21  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Difficulty = 567358 on: June 06, 2011, 02:59:18 PM
in 10 days 1 BTC will be 25$  Smiley
But then in 20 days 1 BTC will be 0.25$
BTC is overheating now and we don't need to break 20$.
22  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best PSU to buy? on: June 04, 2011, 09:18:30 AM
I have FSP Aurum in 2x5870 rig and Enermax Modu87+ in 2x6970 rig. Enermax is best - very efficient, quiet, stable but high-priced.
23  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin Mining Rigs, Solar Energy, and William Yuan on: June 04, 2011, 09:09:32 AM
This 500-times is not efficiency increase. Todays best solar cells are very efficient - about 40%. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PVeff(rev110408U).jpg There is no room for efficiency even 9 times bigger.
So, no revolution. More likely just misinterpretation.
24  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's your energy rate? on: June 02, 2011, 09:59:25 AM
$0.27/kWh -> $210 monthly for my rigs
25  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Crossfire mining on: May 31, 2011, 06:20:32 AM
I have one of my rigs crossfired and I am noticing 0 difference in mining between doing that and running each monitor independently, as one datapoint.
Me too. What is real difference VGAdummy vs. CF? 0! I have 2x5870 a 2x6950. No difference. Bonus of CF is ability to use rig as mighty CF gaming rig.
26  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Will bitcoin computation power eventually rest in the hands of a few? on: May 27, 2011, 09:07:47 AM
We've already seen deepbit take 50% of the total hashing power before.
And now others have more than 50%. You don't know who are others. IMO is better to know several well known pools than one unknown mass of others where can be hidden someone with >50% power.
27  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 2 VGA in one mother in WinXP without using dummys? on: May 27, 2011, 08:22:02 AM
Why do you not recomend CF? I have 2x HD5870 in CF and fair performance 2x 380MH/s without dummyplugs. I can mine with each card separately.
28  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 2 cards mining, 1 consistent the other varies Help please :) on: May 27, 2011, 08:18:25 AM
Check your GPU temp on the troubled card.  I had a similar problem when a GPU went >90C.
It is temperature problem mostly.
I have 2x HD5870 and second was steadily 100Mh/s under first. One 120mm fan gives me this 100MH/s, so it is definitely best coin/buck hardware :-)
29  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining difficulty rate!! on: May 24, 2011, 06:37:58 AM
Next difficulty level will probably be 400k+
Mining is still too profitable to slowdown growth of network hashrate.
30  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: AMD Catalyst 11.5 Discussion on: May 19, 2011, 11:28:47 AM
I have a windows desktop/rig with 2x unlocked 6950 Crossfire. 11.5 slows down mining from 720Mh/s to 710Mh/s. But I'm using it for gaming too. So I have reason to stay with 11.5
