shares, 0.2 BTC),  7D: 0.1387 / 0.14 / 0.1575 (190 shares, 27.0 BTC), 30D: 0.125 / 0.14 / 0.1689 (426 shares, 58.6 BTC)

And this gets output to the channel for every trade:

Code:
[17:42] <assbot> [BTCTC] [BTC-TRADING-PT] 1 @ 0.1575 BTC
Code:
[18:04] <assbot> [BTCTC] [BTC-BOND] 20 @ 0.0098 = 0.196 BTC

This doesn't seem like much, but there's a lot of people that watch the channel and this will increase exposure for everyone.

Thank you all for using BTC-TC!

Import of GSDPT complete.  As with previous inports, if you didn't get your intro email, please check your spam folder before requesting support.

Many thanks to the GSDPT shareholders that chose BTC-TC.

RSM import complete.

As with previous imports, if you were expecting an email and you did not receive one, please check your spam folder before contacting Matthew or us for support.  Google in particular has been putting most of our welcome emails into the spam box.

I hope everyone will join us in welcoming RSM refugees to BTC-TC!

Great to see that all the locked assets where moved to the Locked section.
You should move locked assets which are in the approval process there too.

Why was BTCI frozen by you?

BTCT-TC shouldn't list assets witch are locked for public trading under "These assets need your vote!". There is no point voting on these assets.

Who the hell are these two people who voted NO on every Bond without a public comment? I think public comments should be requiered to vote NO.

BTCI was frozen (and removed) at the request of the issuer.

Good call on the locked assets awaiting approval.  They are now on the locked tab as well.

Public comments are not required when voting NO because sometimes the voter would prefer the comments to be private.  A NO vote does require a comment, either public or private, so in theory the asset issuer is getting good feedback either way.

Thank you for using BTC-TC!

Hey mods, quick request that you take a fresh look at RSM.

The contract wasn't there because of an issue with the form XSS filtering.  (The contract had a < in it.)  The bug is now fixed.

Also in the Asset Issuers ToS:

Quote
There is a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE of 5 BTC per security created.

Asset Issuers please read the ToS before submitting.  There is stuff in there you will probably not like and it's important that you understand that there are big differences between BTC-TC and GLBSE, especially when it comes to funds and what they are allowed to do on the exchange.

Thank you for using BTC-TC.

Quick PSA:

BMF, CPA, NYAN, NYAN.A, & NYAN.B have all been imported.  If you were expecting an email and did not receive it, please check your spam folder before making a customer service request.

By the request of the operator, teek and patrick have been excluded.  Our understanding is that they will be worked out manually.

Also, as previously discussed in a couple of threads, these assets are not trade-able unless they pass the moderation requirements.  Thus they exist solely such that the operator can execute buyouts and/or direct asset trades for the purposes of shutdown.

Please visit the individual asset pages and/or contact Usagi directly for details.

Yeah, this is the longest I've seen it down. Usually Burnside is all over it, probably enjoying a richly deserved holiday weekend.

Burnside did sleep in this morning.  Wink

There is a ticket in, they should be working on it.  The exchange has enough revenue now to afford a second frontend server, so we'll get that setup after the holidays.  Should greatly reduce the exposure to a single server going down.

Thank you for using BTC-TC!

Step 2 Updated:

Quote
Step 2:

Setup a BTC-TC account and create your asset using the same ticker you used on GLBSE.  https://btct.co/create

It will charge you 5 BTC to create the asset.

After your asset has been created, browse to it in the market, double check everything, and unlock it for voting to begin.

Quick reminder --

If you're a site mod, please vote on PAJKA.BOND.  They're a GLBSE refugee.

This came in via PM today:

Hi

...

Hope the fee for the withdrawl could be cancelled since it is really costly for small traders, and have the fee level be competitive to others

We hear and agree.  Ok, for different reasons, but the withdrawal fee has been removed.  (you'll still get hit with the bitcoind client fee if it decides to charge one.)

We are doing this because we realized that people might feel inclined to keep their BTC on the exchange in order to save the withdrawal fee.  This is not what we want.  Quite the opposite, we would like for people to NOT keep their BTC on the exchange except when necessary, and in reasonable amounts.  The exchange is not a bank, and we don't want your hard earned BTC to become a juicy target for any hackers.  Wink

33  Economy / Securities / Re: My Criteria for Approving Securites on LTC-GLOBAL and BTC Trading Corp on: December 14, 2012, 08:58:39 AM

I'm leaning toward requiring at least 50% to vote before approving/disapproving an asset.

If you go that route then you need to make it something like 50% of those who have logged in during last 48 hours or something.  Otherwise could end up with no assets getting approved if a load of people are on holiday etc.

That's true, but taking a while might be a good thing.  If it's easier to get assets approved during the holidays when are the scammers going to apply?

We could send a reminder out to voters when assets have been waiting for approval for say, 48 hrs?  (For the lazy, "ABSTAIN" would stop the reminders. Smiley

Announcing -- New Dividend Reinvestment Program!  (DRIP)

Here's how it works:

- You head to the Portfolio page, click on the My Dividends tab.
- It will show you all of your past dividends on any assets you have held.  You will also see the text: "Reinvest At Max Ł XXX Per Share"
- Check the box and set the maximum amount you are willing to pay for shares of the asset, then click "Go".
- As your dividends from that asset build up, you will see: "Dividend History: LTC-GLOBAL       Ł 4.184882 Has Accrued"
- When you accrue enough to afford a new share, the system will automatically purchase it for you at the lowest market ask price!

** Note that even if you show accrued dividends on the shares, we do not withhold this amount from your wallet balance.  Thus you have to leave your accrued dividends in your wallet if you want to have enough coin for the system to actually make the purchase when the time comes!

Thank you for using BTC-TC.

Quick Announcement.

A user reported that MalwareBytes is flagging the site.  The blocks in MalwareBytes work by IP address.

I suspect this is based on our hosting provider having given us a re-used IP address.  We'll work with MalwareBytes to get the block removed.  In the meantime, it is safe to tell MalwareBytes to ignore it.
