27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: April 22, 2016, 10:46:33 AM
So after reading this article and especially the ending:

Quote
One thing is for certain: having made Bitcoin less of a security worry, transparency will now be key in attracting users to new models, placing control of funds and fees in an upfront way in their own hands.

I'm wondering what's stopping people from using bitcoin?

And now I'm talking about people who already aware of bitcoin and how it works but still not using it.

The price is now pretty much stable for more then a year, security issues are out of the question - so why we can't see in 2015 more companies switching to it, especially considering the unstable condition of moden economy?

Cool article..wish there would be more discussions like this..

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ETHEREUM][EXPANSE] DwarfPool - stable pool with PPS system. on: April 08, 2016, 09:37:47 AM

download the nicehash miner.  it has a bunch of different algos in it.  for eth miner go to dwarfpool - ethereum then follow instructions (they have links to ethminer).  ethminer can only mine eth.

I dowloaded nicehash miner. But i see olny btc mining option there.. how can i mine other currencies?

Hi, i am really new to this.. but when i found about mining, i was hooked. I dont have special mining systems, i own Dell inspiron with intel core i7 and dual graphics cards (best one -AMD Radeon HD 7730M) I want to ask, can i do mining and how i can start. Every people say different stuff..Some guy said that best option is to stake coins in wallets. I tried staking like 4$ in BLK and Vericoins for about week.. i got nothing... Then some guy told me to min ETH.. I followed "https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-ethereum/" this guide and for like 6h i was downloading older transactions..i downloaded more than 600k, but my pc was 100% disk usage on task manager and warm as hell. (so i stopped) Then i start to ask peeps on different altcoin sites, what should i mine with my pc. One guy said you should try EXP. Can anyone please give detailed guide. how to do that.. And will it be profitable with my pc and wont warm it up so i can bake pancakes on it.
Thanx guys!

Hey you can mine eth without downloading all that stuff (blockchain).  Just install ethminer for example and point it at a pool, should work.  But your video card needs 2gb memory or more or else it wont work at all.  I would suggest to go to nicehash.com, download the miner, do the benchmark and see what your rig can do.  Then decide for yourself what coins you want to mine.  have fun !

Hi, Thank you for your response. As i am really new to this, can you tell me please where can i find ethminer download. And how can i start mining other currencies with it? I didnt find eth miner on nicehash.com
