Just checked, my rather ancient 5.0.15-alpha is having 22 connections atm. When you say you had 8 connections, you probably had only outgoing connections and are not a listening node. I see only three peers of my 22 are outgoing, all other 19 are incoming connections. You might want to try these three listening nodes in your conf file: addnode=78.46.37.209 addnode=145.239.189.106 addnode=85.10.208.71
Current block height at the time of posting this is # 1601088. HTH Thanks for your reply. I tried adding these nodes to my config file and unfortunately the wallet still was unable to find any connections. I took a look at the debug file and it keeps on saying "connection timed out." Would you happen to have any idea what the problem is? Thank you! "connection timed out" sounds a lot as if you had a problem connecting to thses nodes. Maybe some security product, personal firewall or "smart" consumer router does block these connections? If you can ping above nodes but still do not get any connections, make sure that nothing blocks access to port tcp/41682 . HTH Thanks again for your reply. I tried creating a new rule in my firewall for the slimcoin wallet app, and even disabled my firewall for a period of time....unfortunately none of these options were able to get my wallet to sync. Here is what I have written in my slimcoin.conf file. Can you kindly take a look at it? Maybe I've forgotten to include something? Or if possible, could you share what you've written in your .conf file? Thanks again for you help! addnode=78.46.37.209 addnode=145.239.189.106 addnode=85.10.208.71 addnode=37.187.100.75 addnode=112.113.96.138 addnode=123.2.121.70 addnode=188.134.72.213 addnode=5.9.38.137 addnode=178.222.61.137 addnode=81.207.93.95 addnode=146.200.136.172 addnode=212.186.174.90 addnode=5.9.39.9 addnode=86.56.74.0 addnode=213.165.83.122 addnode=217.65.8.75 addnode=46.160.104.75 addnode=5.105.63.14 addnode=195.19.128.122 daemon=1 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=41683 port=41682 server=1 listen=1 rpcuser=******* rpcpassword=********

Hello,
has anyone had any issues with their wallet recently? Up until a few hours ago, it had 8 connections and now it's down to zero. I tried adding nodes to the .conf file but that didn't help. Can someone else confirm that they are having the same issue? I just wanted to see if it's "me" or if it's the network.
Thanks!

hello, the wallet won't sync can I get a list of nodes? Thanks!

is it still possible to solo mine via the wallet? Or is it basically never going to happen...

Hi everyone, I have an old Antminer S5 laying around…a friend of mine who is curios in mining ask me to show him how it worked. After turning it on, I noticed that both boards on the miner began hashing, but the temperature information for only one of the boards is displayed (see the image I’ve included). I realize that mining with an S5 is not at all profitable, but for the sake of curiosity and fixing things, I wanted to know what could be the issue. Does anyone know why only one of the boards is displaying temperature information? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. here is a link to the screen shoot I took: https://i.imgur.com/KooaDvJ.png

Hey everyone,
I'd like to purchase one or two Avalon Nano 3 miners. Yes, yes I know, these guys are obsolete with today's mining difficulty. This is more of a hobby for me than anything else.
If there is anyone out there that is willing to sell their Avalon Nano 3 miners, please shoot me a message with your offer. Or please point me to a source where I can purchase one.
Thank you!

Hello,
has anyone had any issues using the expanse coin wallet lately? I haven't been able to receive the coins that I mined. Its been a few days since they were sent, but I don't see them in my wallet. Additionally, I'm having trouble creating a new contract. When I try and create one, the wallet says "creating contract" but never actually creates one.
Any ideas on what could be wrong? Perhaps my wallet is not syncing correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hello,
I had to re-sync my wallet...everything was going fine but then last night the wallet stopped syncing, apparently there are no active connections. I've tried adding new nodes, but nothing has helped. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Thanks!

I certainly hope you're keeping them cool.
Yep lol they are cooled by a fan. These guys get pretty hot!

I'm running 2 2Pacs at a frequency of 200. One of the miners always goes into Zombie mode. I've turned on the voltage on the one that goes into zombie mode and that seemed to have worked. Both miners were running fine for a few days, but just recently that same miner just went into zombie mode again. I think I've turned the voltage up the max on that particular miner, I'm not really sure what I can do to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just as a side note, I'm using a good powered hub that supplied 2.1 AMPs to each port, in case this information is helpful...

garbage hub pulled from amazon listing you linked: Easily add 10 USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports to your PC and enjoy data transfer rates of up to 5Gbps for faster sync times. 10th data port also delivers BC 1.2 charging speeds of up to 2 amps, while the other 9 ports charge at speeds of up to 0.9 amps each, with 10 amps overall among 10 ports. High-power 60W adapter ensures stable data transfer. Blue LED indicates normal operation. Designed with a built-in surge protector to keep your devices safe. Supports hot swapping. No installation of drivers required for Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 or Mac OS X 10.2 and above. Package contents: Anker USB 3.0 10-Port Hub, 12V / 5A power adapter, 2.6ft USB 3.0 cable, welcome guide, 18-month hassle-free warranty. note they max at 0.9 amps for long term usage. So a two chip stick wants more amps then the 0.9 max even at freq 100 Please try feeding the 2 chip sticks with this https://www.amazon.com/HIGHROCK-Enhancer-Female-Charge-Extension/dp/B00NIGO4NM/ref=sr_1_5?Would getting a stronger power supply to power the hub mentioned above solve my voltage/amps problem? I don't know if the .9 amps that is mentioned is in the description is limited by the power supply or by the hub its self? In other words, by getting a stronger power supply, could I theoretically get more than .9 amps out of each point? Thanks

Just a few follow up questions: Which windows version are you using? 7/8/10? Did you happen to notice if the number/id to the left of the GSD string increase slowly over time? I'm running windows 7. And yes, it increased over time. That happens even when I run the two compac-1s by alone without the compac-2s. Since the increasing numbers really didn't get in the way of hashing I kind of ignored them. Are the increasing numbers due to insufficient power reaching the chips? Thanks.

Depending on heat and how strong the 5V rail is, these guys should only pull about 0.8-0.85A at 100MHz. But that's still cutting it close for continuous use.
he was running 2x 2 + 2 x1 = 6 sticks so I know it runs out of gas when I would do 6 or 7 sticks and keep working with 5 sticks. he could run 2 x 2 maybe or find those y cables . I think he can do the four of them after he adds the cables. I'm actually only running four, 2 compac-2 and 2 compac-1, but even with four I'm having these issues. I'm going to go ahead and order one of the cables you were mentioning. Thanks for all of the help guys.

Lol Guess I've been missing out. I'll put that on my to do list lol.

So I hope I didn't break the potentiometer on my 2pac. Is it the potentiometer designed to stop turning at a certain point? Or does it continuously turn? Because mine continuously turn and don't seem to stop at any place. I'm trying to figure out if I'm at the highest voltage setting. Unfortunately I don't have a volt meter, so I was hoping by turning the potentiometer far enough, it would stop at one point indicating the highest voltage. If I'm not making sense please let me know and I'll try explaining again.

Hi everyone,
My wallet isn't staking. I get the message: "Not Staking Because You Don't Have Enough Weight." I looked around on this thread for possible answers, and I found out about coin controlling and splitting your coins. I wasn't able to find a description of these terms, but it sounds like they have to do with staking. Could someone please fill me in on this or point me to a source that will help me understand everything more?
Thanks very much.
Welcome amigo, Check here under POS-II-V2 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9991269#msg9991269Maybe its what you are looking for! Thanks very much for pointing me to that source. So from what I gather, the reason why I don't have enough weight right now is because my wallet has been off line for too long? Do I just leave it on and eventually it'll start staking? Or is there something else I need to do? Thanks again for your help. Hi Wingless, Best thing to do is send all your coins back to yourself, that will reset the weight back. I use coin control to do this with my staking from time to time to reset the coins that have 15000 confirmations or more (if you wallet is really old you probably don't need coin control yet) Hi Starmman, That worked perfectly, thanks a lot!!!
