It has never sinced for 3 1/2 years.
I tried dozens of times. Just got it zinced since I downloaded  XVP desktop wallet.
 Is there anything else i need to do to get it staking and how will I know it is working.
 There is no coins in it yet as they have not verified my wallet yet..

I got my Virtacoinplus XVP online wallet today from John Moles. Now I can transfer my new coins there.

I do not know about anybody else but I hate the desktop wallet. Never ever works right.

John Moles will have the new desktop wallet out the first of the week. I like the online wallet way better than the desktop wallet. Just my opion.

The official swap of Virtacoin (VTA) to Virtacoin Plus (XVP) has started. It is a somewhat complicated process because the blockchain was damaged by the original Virtacoin developer and it is not possible to do a straight forward automated exchange. Here is the procedure to follow:

Create a VTA wallet account at http://vtawallet.virtacoinworld.com.
Send your VTA from your existing wallet (or wallets) to the new virtacoinworld wallet.
A verification will be done by the technical team and when that is completed you will be sent a swap key (Do Not Lose This Key and Do Not Give It to Anyone Else).
You will use the swap key to load the new XVP into a new XVP wallet. The desktop XVP wallet is available to download here:  https://ln.sync.com/dl/3510fb6d0#63ppt584-bewzesc5-iyhawdgu-h93y53gt   (There is also a new XVP online wallet being developed, but we do not have a link for that yet.)
Do not create more than one new account on vtawallet.virtacoinworld.  If you do, move all VTA to one account and notify the verification team at xvpswapverify@gmail.com
Here is some additional information:

As of this update the swapping period will expire March 21, 2017.
The swap rate will be 1000 VTA for 1 XVP. (1000 to 1).
There may not be enough pre-mined XVP to cover all of the very large wallets and there will be a maximum limit of 100 million VTA per user. Anything over that will not be exchanged at 1000:1.   It is not clear what the rate on the excess will be or how it will be determined.
eu online wallet holders will receive an email regarding the swap and a new XVP virtacoinwallet.eu is being implemented soon.

I have millions of Virtacoins in c-cex.

 I do not see a way to get them out and put them in my Virtacoin online wallet. There is no withdrawl like on Bitcoin.

 I have put in a support ticket but do not expect to hear from them until next week. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Nobody even gave me  any advance notice that this would happen.
You would think that c-cex would at least let us move them from there site before shuting it down.

It does not make sence for c-cex to keep our Virtacoins.

 My virtacoin is there, but not on top of site  and not there when i search for Virtacoin. Anybody know what is happenning. There is no way to buy or sell that I can see.

I have no working desktop wallet.
 I have tried everything I know of to get it working. It is 73 weeks out of sinc.

 I have put in some nodes and it takes them and others it does not. I have deleted the total wallet from my computer and downloaded a new one [ I thought] only to get the old one back. Is there a way to get a brand new desktop wallet and start from scratch.

Or maybe someone hear knows how to restart the desktop wallet i have. I am useing the online wallet and never had a problem with it.
 The reason I would like to get my desktop wallet working is that i would like to mine with it.
It was working back in 2014.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think Able or John or somebody that is maybe working on promoting Virtacoin in some way in the next weeks need to step up to the plate to day and give us a heads up to what is comming down the pipeline in reguards to what it is that they are going to do to promote Virtacoin. That way we may be able to pitch in.

 That way we will get inspired to carry on and try to find ways to get more involved ourselves. At this moment ( today) I see no rainbow on the horizon to pick up my spirits.

 I think a lot of us feel the same way.

 The Founderfund is going empty fast. Can't put Virtacoin in Kiva fund. We lost bleutrade exchange. Virtacoin is worth VTA (VTA) 0.00000001 BTC what's to be excited about?

 Last Sept 30 when Virtacoin was 25 Sotschi's there was loads of excitetement. Where do we go from here? That is the question us untechnical and newbies are desperately needing answers too. Are they going to be beta testing anything that we can get involved in.

 Are there investments we could make (Virtacoin, Money) to help with projects.

I have done my share of mining but when mining only gives you, say 1000000 Virtacoin or less for $100 usd. and I can buy 9000000 Virtacoin on c-cex for $100 usd, it's a no brainer. Let's see if today we can pick our spirits up.

Virtacoin mining update.

Update 2-3-17:  The mining pool E-POOL.net has added Virtacoin.  If you are familiar with mining, direct your miner to stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:5761 .  Use your Virtacoin wallet address as the user name and any password.  Payments are sent automatically and have been received promptly, indicating the blockchain is functioning properly.  The network still needs more miners, so if you are inclined to do so, we recommend mining on E-Pool.

 Maybe the tide is turning.

 I bought a lot Virtacoin for 1 Satoshi  in the last month. I had a buy order  for Virtacoin for 1 Sotchi on c-cex for the last three days, buy had go to 2 Satoshi this morning in order to buy any. Maybe Virtacoin is on the upswing.  Let's hope so. Time will tell. Therefore it cost me double the money to buy the same amount of Virtacoin today that I bought 4 days ago for 1 satoshi. You do the math.

 That is a very impressive list. There is still a lot of desire to make Virtacoin grow into the peoples coin.

You can still buy loads of Virtacoin on C-cex exchange very cheaply and hold until Virtacoin makes it's come back in 2017.

 It's always a risk. I bought 2 1/2  million Virtacoin on C-Cex yesterday for $25 at 1 satoschi.

  I believe if i hold them for a few months they will rise in value. Sept. 2016 those 2 1/2 million would have sold for approx. $500. Correct me if I am wrong please.

 I have great faith in Virtacoin. Please invest carefully as there is risk.

 I believe the rewards outway the risk at this moment.

Remember Bitcoin. 10 Bitcoin is worth $8960.00 to-day. If only you had bought 2 1/2 million Bitcoins 9 years ago.
